About: Caring for animals has always been something that comes naturally to me. I’ve spent years around dogs and other pets, helping friends, family, and neighbors with walking, feeding, playtime, and overnight care. I’m comfortable working with dogs and any animal of different sizes, ages, and temperaments, from energetic puppies that need lots of exercise to older dogs that prefer slower walks and extra care. I always focus on creating a calm, safe, and positive environment so pets feel comfortable and secure while their owners are away. Currently work part time at nights and weekends predominantly so I have morning/daytime availablility during the week while you are at work! Can also do overnights any day of the week. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and I take that responsibility very seriously. I always follow each pet’s routine, care instructions, and any special needs provided by the owner to make sure they feel secure and well cared for. I maintain a calm, clean, and safe environment where pets can relax and feel at home. Whether it’s during a walk, a drop in visit, or extended care, I always keep a close eye on pets and make sure they are safe, comfortable, and happy at all times. I’m attentive to behavior, body language, and any changes in mood or energy so I can respond quickly if something seems off. I also make sure pets have fresh water, proper feeding, plenty of exercise or playtime, and lots of affection. Communication is very important to me, so I provide updates, photos, and messages to keep owners informed and reassured while they’re away. My goal is to create a safe, trustworthy experience where both pets and their owners feel completely at ease.

About: Over the past few years I've built hands-on experience caring for dogs in multiple settings. I spent two summers at Camp Bow Wow, where I supervised playgroups of up to 25 dogs and handled daily care tasks such as feeding, administering medications, cleaning play yards and giving baths. I have also volunteered at many animal shelters where I walked dogs, fed them, cleaned kennels and assisted with training playdates. Additionally, through my sorority I support the Boulder Guide Dogs for the Blind by fundraising, baking treats, puppy-sitting, and socialising puppies to teach them good manners and prepare them for formal training. As a college student, my class schedule is flexible (giving me plenty of free time throughout the day to walk, play with, and care for your dog!) I am super easy to reach via the Rover app or text, and last minute bookings are no problem. I am open to midday walks, evening check-ins or an overnight stay on short notice, and can adjust my schedule to meet your needs! I miss my own dog back home so much, so caring for your pet isn't just a job, it's a way to fill that gap. I treat every dog as if they're my own, ensuring plenty of exercise, playtime, and affection. My experience caring for my dog (as well as 2 dogs and many foster dogs before her) have taught me to be patient, responsible and attentive to every dog's unique needs.

I’ve had a great experience with Ronit so far! She came to our house for an initial meet and greet so she could get to know Rooney and make sure it was a good fit. Rooney can be a little territorial with new people in the house, and I really appreciated how calm and patient she was with him. She let him investigate her and get comfortable before trying to interact with him and never rushed him. When she came back for his first walk the following week, everything went great! She said Rooney was a very good boy, and he seems to have accepted her already. 😊 It gives me a lot of peace of mind knowing he’s with someone who understands dogs and took the time to earn his trust. I’m very happy we found Ronit and would definitely recommend her!

Robert was great with Lacy! He was communicative, reliable, and incredibly attentive throughout both visits. He sent updates and photos, took great care of her, and even went above and beyond when she had an upset stomach and an accident in her crate. It gave us a lot of peace of mind knowing she was in good hands while we were away. Lacy clearly enjoyed her time with him, and we’d happily book Robert again!

Jake helped us with mid-day visits for our dog while we were away. He made sure she got outside for playtime (even in the rain), had fresh water afterward, and was settled back in before leaving. He was very friendly and responsive, and our cat enjoyed a little attention from him too, which was appreciated! We were grateful to have Jake's kind care this past week.

About: I have been caring for dogs and cats for 7 years for family, friends, and clients, and I absolutely love making sure pets feel safe, happy, and loved while their owners are away. I currently work as a gym manager, which allows me flexibility throughout the day since I typically start work later in the morning. I am also able to step away during the day for walks, check-ins, feeding, and quality time with your pets. I understand how important it is to have someone you trust caring for your furry family members. In addition to making sure pets are happy and well cared for, I always treat every home with the same respect and cleanliness I would expect in my own space. I have experience with both dogs and cats, and I personally have 2 cats, 1 dog, and a bearded dragon. Caring for animals has always been something I genuinely enjoy, and my goal is always to make sure your pets feel comfortable, loved, and cared for while you’re away! Pet care fits very well into my daily and weekly routine. I currently work as a gym manager Monday through Friday, and my schedule typically starts between 10 AM and 12 PM. Because of my later start time, I am available in the mornings for walks, feedings, and check-ins. I am also able to step away during my lunch break to check on pets, let them out, or spend some quality time with them. I have flexibility throughout the week, and I am available on weekends as well. I always prioritize making pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in their own environment. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), and any specific instructions they provide. I also make sure to be respectful of their home by keeping things clean and treating their space with care. I understand that every pet has a different personality and needs, so I take the time to get to know each animal and provide them with the attention, affection, and exercise they need. My goal is to make pets feel comfortable while giving owners peace of mind knowing their animals and home are being well taken care of. At this time, I primarily offer care in the client’s home, including drop-in visits, walks, and check-ins.

About: With over 10 years of hands-on pet care experience, I’ve worked with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments. My expertise goes beyond simple walks. I have extensive experience caring for pups to senior dogs, ensuring they receive the gentle, tailored care they need, including administering medications, managing mobility issues, and providing lots of comfort. What sets me apart is my deep passion for animals and my commitment to making every pet feel safe, happy, and at home—even when their owners are away. I take time to understand each dog’s unique personality, routine, and preferences, offering personalized care that fits their needs. Whether it's energetic playtime, calm cuddle sessions, or specialized care, I treat every pet as if they were my own. As a part-time aviation student and food service professional, I have developed excellent time management skills, allowing me to balance my passion for pet care alongside my studies and work commitments. My flexible schedule allows me to provide consistent and reliable care for pets, fitting walks, sitting, and boarding around my other responsibilities. This means your pets will always get the attention they need, even during my busiest days. Safety, trust, and a comfortable environment are my top priorities when caring for pets, whether in my home or my client's home. When caring for pets in my client’s home, I take extra care to respect their space and follow all provided instructions, ensuring their pet’s routine remains as consistent as possible. I keep an open line of communication with regular updates and photos, so owners always know how their pets are doing. I also prioritize trust by getting to know each pet before care begins, discussing their specific needs, routines, and any special concerns. Whether it’s ensuring doors and gates are securely closed, or knowing the signs of stress in animals, I go the extra mile to provide a safe, loving, and trustworthy environment for every pet in my care.

About: My friends and family call me Tom Care-a-lot, Tom the Mom, and The Dog Whisperer. I am often told I am too nice, but sometimes kindness and patience can be what someone needs to be a good caregiver. I have worked at East Memphis Pet Hospital & Resort as a Daycare and Kennel worker, and occasionally perform Vet Tech duties such as administering medication, which has taught me a lot about caring for multiple dogs and adapting to each dogs' individual needs. I have also worked for GoDog West Nashville and Morris Animal Inn. To be responsible for another life sometimes means that you have to be flexible, I understand if something comes up last minute, it happens; I will be as flexible as you and your dogs' needs. Your dog will be in good-hearted, caring hands while you are doing what you need to do. Your dogs and their home will be safe, you can leave it to me. I will respond to booking requests with 12-24 hours if not immediately. If something doesn’t work in my schedule I will let you know ahead of time unless there is an emergency. I work Freelance from home (remote), so my hours are flexible. I have obligations with other people and clients but I will make any booking done through the app, if they are accepted and scheduled. Failure to contact about a booking before service will result in a cancellation and YOU will be charged a cancellation fee and will take all responsibility for your pet(s). I treat them with respect, I will not hit or discipline them physically, if you instruct me to do so I will decline and cancel the stay or appointment. I do not tolerate abuse or neglect. I will clean up if they have an accident and my motto is to “leave the house roughly in the same state you came/found it in”. I will use your amenities like washer/dryer/sink/shower/dishwasher if I am staying multiple days or overnight. I will do my best to clean up after myself but I cannot conform to all expectations of perfection. Make sure there are no illegal drugs or weapons in the residence (weapons must be away and sealed in a secure location, if any are in the residence) failure to comply with this will result in an immediate cancellation and it will be on YOU.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
