About: Hi! I’m a dependable, caring animal lover who genuinely enjoys spending time with pets of all kinds. While I’m newer to professional pet sitting, I’ve always loved being around animals and understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family members. I’m available for both house sitting and pet sitting. Im located on the east side of Big island and am flexible with traveling. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, quiet companionship, or sticking to a consistent routine, I’m happy to adapt to their individual needs and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I know how much trust it takes to leave your home and pets in someone else’s hands, and I take that responsibility seriously. My goal is to provide reliable, attentive care so you can enjoy your time away with peace of mind. I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your pets! If you have any questions or concerns please reach out Corinne Pet care fits naturally into my routine. I work part time as a driver, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to travel to care for pets when needed. I’m able to adjust my day around feeding times, walks, playtime, and giving pets the attention and companionship they deserve. Whether it’s stopping by for visits or staying overnight, I’m committed to making sure your pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. I don’t currently have pets of my own because I rent, so my focus is on caring for pets in their own homes where they’re most comfortable. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications if needed, and any special instructions. I also make sure to keep your home clean and secure while you’re away. My goal is to provide loving, dependable care and help your pets feel safe, happy, and relaxed until you return.
“Dianne was awesome! Our dogs were well taken care of and she sent pictures/updates of how they were doing. Of course there was a bad Kona wind/rain storm brewing as we left for Honolulu but she was a champ and said I got this. Our dogs were stuck inside most of the time and she just simply loved them up and gave them so much attention they aren’t going to like us anymore! Will definitely use Dianne again…she’s great!”

“We could tell immediately when we got home that our dog and cat were relaxed and happy after Cathy took care of them for several days. Our cat can be pretty aloof at times, so it was great to see him acting like his normal self when we returned.”

About: I’ve taken care of cats, dogs, bunnies of my own and just being with them is my passion! I would love to be able to take care of your pets. I am trying to find a job for some extra cash for college. You can contact me any time and I will most likely be free! I’m very flexible and loving when it comets to animals. As long as you have directions I’m sure I will be able to take care of your animal!
“Another perfect experience! He takes such great care of our (sometimes challenging) dogs as well as our home. We really now feel we are able to travel and know that our home and pets are in great hands. Will absolutely book again and again!”

“Daisy is a reliable, thoughtful and caring petsitter. She listened very well to our needs for our dog and outdoor cats. She went above and beyond our expectations, taking our dog out for more than just walks but fun car rides and adventures. She even asked if we had a seatbelt for him, and when we didn't have it at the house for her, she went and bought one "to have for next time." We really appreciate how Daisy is proactive in her job, she isn't afraid to ask questions about anything our dog may need. She communicated throughout her stay and sent photos which always made us feel reassured. Through our talks with Daisy, we learned what an animal lover she is. My husband and I highly recommend Daisy for petsitting any animal, and for housesitting. We will definitely call on her again!”

“EXCELLENT SITTER! Jody was incredibly professional. She sent regular photo updates of my dog, Nohi, enjoying himself and looking so happy with her. She did an excellent job caring for my dog and went above and beyond the call of duty. I would highly recommend her and I will DEFINITELY be hiring her again next time I travel! Mahalo JoJo!!”

About: Before moving to Hawai'i, I created a small house sitting, animal care & lawn care company where I would bundle out services. Home owners were always happy and the animals were too, hence why they always booked me and recommended me to their friends and family which I always appreciated. You can be sure that your animals are taken care of, exercised and cuddled. I always try to send pics and updates so you don’t miss your fur babies too much! I always try to leave your house nicer than I found it as a way to ensure you know it was taken care of. I also am experienced with bottle feeding, horses, homestead caretaking, diabetic animals and elderly animal care. Let’s talk story and see if we are a good fit :) Im currently a full time grad student for counseling which means I have the ability to be home with pets on Tues/Thurs and would have some flexibility MWF for midday check ins or walks. As a counselor in training, my schedule can change last minute with clients cancelling or needing to reschedule on MWF which can benefit your furry friends! Lets talk story to see if we are a good match :) I currently live in a shared space in Hilo without a fenced yard so my services would need to be restricted to caring for your pets at your house unless it is a smaller well behaved animal for a night or two. I will always leave your house the way I found it (if not nicer). If you would like to bundle services for landscaping or house cleaning, please let me know and we can talk story!
“Kristen was very professional, kind, compassionate and attentive towards my fur babies and especially my dog, Baby Gurl! She gifted the doggo a sniffing mat which was so thoughtful and had her own air tag for tracking! My dog fell sick the night before I was leaving and I wasn’t sure what to do. I found some home remedies for her cough and Kristen administered the medicine and found ways to care for my dog that weren’t the usual. She was back in her feet in 24 hours and was able to take her on walks again! She sent me videos throughout the duration and I was so happy to see my fur babies while I was away. She put me at ease and went above and beyond! Thank you 🙏Kristen!! Baby Gurl is grateful too !”

“Spencer took great care of our pups! He’s got great warm energy that put both of our dogs at ease right away and seemed happy and relaxed when we got back. He asked great questions and was attentive to all the nuances between the dogs/for our senior dog. He was communicative and sent us photos which is always nice when we are away. He took good care of the house, too!”

“Kai made our stay away a lot less stressful. He sent some awesome pics of our dog getting hugged and spoiled...just what we hoped for! Looking forward to having Kai stay again in the future!!”
About: I absolutely love animals and especially dogs. I feel like there is no other genuine creature on earth like them. They have a big heart and love their human more than themselves. Taking care of a doggie it will be more a pleasure then a business. I love long walkes, play dates or just chilling. Shoot me a text with any questions 🦮 I currently work just mornings so I’m available daily after 4pm, Monday to Friday and in the weekends I am available most of the time . In the house I live in there are two big dogs ( not mine though). One of them is super friendly but the second one is not that good with other dogs. This is the reason why I would prefer pet sit in the customers house or just go out for walkes and play time.
About: Aloha: My experience goes back to my childhood, where I helped my mother breed and raise Cocker Spaniel puppies. I have always owned animals, including cats during my college years, and our family has cared for goats, dogs, chickens, and rabbits. I am very comfortable with puppies and experienced in fostering their training process, committing to the consistency necessary for a dog's development. Furthermore, I have experience caring for elderly animals at the end of their life cycles, including administering medicine and providing extra care. I have also attended to animals with various injuries. My primary strength is maintaining consistent routines, which I believe is essential for helping an animal feel loved and safe. Regarding equine experience, I have basic ground work skills with horses and donkeys. As my children have been riding since age three, I have had many opportunities to groom, feed, clean hooves, and ensure there are no external injuries from the ground. I appreciate your time and consideration. Aloha: Our ohana owns a 3-acre property on the Big Island, where we are blessed with three outdoor rescue cats, three rescue dogs, and two Nubian goats. As a dedicated mother and wife, caretaking is truly my blueprint. Caring for animals and providing house-sitting services for a "staycation" fits perfectly with my passion for animals. It also provides me with a wonderful opportunity to take some time for myself to relax and rejuvenate. I love to excercise walking dogs is my joy. I love to nurture and cuddle animals . I am a mama of 2o yrs thus I am always detail oriented regarding health. Our ohana is currently blessed with three rescue female dogs, three female outdoor rescue cats, and two Nubian goats. As they are a vital part of our family, they receive a high level of love and nurturing daily. My responsibilities and experience in caring for them include: - Daily Care: Managing daily feeding schedules and ensuring all animals are well-nourished. - Exercise and Training: Taking the dogs on regular walks around the neighborhood and maintaining up-to-date training. I have also personally trained our puppies. - Health and Wellness: Regularly checking all animals for health irregularities, administering natural medications when necessary, and staying current on goat vaccinations. - Goat Management: Grooming the goats, cleaning the barn, and providing them with nutrient-rich supplements. We take great pride in providing a healthy and loving environment for all our rescues. Please let me know if you need any further information.
About: Animals have always naturally gravitated toward me, and caring for dogs has never felt like “work” to me I genuinely love it. I’ve helped watch and care for dogs for family and friends many times over the years, and I’m the type of person who pays close attention to their energy, comfort, and routines. I know every dog is different and I’m very patient with shy, anxious, high-energy, or affectionate dogs alike. I am very intuitive with their needs and and some people even call me a “dog whisperer”, because of how in tune I am. I love spending quality time with them, whether that’s going on walks, playing outside, relaxing together, or simply making sure they feel safe and cared for while their owner is away. I also understand how important updates and communication are when someone trusts you with their pet, so I always aim to be dependable, attentive, and caring. I currently work as an online life coach, which gives me a very flexible schedule and allows me to be available throughout the day for pet care, walks, check-ins, overnight stays, and quality time with your dog. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals so I’m able to give them lots of attention, companionship, and care rather than leaving them alone for long periods. My schedule is very open and flexible, and I’m happy to work with your pet’s routine and needs. I always want pets to feel safe, calm, and comfortable while in my care. I pay close attention to each dog’s personality, energy level, and routine so they can feel as relaxed and at home as possible. I’m very patient and attentive, and I make sure pets have plenty of love, supervision, playtime, water, potty breaks, and a peaceful environment. I also understand how important trust and communication are when someone is caring for your pet, so I always aim to provide updates, photos, and dependable care so owners can feel fully at ease while they’re away.🐶❤️ I’m also a very clean and hygienic person and I always treat people’s homes with respect and care. I genuinely like keeping spaces tidy, and I aim to leave your home just as clean or even cleaner than I found it.
“I cannot recommend Brian and Katalin enough! They are such wonderful sitters and kind people. We were away for 5 days and left detailed instructions. Not only did they follow them to a T, they also provided us with daily updates on our home and animals. The house was immaculate when we returned, which made transitioning back after travel so easy, and our pups and chickens were healthy and happy! This was our first Rover experience and we could not have asked for more. Will definitely be booking with B&K again! Thank you both for such a wonderful time. Marty and Cloud send their love and gratitude!”

“Brittany was an incredible house and dog sitter. Although she has not utilized River long, she has been pet sitting for a long time. During the orientation and meet’s greet, she asked all the right questions. She wanted to know details of our dog’s typical routines and daily flow. She asked to see how Nelson’s harness worked and as well as how he likes to receive his eye drops. When we returned, the house was impeccably clean. She only asked a few clarifying questions while we were away but was sure to send daily pictures and videos of the dogs. Lastly, we truly appreciated the way she washed and cleaning all the bedding and towels, which was not expected. Brittany was very easy to work with and we will certainly reach out to her again when we travel off island next.”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Paukaa walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Paukaa maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Paukaa choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Paukaa. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
