About: Like any sitter on Rover, I have a deep love for animals, but what sets me apart is my experience caring for and advocating for pets who may be nervous, fearful, or reactive. I’ve been a proud owner of Maple for the past 8 years. She is a very nervous and fear-reactive Australian Cattle Dog/Jack Russell rescue, and over the years I’ve worked closely with her to help her feel more comfortable and confident. That has included training, medication, patience, and plenty of high-value treats! Living with Maple has taught me how important it is to understand a pet’s individual needs, recognize their body language and comfort levels, and never rush them into situations they aren’t ready for. I’m comfortable giving pets the time, space, and reassurance they need to feel safe and cared for. Whether your pet is outgoing and playful or needs a little extra patience and understanding, I’m committed to meeting them where they are and giving them the care they deserve. If your pet has a hard time on walks, I am perfectly comfortable handling these types of situations to ensure they get their walks stress free. Otherwise, all the more excited to work with you and your pets' needs. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, and I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give pets plenty of one-on-one attention. I’m generally available for visits between 6–11 AM on weekdays, as well as most hours on weekends. I’m happy to work around your pet’s normal routine and can accommodate regular visits or occasional drop-ins. I’m also comfortable administering medications when needed, whether that means a pill hidden in a high-value treat or following specific instructions from you. My goal is to keep your pet’s routine as consistent and stress-free as possible while you’re away. When caring for a pet in their home, my first priority is making sure they feel safe and comfortable in their own space. I follow your instructions closely and do my best to keep their normal routine consistent—from feeding and walks to medications, playtime, and quiet time. I’m especially mindful of doors, gates, leashes, and other potential escape routes, and I never assume a pet is comfortable with something just because another pet might be. I pay attention to body language and let pets set the pace, especially when they’re shy, nervous, or reactive. My experience with Maple, my nervous and fear-reactive rescue, has taught me to be patient, observant, and proactive. I understand that building trust can take time, and I would much rather give a pet the space they need than push them beyond their comfort zone. I also know how important it is for owners to feel comfortable trusting someone in their home. I’ll treat your space with the same care and respect I give your pets, and I’ll keep you updated during visits so you know how your pet is doing.

The time I go to work and return home has some flexibility. I work from home Wednesday and Friday and have a little more flexibility on those days. I’m available most weekends too. I can accommodate your needs to the best of my ability. I am open to house sitting and overnights as well as walks. I’m comfortable providing care for all types of pets. I have a very large crate at my house if a house stay requires the pet be crated. I’m happy to stay at a house if need be to provide care. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
