“Kristen came through last minute and really went above and beyond taking care of our Lucy. She was on time and followed all of the instructions for our senior dog. She didn’t just walk her, she also spent lots of quality time with her as well. Can’t thank her enough.”

“Perrie always takes such good care of my boy! Most times I come to her very last minute with dog walking requests and if she’s available she always takes him, and I appreciate that so much. I have a busy and sometimes unexpected schedule so last minute help is needed for me. She is always very sweet and accommodating and follows any instructions I give her to the T. Thank you Perrie!”

“Jill came through with a last minute request… she not only walked our pup but also made sure he was fed, hydrated, and was mindful to keep the walk in the cool shade due to the afternoon heat! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable and thoughtful sitter/walker.”

“I have been using Ross to walk my dogs and take care of them for several months. He is so incredible. It is such a relief to have such an amazing person to help when I travel or have to work late. I highly recommend him. he really loves animals and it shows.”

“Jessica has walked my fur baby a few times now and she’s always great! She sends lots of pictures and updates during the walks, which I really appreciate. She’s super flexible with last-minute changes and always so nice to work with. My dog absolutely loves her—I always know he’s in good hands. Highly recommend Jessica!”

“Ariel walked our dog Orson everyday for two weeks when we were on vacation and him with my mom. Ariel was amazing and very kind and patient. Orson was shy in the beginning and she was very patient and kind with him and by the second week he was so excited everytime she came over for the walks. She was also always very punctual and reliable. Will definitely call her again for dog walking next time we are out of town.”

“Doobie has a great time with Lamar! She is getting older, and a bit slower, but she still looks forward to her walks with Lamar! After a couple years or more of walking with him, she loves him like family.”

About: I have two cats. One is named Tiger—she’s an American Shorthair who used to be very aggressive and feisty. I’ve been very patient with her, and now she’s a cute little fur ball who loves sleeping next to me. My second cat, Kupo, is a 2-year-old Ragdoll. She has a great personality but loves to destroy my curtains and blinds. With my experience handling both a feisty cat and a mischievous one, I’m confident I can take good care of your cat as well. I am available in Alhambra area all weekdays noon and after 6pm. Will be available in Ontario area 7pm- 10pm all weekdays and 9am-9pm both weekends. I will feed your cats, clean the litter boxes, get fresh water and send you pictures or videos. If you have any other instructions I will follow.
About: My dog of 10 years just recently passed away. He needed a lot of help in his old age, so I have a lot of experience with senior dogs. I lived in a house with 8 dogs, all of different ages and shapes and I love them all! Your pet will get TONS of love from me and my kids, and will simultaneously fill a void my old boy has left. I am a stay at home mom, my daughter is in school but my son is home with me. We are very active and love to go on walks but can also snuggle on the couch if your pet prefers that, too! I can walk your dog as little or as often as is preferred. In our home, we have a downstairs area where the pet is free to roam. We also have a private back patio for your pet to enjoy some outside time. We will take walks in our neighborhood, where we also have a small dog park. And your pet will be loved as if it was ours. Especially by my kiddos, they are animal lovers through and through, like me! Your sweet baby is welcome on the couch and the bed, whatever he/she prefers. I can also make a bed on the floor if necessary. I will treat your baby the way I would want mine treated while they are away from me.

“Mia is amazing with my fur family! She’s very detail oriented and treats my babies like her own. I never have to worry because she’s very responsive and she always sends me updates! I’d highly recommend Mia for anyone interested.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
