About: BF's allergies prevent dogs of our own (had dogs since I was in diapers). Time with yours gives me my "fix" AND saves you worry. Can work anywhere with WiFi, so except for gym-time/tennis practice (spring/summer) I can be with your pet/pets from first eye-open to bedtime. Plenty of play/lovin'! Was pre-vet med in college, so not squeamish about pills/shots. Always try to arrange pre-stay meet'n'greet so your baby is not startled by my presence.

About: I’ve always had animals around while growing up. I don’t think I can recall a time I haven’t had a pet. I even insisted on rescuing my dear Daizie May when I was 12 from the pound. I’ve helped raise several litters and rescue any dog I see in need. I have to actively stay off Facebook as to not fall into fostering or taking in any animal in need. My boyfriend calls me a Disney Princess with the way I communicate with my animals. It’s all about body language, respect, and patience. Trust is extremely important. I currently work a flexible schedule in my family owned business and am looking for side jobs that I also am passionate about. Any time that I’m needed I can usually make it work. I’m ready to follow and assist in whatever systems are set up in your family and household. Whatever your fur family is used to! Photos are VERY important and cherished.

About: I've always had friends with dogs and have done house and dog sitting for many years without any issues. I also have a saint Bernard, Banks! I'm currently looking for a new job after I was laid off from my former job. I have a lot of time on my hands currently so I have open availability. I take my doggo out on walks every day! We're also lazy from time to time but we're usually more active. I'm very engaged with my dog as he can be very energetic so I can definitely handle bigger dogs with a lot of energy.

Caesar is so knowledgeable and patient with my Mastiff and Boston terrier. My mastiff is not typically comfortable with men and Caesar has been working with him, taking him on walks and after a couple of visits their total pals! Caesar knows a lot about dog psychology and has helped me a lot with how I work with my dogs. I highly recommend using Caesar for all of your pet sitting services.

About: After years of caring for all my friends pets when they go out of town I decided to give this a try! I love all animals and now that I work part time at home I am always available. I am a very active person and love the outdoors so I have no problem spending time outside with your pet. Living in Big Bear there are plenty of trails and dog parks available to visit within walking distance of our home. We also have a doggy door and a fenced in backyard. We do not have pets of our own but look forward to meeting and caring for yours! I know leaving pets can be stressful but rest assured your pet will be happy and cared for.

About: I’ve always been around dogs and currently care for two samoyeds of my own, so I understand the importance of routine, patience, and attention to detail. I’m experienced with feeding schedules, walks, playtime, cleanup, and making pets feel comfortable in new environments. I treat every pet like they’re my own and always aim to create a safe, loving, and stress-free experience for both pets and owners. Pet care fits well into my weekly routine because I have a flexible schedule and already structure my days around caring for my own dogs. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting throughout the week, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and many weekends. I enjoy having pet care as part of my daily routine and make sure pets get consistent attention, exercise, and care. I care for pets according to each owner’s instructions and try to keep their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I follow feeding schedules, walk routines, potty breaks, medications, crate instructions, and any specific care requests closely. Whether in my home or a client’s home, I make sure pets receive attention, exercise, supervision, and a safe, comfortable environment throughout the day. I also provide updates and photos so owners feel reassured while they’re away.

About: I have always been an animal lover so I figured that being a pet sitter/dog walker would be a great job for me! I’m currently going to college to be a Veterinarian. I have had tons of experience working with animals, including working at a petting zoo and on a small ranch which I thoroughly enjoyed! I currently have a dog, 2 hamsters, and a fish whom I love and spoil endlessly. I have had many many dogs in my lifetime. My first dog was a rescue from YAPS who, in her old age, became blind and deaf requiring a lot of extra care. My current rescue is a Boxer/Bull Mastiff mix that has severe anxiety and does not get along well with other dogs so I have learned how to handle dogs with an assortment of disabilities. I’m just looking to spend time with animals while earning money to put myself through college!

About: I’ve been dog sitting for 6+ years now, my previous job was a dog bather and i worked at a rescue home for dogs so I have a load of experience with all kinds of them. I’ve dealt with young, old, hyper, couch potatoes and many disabled dogs and you can trust me to take the best care of them possible. I have handled many agressive dogs and broken up dog fights, trained adopted dogs, puppies and I have fostered and adopted a wonderful border collie mix for over a year. I take care of other pets as well! I work a 4 hour shift on select days during the week, please contact me for more information on that. I have a flexible schedule! I will take great care of your dog and I’ll give them lots of love and play time! They will get frequent potty breaks and will always be under my supervision. I am more than happy to have the dogs on the bed to sleep if the owner allows, I want to make them as comfortable as possible.

About: I have a lot of experience under my belt, but also formal schooling. I have received a bachelors degree in animal science and just recently finished up my masters degree. Every since I could remember I was caring for dogs, cats, goats, pigs, donkeys, lizards, hamsters, fish, and emus! Yes, even emus! I have taught children at a farm animal kids camp, worked at multiple cat/dog shelters and have experience dealing with larger dog breeds. I will always work around animals, and want to provide pet owners with a piece of mind when leaving your furry family members in my care. I have had my fair share of animals and I completly understand the stress that comes with leaving them, keeping them healthy, and keeping them happy! I am very flexible so if you have special requests please ask away and I'll be sure to get back to you as soon as I can! Additional Skills -insulin/medication injections -grooming/cleaning -basic training -non-dog friendly dogs and safe walk handling -atimid/scared/aggressive cat handling My avaibility is currently flexible between minimal classes. Please contact me with your specific time requests and I will work it into my calender :) When entering into any clients home, I am sure to leave it the way I found it! My number one priority is your animals and their safety. I constantly watch out for hazardous objects and choking prevention! I have an extremely flexible job that allows me to wiggle around work hours, with this I am able to choose time frames that work best to my schedule. Luckily for me, this compounds with Rover bookings quite nicely! At this time, I am no longer offering any boarding services in my own home environment. Check back at a later date for any updates!

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and had dogs of my own throughout the past 40 years. I treat all dogs and cats as if they are my own and am affectionate, kind, and playful. I work for myself as a handyman throughout the San Bernardino mountains and can set my own schedule. I’m currently training to be a dog trainer as well. It’s important animals feel safe and secure in their environment and the care taker is available to them on the animals timeline. I’m incredibly patient and kind and make a concerted effort to gain their trust as well. Ensuring they always have food and water, get ample bathroom breaks, and have access at all times to their creatures of comfort such as toys and bed. I’m very tall, and as a result often get on the ground or at the level of the animal to see them at their level. I walk quietly, I don’t slam doors, don’t smoke or consume alcohol that could be disruptive to their senses, and am highly aware of their need for affection, play time, or being left alone.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 1,692 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across Pinezanita. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Pinezanita. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Pinezanita.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Pinezanita. On Rover:

  • 90% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
