About: As a longtime dog owner, I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and comfort level—it is important to make pets feel safe, loved, and stress-free while you’re away. I’m love energetic dogs who need playtime and exercise, as well as older pets who need a gentler pace, patience, and close attention. I’m reliable, detail-oriented, and understand how important routines are, whether that means medication schedules, potty breaks, feeding instructions, or just extra cuddle time. Communication to the owner is also key, you can expect updates, photos, and check-ins so you always know how your furry pet is doing. My goal isn’t just to “stop by”—it’s to make sure your pet feels cared for and provide peace of mind while you’re away. 🐾 Pet care is a part of my daily routine as a pet owner, caring for pets brings me happiness and is something that I enjoy. My days include feeding, potty breaks, playtime, activity, and making sure pets are happy, secure, and getting plenty of attention. Because this brings a smile to my face, I’m very comfortable building drop-in visits around a pet’s established routine, whether that’s morning check-ins, midday potty breaks, feedings, or visits for pets who need more attention. I understand how important consistency is for pets, and I’m happy to help maintain the routine they’re used to so they feel secure and stress-free while their owners are away. 🐾 It is important to keep pets comfortable by following their normal routine as closely as possible, no matter where they or you are. That means sticking to feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), and giving them the level of attention and affection they’re used to. In a client’s home, I know pets are most comfortable in their familiar environment, so I want to make sure their routine stays consistent while also keeping the home secure and tidy. I also believe that owners should have peace of mind through communication and photos. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, cared for, and as stress-free as possible while their family is away. 🐾

I’m a teacher and home more in the summer! I’m a teacher and will be home the majority of the day during the summer! Growing up my family dog’s routine was walks twice a day, feed twice a day, and given medication. I have a fenced in yard for your dog(s) to run around, sidewalks in my neighborhood to walk, and room to crate your dog(s) if thats what they need to feel comfortable. I currently don’t have a dog so they would have all the pets and snuggles!

About: Hi! I’m Vincent, a lifelong dog lover and proud dog dad to two dogs. One is 14 and the other is 7. Caring for them every day has taught me how important consistency, patience, and attention to detail are when it comes to keeping pets happy and comfortable. I’m experienced with daily walks, feeding schedules, playtime, potty breaks, administering basic medications if needed, and making sure each dog gets the attention they deserve. I understand that every dog has their own personality and routine, and I take the time to make them feel safe and at home while you’re away. I’m dependable, organized, and treat every dog as if they were my own. You’ll receive regular photo and video updates so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, well cared for, and getting plenty of love and attention. Whether your dog loves long walks, playing fetch, or simply relaxing on the couch, I’m happy to match their routine and make their stay as stress-free as possible I work full-time during the week, but I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide reliable pet care before and after work, as well as on evenings and weekends. Caring for my own two dogs is already part of my daily routine, so adding walks, feeding, playtime, and plenty of attention for your pet fits naturally into my day. I’ll always keep you updated with photos and messages so you know your pet is happy and well cared for. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I treat every animal as if they were my own and take the time to learn their routine, feeding schedule, and any special needs before each stay. My home is clean, pet-friendly, and shared with my two friendly small dogs who are used to being around other pets. I supervise introductions carefully and never leave pets unattended in unsafe situations. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, I’ll make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, affection, and regular updates while you’re away.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Parvin
Aurora was fantastic! She walked my dogs for multiple weeks on very short notice and even took them on a route that took several minutes longer than the 30 minutes I had paid for. She was friendly and professional and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a dog walker.

Stacy was wonderful with both of my dogs. She was punctual, friendly, and very professional from start to finish. She showed genuine kindness and patience with my dogs. I was a bit nervous beforehand because one of my dogs tends to bark a lot, but Stacy handled him confidently and calmly, which immediately put me at ease. I would absolutely hire her again for future walks and would recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog walker.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
