About: About Me Hi, I’m Marissa, owner of Shining Light’s K9 Services! I have extensive experience caring for dogs of all breeds, ages, and temperaments—including those with aggression, reactivity, or other behavioral challenges. Over the years, I’ve worked in multiple dog hotels/doggy daycares, in pet grooming, and as a freelance trainer, giving me a well-rounded understanding of canine care and behavior. I specialize in creating a safe, structured, and comfortable environment for every dog I work with. I run my own business, Shining Light’s K9 Services, from home, so caring for dogs is part of my daily routine from morning to night. I structure my day around feeding schedules, walks, playtime, training sessions, and any special care each pet needs. Because this is my full-time work, I have the flexibility to give your pet consistent attention, exercise, and companionship throughout the day. Your pet’s safety and comfort always come first. In my home, I offer multiple sleeping options so your dog feels at ease—whether that’s a cozy crate, a comfy dog bed in my living room, or even in my bedroom if that’s what they’re used to. I maintain a clean, secure environment, with constant supervision and safe spaces for rest or play. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow your instructions exactly to keep their routine consistent and stress-free. I make sure food, water, and medications are given on schedule, and I always take time for walks, play, and affection. Whether at my home or yours, my goal is to ensure your pet feels safe, happy, and loved while you’re away.

While sitting, I read, reflect, or study, but their comfort always comes first. I care for pets in the comfort of their own home, where their routines, scents, and surroundings bring them calm. I ask detailed questions ahead of time (walk schedule, feeding preferences, medication, etc.) and follow your instructions to the letter. My care style is clean, respectful, and rooted in trust. I adapt to each animal's rhythm and always check in if something feels off. Your home is your sanctuary, and I treat it with the same care I give to your pet.

About: I have worked with dogs of all ages from newborn to elderly. I have 15+ years of experience working specifically with Dachshunds, terriers of various breeds, and chihuahuas. I also have lots of experience working with many other breeds as well. Some examples include Germans Shepherd, Australian Shepherd, Great Piramese, Havanese, Pomeranian, Lasa Aspa, and Husky. I work part time as a courier for UberEats. So, I am able to make my own schedule whatever it needs to look like for me to give 110% of my time to the pets that I'll be sitting. I'm available all-day Monday-Sunday 24/7. :) I will only be sitting pets at the clients home. I will take instruction on caring for the pet(s) very close to heart and follow all direction as best as I can. For me, I am not just looking after a dog or cat. I am looking after a family member.

About: I have been taking care of pets since I was little and I currently have 2 cats that I have been caring for the past 8 years now and a puppy that belongs to my sister that I look after a lot to help her out sometimes when she’s working and so I think that I’m definitely a great person to rely on for these kinds of things. I’m currently working part time as I am a third year college student who’s major is fine and applied arts and goes to school currently but can take care of your pets anytime of the day all week including weekends and holidays. I care for them by having a feeding schedule for them, cleaning up after them, bathing them, taking them on walks and just playing with them through out the day.

About: I’ve taken care of dog around me for about my whole life. Different types of dogs as well always been surrounded by them growing up no a thing or two about them. And love watching them and playing with them. I’m currently not working right now so I’m available at all time times throughout the week. So My schedule is pretty flexible and durable right now. I have a fenced yard. I do have a guinea pig, but she is caged up and no other pets. Will do daily check ups check in with the owner.

I'm very organized when it comes to routines, so I can follow whatever your pet may need during drop ins. I'm comfortable administering medications, and familiar with normal vital signs and possible signs of ailments along with basic wound care! I also have good connections in the vet community in case of emergencies. I'm calm, firm, and attentive to each pets personalities and body language. I am a firm believer in leaving your home the same or better than I found it!

About: I've taken care of puppies, older dogs, and everything in between! Love running, walking, and live in a great area to do so! Your pet's happiness is my top priority. I am a therapist who is remote most days and in the office on Tuesday and Thursdays, but not for the whole day. I can also bring your pet into the office depending on temperament and comfortability! Very flexible schedule with lots of time to give to your sweet pup! In your home I will follow your instructions and preference for your pet and do the same in my home as well. Can crate train your dog if you prefer, they can also have free range of the house as well.

About: I have grown up with dogs for many years and I am now a dog groomer in training. Making dogs happy and comfortable has become my passion in life. I currently work part time at a small dog grooming shop. I can watch your precious pups on Sundays and Mondays all day, and hopefully will have more spots open soon. I do not offer boarding at my house for my own pets and yours safety, but I’d love to care for your pet in the place they are most comfortable in!

About: I’ve taken care of dogs ever since my first family pet. There’s been other dogs that I’ve interacted with and taken care of in midst of doing a favor for a certain relative or other family member. I believe the one thing that may stand out from myself would involve the caring nature and admiration that I have for dogs in general. That energy so to speak can be sensed as a source welcomeness for other dogs. Pet care fits into my weekly routine typically on later part of each individual day. Certain days that would be available are Tuesday's, Thursday’s and Sundays at around 4-5 o’clock. I care for my pets at home through always putting affection first. I can gurantee that my pets are always loved and appreciated, and I believe that relationship goes both ways. My pets have been there for me numerous times, and for that I will always be grateful.

About: Hi! My name is Sherleen and I love dogs and have always grown up with them. I had a childhood chihuahua that I took care of for over 15 years. I now have a malte poo and a pug that I’ve been raising for over 11 years since before they could be weaned from their mom. You can imagine the nights waking up to feed them like human babies! I’ve picked up doggie accidents that seemed like natural disasters and have groomed and bathed my dogs since having them. I’ve cared for dogs from shelters who have trust issues around humans, dogs with behavioral issues and health issues. This includes giving them routine medication around the clock, dedicating time to gaining trust, or as simple as them needing help cleaning themselves after using the restroom. I own 2 Brachycephalic dogs so I also understand the attention those breeds require. Personally, my pug is allergic to fleas and ticks so my house and yard are flea and tick free for her safety! I am a college student who’s doing classes in person on the mornings and can 100% dedicate attention and care. Please message me if you need me during a day I don’t have “available”!!! I’m also really available during holidays! I can do special requests and update my calendar for you (M,Th, 11:30 pm- 6pm) (T, 1:30 and ongoing) (W, 12:30 - 6pm) Just message me and I’ll work something out for your situation! Pets are our babies and deserve nothing less! I currently work with students as an orchestra tutor and a coach working with students ranging of ages. I work around schedules for students and I can do the same for people needing pet sitting! I As a school district worker I am required to do background checks and fingerprints to be a teacher, I understand having a stranger take care of your dog can be stressful but with this knowledge I hope I can ease some of your minds. As a dog owner it’s only essential to give your dog attention, interaction and above all, patience. Dogs like playing, walking or just chilling with their owners and those things vary between dogs! Some have way more energy than other dogs and it’s important to know what they need especially since they can’t talk for themselves. In my household I have a yard that my dogs stay outside for the majority of the day. When bringing in new dogs, I will keep your dog/s indoors and take care of their needs at all times with me so in the case they’re not used to other pups I have a barrier.

About: I have two cats. One is named Tiger—she’s an American Shorthair who used to be very aggressive and feisty. I’ve been very patient with her, and now she’s a cute little fur ball who loves sleeping next to me. My second cat, Kupo, is a 2-year-old Ragdoll. She has a great personality but loves to destroy my curtains and blinds. With my experience handling both a feisty cat and a mischievous one, I’m confident I can take good care of your cat as well. I am available in Alhambra area all weekdays noon and after 6pm. Will be available in Ontario area 7pm- 10pm all weekdays and 9am-9pm both weekends. I will feed your cats, clean the litter boxes, get fresh water and send you pictures or videos. If you have any other instructions I will follow.

I love having pets as part of my day and genuinely enjoy spending time with them, whether that’s going for walks, playing, or simply keeping them company. I have a fenced yard where pets can safely enjoy some fresh air and playtime, and I live close to a dog park for extra walks and adventures. I also have a friendly dog who loves having furry friends around.
