Janice has a gentle way with animals and is genuinely interested in how they feel and what they need. Addie received excellent care and loving attention during her visit.”

About: I am an Artist who works from home a lot and would love some extra furry companionship :) I understand that being in a new place with new people can feel stressful for the first time. We can go on long walks together at least twice a day and then they can sleep where ever they are most comfortable. I have a flexible schedule most days, so I can work around any animal care that may be needed. I love having furry companions around. We will play fetch, drink lots of water, go for walks and probably just hangout and read together. Right now I am working freelance so I can arrange my schedule as needed to make animal accomodations. I love to start my day with animal smiles. First I like to survey the areas of the home to make sure there isn't anything dangerous that has been mistakenly left out that might cause harm. And then we can establish a place for the pet items so they can start to feel more comfortable in a new environment. I also make sure the water bowl is always filled.

About: I recently moved to Poughkeepsie from the city so now the adventure I provide is different than before. I believe in building trust between the owners a well as their pets. I like to take the dogs on adventures from a simple walk , the dog park and even car rides. I treat every animal under my care as part of the family and with my experience, the dogs are brought back. Using Rover and meeting new families allows my dogs to have companion for a few days as well. My family and I learn about different breeds as well. As a family, we do this together because the animals become part of our life. Every dog is a new experience to have fun with and enjoy. Sometimes it is hard to leave one's dog with someone they have not meet and I have always made it a point to provide a sense of security and trust. I recently went back to work but my family loves dogs and we provide a second home where the dogs and owners are comfortable with us. This is not a me thing only. My family are part of the care of the dogs. The family takes care of our own dogs so why not share in the same responsibility for someone's else dog. I have a fenced yard and I try my best to keep the same schedule in my house as the dogs have in their own home.

About: I can care for your pet as specific as needed. They will feel right at home. I will treat them with care and cuddles! I have the time, and passion for animals. I am available Sunday through Wednesday for pet care and I work Thursday through Saturday at a Medi Spa. I’d like to occupy my free time with some animal therapy. I don’t currently have my own pets but always had a family animal growing up. My home is very clean and spacious for them to roam safely. I don’t have children, it’s open floor plan with nothing for them to get into.
