“Our boy Max thoroughly enjoyed his two days hanging out with Hugh and Mary! We like to ski and no pups allowed, so we checked Rover and found this retired couple who have a heart (and lap!) for spoiling dogs. 🐕 Max was pooped out the first day, after getting to watch tv with Hugh and keeping Mary company while she did some work. He was happy yo see us at the end of the day skiing, and happy to go back for a second day of TLC with his new friends. We love Hugh and Mary, and you will, too!”

“Matt is truly a dog whisperer. He is always my #1 go to whenever I’m going out of town or will be away from home all day. I have a 2 year old French Bulldog with a handful of health issues and allergies and Matt pays such close attention to her and tends to her the same way that I would. She gets so excited whenever she sees him come in and she runs straight to him. He always makes sure that she gets plenty of love and playtime and follows all of my instructions very thoroughly. I cannot recommend him enough!”

About: We love animals! And we have an extra soft spot for senior dogs. I am located in Big Bear City and will arrange to meet your pet before our first appointment to ensure that they are comfortable with me caring for them. I work part time and am always happy to fit a pup or cat visit into my day. If your animal has a specific time they prefer to visit, just let me know. We are happy to walk your pup or play with them at your residence. Cats will be nuzzled and loved in your safely within your home.

“Caesar was friendly and great with my 8 month old golden retriever. His house was about 5-10 min from snow summit so was great to drop the dog off for the day and pick up on the way out. Easy to text/communicate with! Highly recommend if you’re up in big bear for the day and do not want to board your dog.”

About: I have always been an animal lover. I have a BS degree in Biology with an emphasis in Zoology, and I managed a veterinary clinic for seven years. We currently have a German Shepherd, a Great Dane, and one large fluffy cat who are our furry kids. I am a very compassionate and empathetic person. I have been in social services by trade, and I love connecting and developing relationships with people and have a particular love and connection with animals. Even in my work both Child and Adult Protective Services, I always found myself drawn to protecting and caring for animals as well, to try and be their voice and an advocate. Working with people and pets seems like a natural progression, as it plays to all of my strengths!

About: I've had dogs growing up, as an adult I owned a lab pit mix from being 4 days old to when she passed not too long ago at the age of 12. I have experience with small and large dogs I am living full time in Big Bear Lake, I am flexible on your dog sitting time needs. I am available for anything from short walks to week long sitting keeping your dog in my home. I I prefer to watch in my home. My home is dog-friendly, and you are welcome to do an inspection of my home. I have a completed fenced in large backyard that is well maintained.

She is grate with animals and has even helped me with my two cats while I was away on vacation.
