“I cannot express how grateful we are to have found Jake! We were unexpectedly put in a very stressful situation when our longtime dog sitter became unavailable one week into our two week trip. We were facing the possibility of having to cancel the remainder of our plans and return home. In over 15 years of having multiple dogs, I have ALWAYS done a meet and greet and spent considerable time walking a new sitter through our home, routines, and VERY specific instructions. We don't have just one or two dogs. We have a six pack, each with very different personalities, routines, and needs! I have always chosen female dog sitters, simply because I assumed that was the most comfortable fit for our household and dogs. Well, Jake has now changed my perspective on that. About: Caring for animals has always been something that comes naturally to me. I’ve spent years around dogs and other pets, helping friends, family, and neighbors with walking, feeding, playtime, and overnight care. I’m comfortable working with dogs and any animal of different sizes, ages, and temperaments, from energetic puppies that need lots of exercise to older dogs that prefer slower walks and extra care. I always focus on creating a calm, safe, and positive environment so pets feel comfortable and secure while their owners are away. Currently work part time at nights and weekends predominantly so I have morning/daytime availablility during the week while you are at work! Can also do overnights any day of the week. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and I take that responsibility very seriously. I always follow each pet’s routine, care instructions, and any special needs provided by the owner to make sure they feel secure and well cared for. I maintain a calm, clean, and safe environment where pets can relax and feel at home. Whether it’s during a walk, a drop in visit, or extended care, I always keep a close eye on pets and make sure they are safe, comfortable, and happy at all times. I’m attentive to behavior, body language, and any changes in mood or energy so I can respond quickly if something seems off. I also make sure pets have fresh water, proper feeding, plenty of exercise or playtime, and lots of affection. About: My friends and family call me Tom Care-a-lot, Tom the Mom, and The Dog Whisperer. I am often told I am too nice, but sometimes kindness and patience can be what someone needs to be a good caregiver. I have worked at East Memphis Pet Hospital & Resort as a Daycare and Kennel worker, and occasionally perform Vet Tech duties such as administering medication, which has taught me a lot about caring for multiple dogs and adapting to each dogs' individual needs. I have also worked for GoDog West Nashville and Morris Animal Inn. To be responsible for another life sometimes means that you have to be flexible, I understand if something comes up last minute, it happens; I will be as flexible as you and your dogs' needs. Your dog will be in good-hearted, caring hands while you are doing what you need to do. Your dogs and their home will be safe, you can leave it to me. I will respond to booking requests with 12-24 hours if not immediately. If something doesn’t work in my schedule I will let you know ahead of time unless there is an emergency. I work Freelance from home (remote), so my hours are flexible. I have obligations with other people and clients but I will make any booking done through the app, if they are accepted and scheduled. Failure to contact about a booking before service will result in a cancellation and YOU will be charged a cancellation fee and will take all responsibility for your pet(s). I treat them with respect, I will not hit or discipline them physically, if you instruct me to do so I will decline and cancel the stay or appointment. I do not tolerate abuse or neglect. I will clean up if they have an accident and my motto is to “leave the house roughly in the same state you came/found it in”. I will use your amenities like washer/dryer/sink/shower/dishwasher if I am staying multiple days or overnight. I will do my best to clean up after myself but I cannot conform to all expectations of perfection. Make sure there are no illegal drugs or weapons in the residence (weapons must be away and sealed in a secure location, if any are in the residence) failure to comply with this will result in an immediate cancellation and it will be on YOU.

About: I've always loved animals and used to volunteer at an animal shelter when I was younger. I also got my first dog 10 years ago--she is my best friend and I love her more than anything :) I'm responsible for grooming, feeding, and walking her, plus regular check ups to make sure she's healthy. My favorite thing to do though is playing with her and cuddling! In regard to my schedule, I am currently working full time from 9-5pm, Monday through Friday. Any other times outside of that window I am available! I am also going on vacation from August 8 to August 15. Since I am a pet owner myself, I am able to take care of your pet(s) in any way needed. I am able to understand different personalities and needs among various animals and adjust accordingly!

About: I have worked at the pet shop in town for almost 5 years. I have learned a lot about nutrition and am here to help with that as well. I have always loved dogs & animals. I have 3 dogs now and use to have cats growing up. I have always helped family/ friends with their pets. My cousins would call me “ the dog whisperer” I am very patient and understanding- a dog sometimes is anxious just like us humans. I think taking time out of the day and using interactive toys is so important for stimulation and keeping them busy. I usually am off on sunday & wednesday. I typically work in the morning until 3pm. Can do walks/feed them/ check in’s on the dogs after work. I have lots of grass outside & a gate inside.I would play with them outside, make sure they have a harness and a longer line ( so they are safe)& take them for walks. I can brush the dogs as well. I do prefer to stop at the clients house. I have 2 dogs at my house - it can be a lot. In the clients house I would first make sure the dog goes outside to the bathroom upon arrival. I would take them for a walk, play with the dogs outside( depending on the gate situation) Make sure they have lots of water, food & i can brush them.

About: I’ve grown up with Beagles and work well with all breeds and ages. I strongly believe that every dog deserves a day out on the town (or maybe just a walk around it). I’m free most weekends and various times during the day. I can do early mornings or late nights, happy to spend time with any dog throughout the day. I knock and ring the doorbell always first, just so the dogs know I’m coming (if they don’t already), walk in, greet everyone and wish the dogs a good morning, feed and water them, then let them have their breakfast and take them on a walk afterwards, always making sure to clean up after them when I first get there and definitely before I leave.

About: I have been a veterinary technician for the last 19 years. I have spent the majority of that time working at a small animal practice, but also worked at an emergency and specialty practice for 4 years during that time as well. During my career, I have dealt with numerous c-sections, geriatric, diabetic, and renal patients. Meaning that, injections, SQ fluid, oral meds, etc, are not a problem.. I have also done pet sitting on the side for many years during this time as well. I have always had a love for animals. I currently own a 9 year old mixed breed dog, as well as a cat, and chinchilla. I have had many pocket pets over the years as well. I currently work full time, overnights only, on the front end of the week. I plan accordingly, to make sure the pets needs are met before and after work shift, and spoil them extra on the days I’m off. I adjust to whatever needs the pet requires, and make our schedules work in sync so that there are no issues with bathroom breaks, or feeding/medications.
