Upon meeting Mary & Hugh, I felt safe that I was leaving my dog Carter in such great hands. I had addressed my concerns I had about my dog needing to be inside gated areas at all times when outside, and they had showed me their front porch and backyard assuring me that I shouldn’t have anything to worry about as everything was gated! When I came to pick up Carter, he was so exhausted from a fun day playing with all the other doggos. They texted me updates and pictures of Carter throughout his stay. I felt as ease and was able to enjoy my time on the mountain while I was away. Mary & Hugh were so great! Will definitely be booking with them in the future.

This was our first sitting experience and it went so well. Jessica was very responsive and let us know our nervous girl was content and sent us a picture of her laying on the couch. Our girls were happy when we picked them up. I would rebook with her again. We had a last minute request for a later pick up and Jessica had no issue keeping them a little longer.

Moriah was able to take Marlow with short notice during our family crisis. She sent pictures and a video of Marlow having a great time, one less thing for me to worry about. Marlow had a great time running around the yard or resting inside out of he heat. Moriah was very flexible with my husband dropping her off and me picking her up. I would definately book with her again.

About: Hi! My name is Persia. I have been around dogs my entire life and truly love caring for pets. I currently have one small dog at home- as well as two cats. I make sure all pets’ needs are met through daily feeding, walks, playtime, attention, and affection. I am patient, gentle, and dedicated to making small dogs feel safe, comfortable, and loved at all times. Hi! I am a college student back home in California for the summer. I am an animal lover in need of something to keep me busy over the summer, so this is what i chose to do! Spend time with animals and care, as i am very experienced and have grown up having pet animals. I am very experienced with pets, knowing the risks they take (running off, eating random twigs on the floor), so I will be a very attentive sitter. Your pet will not be lonely or left unattended by me! He/she can walk safely with me and be safe in my home. My yard is the largest in the city, and i have a dog play pen. They can run around in the dog pen! My house is also a free range for your pet.

Alexis was an absolutely amazing caretaker I would 100% book with her again and probably will do so in the near future. The amount of care, dedication and attention left me feeling so relieved that my two pups were in great hands even if one of my pups was a bit skittish and had boundaries with strangers it was clear he was able to relax in her home. She took plenty of pictures and her notes were so detailed I felt completely sure that they were having a great time. They had plenty of long walk’s, enrichment activities and made sure they were fed well and full. Its clear she has a great skill set that allows her to understand dog behavior exceptionally that makes her perfect for taking care of your pups, I was able to learn even more about my pups during their stay with Alexis. Cant recommend enough!

About: I've taken care of dogs for as long as I can remember! My family always had one or two rescue dogs when I was growing up and then I went on to rescue my own dogs as an adult. I have also volunteered as a foster to rescue dogs waiting for their forever homes. I currently have an Australian Cattle Dog. We love going on hikes together! There are many trails surrounding my house, your pup will enjoy many hikes while staying with me. I am a huge animal lover and all my friends know this about me. I am always their first call when they need someone to watch their pets. I love going on long walks and hikes with dogs and I can't wait to meet your pup! I work from home so I can give your pet all the love and attention they deserve! My schedule is very flexible so I can take your pet on frequent walks throughout the day. I have a large fenced in yard so your pet will have plenty of space to chase squirrels and take potty breaks. I have a friendly 35lb cattle dog to keep your pet company.

About: Caring for animals is my calling in life! I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from Humboldt State University. As a dedicated veterinary technician and docent for the Big Bear Zoo, I have the privilege of providing exceptional care to a wide range of animals and pets. My commitment to the wellbeing of all animals goes beyond just a job; it's a lifelong passion! I'm currently working full time at an emergency animal hospital off the mountain. However, I work double shifts to allow myself some days off during the week and look forward to making some new furry friends! Caring for pets in a client's home is a responsibility I take very seriously, ensuring their comfort, safety, and happiness while their owners are away. My approach to in-home pet care includes: Meet and Greet: I begin by meeting with the client and their pet(s) to establish a rapport and understand their specific needs and routines. Feeding and Hydration: I adhere to the provided feeding schedule, ensuring that pets receive the right amount of food and fresh water. Special dietary requirements are noted and followed diligently. Exercise and Play: Regular exercise and playtime are essential for a pet's physical and mental well-being. I engage in activities tailored to the pet's age and energy level, whether it's a spirited game of fetch or a leisurely walk. Medication and Health Monitoring: If the pet requires medication or has specific health needs, I administer treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian. I also monitor their overall health and report any concerns to the owner promptly. Grooming and Cleanliness: Maintaining the pet's cleanliness is a priority. I provide necessary grooming, including brushing, bathing, and litter box cleaning, to ensure they are comfortable and hygienic. Affection and Companionship: Pets often thrive on companionship and affection. I spend quality time with them, offering cuddles, petting, and positive reinforcement to alleviate any separation anxiety. Security and Home Care: I maintain the security of the client's home by ensuring all doors and windows are locked, and I handle any mail or packages. This gives clients peace of mind while they're away. Daily Updates: Regular communication with the client is crucial. I provide daily updates through texts, photos, or videos to keep them informed about their pet's well-being and activities. Emergency Preparedness: I am trained, experienced and prepared for unexpected situations, including medical emergencies. I have contact information for the client's preferred veterinarian and am beyond qualified for basic pet first aid. Respect for Property: I treat the client's home with the utmost respect, leaving it as clean and tidy as I found it. Overall, my goal is to create a stress-free and nurturing environment for pets in the client's home, allowing them to thrive in their familiar surroundings while their owners are away.

Maribel is the BEST dog sitter, trainer, and care taker around. I was so worried about using an app to find a dog sitter for my 5 month old puppy but Maribel is the real deal. She takes her time when it comes to pick up and drop off, and always puts the dogs safety first. She has two great, incredibly well trained dogs of her own. She has helped me teach my dog manners when it comes to walking on the leash, waiting at the door/gate, and when it comes to greeting people. I told her my dog was experiencing car anxiety and she took the time during day care to drive him around and found ways to help calm him in the car while making sure he learned car manners. She sends pictures and updates throughout the day. She also takes the dogs on "pack-walks" when its not too hot and it is the best! Anyways, she is great and I would highly recommend her to any of my friends and family who have pups.

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Pinezanita

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 692 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Pinezanita. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Pinezanita commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 692 sitters in Pinezanita, 89% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
