“Janeece is one of the kindest sitters we’ve ever had. She is very thorough - asks a lot of (good) questions and wants to know everything about our dogs; this makes us feel secure and helps us to trust that our furbabies are in the best care. Our dogs fell in love with Janeece and her comfortable home quickly! She sent us lots of updates with photos and videos which were great. We look forward to booking with her again!”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I highly recommend Savannah! She took great care of my Yorkie and treated him like he was her own. She was reliable, caring, and made sure he was comfortable and happy while I was away. It gave me peace of mind knowing my dog was in good hands. I would definitely use her services again!”

“Hugh and Mary are AWESOME. My fiancé and I had anxiety about leaving our little girl, but she was so well taken care of and she had a BLAST. Our Day-Z can a lot of anxiety when she’s not in the best environment, but she didn't have any here! Hugh and Mary were accommodating, communicative, and so welcoming - the ideal doggy sitters. They even gave us some parting gifts! Thank you for the love and the goodies, Hugh and Mary!”

“Caesar is friendly and flexible, and most importantly has a way with dogs that is hard to come by. Our dog loved him and obviously had a great time because he pretty much went to sleep as soon as we got home. We would definitely work with Caesar again .”

About: About Me: Animals are my life’s work. My background is unique: I spent 20 years as a commercial airline pilot, a career built on extreme reliability, safety protocols, and being dependable under pressure. I bring that same disciplined "cool head" to pet sitting. Whether I’m managing a pack on a mountain trail, caring for a senior dog, or tending to a barn, your animals’ safety and your peace of mind are my priorities.R Rehab, Healing & Holistic Expertise: For over 15 years, I have specialized in rehabbing dogs with behavioral challenges. My approach is a blend of structured positive reinforcement and intuitive energy work: Behavioral Rehab: I have extensive experience with "difficult" cases, rescues, and high-needs temperaments. Energy Work & Reiki: I am trained in Animal Reiki and Emotion Code. This allows me to help animals release trapped emotions and settle into a calm, balanced state—perfect for anxious travelers or rescues with a traumatic past. All Species, All Breeds – No Discrimination I welcome all animals regardless of breed, size, or status. I am comfortable with "power breeds," giant breeds, and intact dogs, provided they are social and well-mannered and trained. The "Adventure" Standard: For my canine guests, we go on at least one long hike or intensive walk daily, often including outings to the lake and local trails. Farm & Livestock Care: Having run a farm animal rescue, I am experienced with horses, goats, sheep, cows, pigs, and poultry. I am happy to provide farm-sitting services for those who need a caregiver who truly understands livestock. Why My Experience Matters From the cockpit to the farm, I’ve spent my life being the person people count on. Whether your animal needs a high-energy mountain guide, a calm healing presence, or a knowledgeable farm hand, I have the experience and the heart to provide it. Feel free to ask me for a multi-animal discount! I am home full time dedicating my life to my animals. We typically head out for our long walk or hike in the morning after which everyone is having their meal. The exercise in the morning ensures a calm and happy pack for the rest of the day. My property is fully fenced in and dividable into three sections: Front yard, porch and backyard. The animals are my priority and are typically never left alone.

“Amanda is very nice, flexible and detailed person. We come to Horseshoe bend ,Id to visit and have to daycare my fur baby for 1 day. She was quick to response to my inquiry on Rover. When we arrived to her place, she understood that Morty needed sometimes for adjustment and provided us as much time as needed to be with him before we departed. She is knowledgeable about the dog behaviors as she has 3 dogs herself. I felt comfortable to leave Morty under her care. When we picked him up, he was happy and content. Definitely will reach out to Amanda again when we are in town next time !”

“Taylor has watched our pup twice so far and both times she has been fantastic!!!! She happily continued our efforts on basic training commands and potty training too !!! We can definitely recommend Taylor to anyone who wants the best for their fur baby !!!”

“Maggie came home happy and tired from playing all evening. Kathy was quite understanding when we had a bit of an emergency that caused us to return later than expected.”

“Melanie and her family were very welcoming and kind to our two pups. Their dogs got along great with ours. The communication and updates throughout their stay were also very appreciated!”

“We had to find a dog sitter very last minute and reached out to Lika late at night. She responded quickly and made the whole process incredibly easy. She clearly communicated everything and set up a no-hassle appointment the very next morning. While Bella was with her, Lika was very responsive and even sent us a video of Bella playing with her family and having a great time. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing Bella was happy and well cared for. Highly recommend Lika — reliable, communicative, and truly caring. We’ll definitely be using her again!”

As of August 2026, there are 264 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Cushenbury. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Cushenbury commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
