We had to leave her with them as we had a funeral to attend out of state and found David’s profile last minute on Rover. We immediately felt at ease from the profile and were relieved to know he was available to watch our furbaby on the dates we requested. The meet and greet went well and we felt comfortable with leaving our dog with them as they were very friendly and loving to the dogs they own and that made our dog quickly feel comfortable as well. During our time away we received several daily updates and photos/videos of our dog and it really made our trip much easier knowing she was in good hands and doing well. About: I have a love and passion for pets! A weakness in my heart, I have always taken care of animals having so many in my life. From pet sitting my friends, family members, and even taking care of my own when I got my first ever dog at six years old- my baby BooBoo (a terrier mix). I have a passion for all animals even our little snake and reptile friends. I know it is very anxiety-inducing when leaving a pet to a stranger, but I still have a hard time letting my dog be watched by my friends! So I know it's a process for both the owner and the pet. About: What sets me apart from other sitters is that, I have an infinite amount of patience with pets, I often come off overly professional as far as training within the skills I have, lastly, why dog, puppy, cat, or kitten doesn’t need more love in their life? As a fellow dog owner I love helping others feel at ease while away and confident that their little ones are in good hands. We currently own a Boston terrier and Swiss Shepherd, both are as sweet as pie and get along with any pup. During their stay, your pup will get plenty of exercise and TLC. I love puppy cuddles and spoiling fur babies. We have plenty of toys and room to play so your little ones will be comfortable and happy. I look forward to meeting you! I work from home and have a very flexible schedule to easily fit doggy care into my routine. I am a long time dog sitter/walker love taking care of animals. I have a fenced backyard to keep your pup safe. We typically visit the dog park if it’s open or go for a 1-1.5 hour walk, depending on your pup’s energy level. I have a crate available, dog beds, doggy gate, and a doggy door for all dog sizes. I only provide treats if given permission, otherwise I will adhere to any diet restrictions.
About: My family has run a dog grooming business my whole life so We usually offer dog boarding to clients so I thought I’d use rover as well. We have five dogs and a cat so pet care is part of our everyday life it’s honestly not much of a hassle to add an extra bowl/ take out an extra animal when you’re already doing it. We let the animals run free in the backyard since it’s fenced in and leave the back door open and dining area floor clean since we have puppies, with the rest of the house fenced off by a baby gate. Then at night all of our animals sleep in kennels. Personally I don’t trust new animals to not run away from me and keep the leash on for potty breaks in any environment besides our fenced in backyard. I also take them out plenty and play with them of course and to run around. If our animals don’t get along at first I’ll let them out in turns and keeping them separated is not a problem at my house since we have a reserved area for boarding in a different room from the house where our animals kennels are to sleep.
About: I’ve taken care of other people’s pets, mostly dogs and cats, since I was young. Family and friends would go on long trips or short weekend vacations and I would feed, play, and walk their fur babies. I also had a dog of my own, a pembrook welsh corgi, and took care of him for many years.
