About: I love animals and always had a dog or cat or both. They were healthy, well cared for, got lots of attention and were considered part of the family. Fast forward, I found myself without a dog or cat. So, I got certified as a foster for the SPCA, volunteer at the local shelter, am a contact for the DFW wildlife hotline, and certified in two other wildlife areas. I have fostered, helped re-home, and cared for a few pets. My children said I'd be perfect for helping folks who need someone to care for their cherished pet. So here I am at Rover. Your dog or cat will get lots of attention, cuddles, exercise, and play. I'm a retired professional that loves animals. I will NOT be working remotely on a computer or phone for hours while ignoring your pet. Your pet IS my job. I will physically be where your pet is whether inside the house or outside playing. Though experienced, I'm new on Rover, and my schedule is open. However, first come first serve. Please call with your specific needs. Your pet's safety is paramount. Inside my home: I ensure there are no exposed electrical wires, poisonous plants, chemicals on the floor, or toys that are dangerous to swallow. You can trust I have your phone and your vet's phone numbers readily accessible should any emergency or question arise. How I care for pets: Whether at my house or my client's house my care is similar. Initial greetings, carrying, petting, and talking to your pet. I will observe your pet (my habit) to ensure they look physically well, are responding and moving healthily. After my observations, in case of a cat, I clean litter pan and surrounding areas. Then outside to play if a dog (inside play if a cat). Play for both will always include running, jumping and stretching. After play is meal time and always plenty of clean fresh water. Finally, relax and cuddle time for your pet. If at my house, after mealtime, the environment will be relaxing with pet pillow beds on floor where they can rest, digest, and cuddle. That said: I follow the client's schedule to ensure not to upset their pet's habits, digestive issues, or cause anything that may promote anxiety in their pet. Inside my home is relaxing with plenty of natural light, comfy pillows beds on the floor or couch for your pet's relaxation and cuddle time. Outside: I have a very large, fenced yard for lots of play and running. There is plenty of fresh clean water both inside and outside. I even have soft relaxing music to calm any anxiety when you drop them off. At client's home: I will greet and talk to your pet, hold and pet them often.I observe physical and behavioral wellbeing. In case of a cat, I would clean litter pan and its surrounding area first. Afterwards, plenty of play time. Cats will play inside the home. Dogs outside. Whether cat or dog, play will include running, jumping and stretching. After play they will be fed and get plenty of fresh clean water. Finally, time to relax and cuddle time.

About: Currently have 1 rescue kitty and have helped rescue animals in the past. Know how hard it is to be busy building your career but still wanting to save all the animals. I am a stay at home mom to a 2 year old and just want to give back and help busy pet parents. I am very kind and positive and just want to give every animal my love and affection. I have very needy, temperamental, high maintenance and spastic animals so I can really deal with it all! I respect and give animals their space and I really can get a good vibe from every animal I have encountered. I will be able to walk off all of their energy and keep them happy! I am a stay at home mom so I am available most days and times, which is very beneficial to a large number of people. I have a fenced half acre yard so I can help in my yard or your yard. Even though we have a yard I still watch over my dog to make sure he is safe.

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my personalized approach to each pet's unique needs. I have experience with puppy training, including basic obedience and housebreaking, ensuring your young furry friend gets a solid start. I’m also skilled in senior pet care, offering gentle, patient attention to older pets who may need extra comfort and specialized support. Whether it's managing medications, providing extra cuddles, or keeping up with a puppy’s energy, I ensure your pet feels safe, loved, and well-cared for in your absences. Pet care seamlessly fits into my daily routine as I prioritize the well-being of animals in everything I do. Each day, I dedicate time to walks, play sessions, and feeding, ensuring pets get the exercise and attention they need. I also incorporate training sessions for puppies and provide specialized care for senior pets, adjusting to their individual needs. Whether it’s a morning walk, an afternoon nap time, or evening cuddle, I make sure pets are happy, healthy, and engaged throughout the day. It's not just a job—it's a passion that’s part of my everyday life. When caring for pets in my home, I create a comfortable, safe, and enriching environment tailored to each pet's needs. I ensure they have a cozy space to relax, plenty of playtime, and interactive activities to keep them mentally stimulated. I also provide personalized care, whether it's following specific feeding schedules or ensuring that any medical or special needs are met. In a client’s home, I focus on maintaining the pet's familiar routine to reduce stress. I follow their regular feeding, walking, and play schedules and take extra care to keep their living space tidy and secure. Whether it’s administering medication, providing senior pet support, or training a new puppy, I ensure that pets feel at ease and loved while their owners are away. The goal is always to maintain a balance of comfort, safety, and fun!

About: What sets me apart is my lifelong experience with animals and the dependable, loving care I bring to every pet I meet. I grew up showing livestock, so being around animals, from dogs and cats to livestock, has always been second nature to me. That upbringing taught me responsibility, patience, and how to tune into what animals need, even when they can't say it out loud. I'm comfortable caring for dogs of all ages and temperaments, whether it's helping with puppy training, giving extra love to senior dogs, or just making sure your pup sticks to their routine while you're away. I'm also super communicative and always happy to send updates and photos. At the end of the day, I treat every dog like family, with tons of love, respect, and tail-wagging fun. I am a college student at Texas A&M and I have free time throughout the day to walk, feed, and check up on dogs. I am not allowed to have any animals in my apartment so this gives me the chance to give all of my love that I have for animals and help someone that is needing a sitter. Growing up I was around my dogs everyday. I went on walks with them, played and trained them and even took them to get pup cups. I would give pets my undivided attention when I am taking care of them and will treat them as if they were my own.

About: I have had dogs my whole life. From puppies to senior dogs with all sorts of medical needs. I have been a vet tech for 3 years. I am currently working part time at a vet clinic so I have plenty of time to come care for your pets. I also have no holiday plans and can watch your pets while you are out of town with family. I am able to come to your home and take care of your pets just how you would if you were home. Love playtimes, taking them for energizing walks, healthy treats, and following whatever rules the pet has in your home.
