About: Eric and Rachel share a love for their beloved Aussie-beagle Lilo and fostering rescue dogs together. We know that it is never easy to leave your beloved dog with someone new, and in a new place. As our own Lilo has struggled with separation anxiety before, we know how important it is to have a pet sitter who is present, patient, and able to cater their care towards a dog’s specific needs. Rachel has taken care of 6 different family dogs growing up, including a border collie, golden retriever, Boston terrier, 2 mixed breeds and a silky terrier. Eric has taken care of his family dog (chihuahua minpin) since birth till now (11 years old). Together, we have fostered 22 rescue dogs these past two years, ranging from a high energy Great Pyrenees to 3 Border Collie puppies all at once, to a completely afraid and anxious Beagle mama and Shiba Inu mama that are recovering from very difficult situations. We have also looked after American pit bulls, large Newfoundlands and a Rhodesian Ridgeback, and senior doggies who have hip difficulties and special diets. Our own dog is a 3.5 year old Aussie-beagle, so we particularly love the herding dogs. :) We both have lots of experience working with dogs of all kinds of temperaments and needs, especially high energy dogs who require a lot of attention and care, and administering medication to dogs who have special needs. Rachel also loves cooking her home cooked meals for her dog, and can do that for yours too, if you need! We both work from home and have all weekends free. Our flexible schedules together allows us to bring dogs regularly on walks and to look after them consistently. We follow instructions really well, and can take care of your dog according to your requirements. We allow dogs to roam and sleep freely in our home, but we can also crate your dog easily if you prefer. We know how to work with your dog with lots of gentle care and love.

About: I have years of hands on experience caring for dogs and cats through personal pet ownership, animal shelter volunteering, fostering, and pet sitting for friends and family. During my undergraduate years, I spent several years volunteering at animal shelters and fostering animals with a wide range of ages, personalities, and care needs. I've cared for young puppies, kittens, adult cats, senior dogs, and older rescues who were still learning potty-training routines. Through these experiences, I've become comfortable working with shy, nervous, and anxious animals, as well as dogs who need extra patience on walks or tend to pull on the leash. I also have experience with basic puppy training, reinforcing commands, managing potty-training accidents, and caring for multiple pets at once. I'm experienced with administering both oral and injectable medications, and I understand the importance of carefully following each pet's specific care instructions. I grew up caring for my family's pug, who lived to be 15 years old, and I currently have a sweet 4 year old rescue dog. I've also fostered and cared for multiple dogs and cats in my home, so I'm familiar with managing different personalities, energy levels, and routines. One of the biggest things fostering has taught me is that every animal is different. Some pets want to play all day, while others prefer quiet company or need a little extra time to warm up. I love getting to know each pet individually and making sure they receive the attention, patience, and affection that works best for them! I'm currently a graduate student at UW-Madison, and one of the best parts of my schedule is that my lab allows me very flexible hours! This gives me plenty of freedom throughout the week to work around your pet's routine and make sure they get the attention and care they deserve. Since I'm not tied to a traditional 9 to 5 schedule, I can make time for dog walks, drop-in visits, playtime, and overnight house sitting. Whether your pup needs a midday walk, your kitten wants some extra playtime, or your furry friend just needs someone to keep them company while you're away, I'm happy to help! I also have a 4 year old rescue dog of my own, so walks, feeding, playtime, and spending quality time with animals are already part of my everyday routine. I'm available most days and am happy to coordinate around your pet's usual schedule. I know how important consistency is for animals, especially those who are younger, older, or a little anxious, and I'll do my best to keep their routine as comfortable and familiar as possible. And of course, I'll always make time for plenty of cuddles, playtime, and pictures of your little fur babies! Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities! Through my experience volunteering at animal shelters and fostering dogs and cats, I've learned how important it is to be patient, attentive, and respectful of each animal's individual needs. I'm comfortable caring for shy or anxious pets, energetic puppies, senior animals, and pets who may need a little extra attention or reassurance. When caring for pets in your home, I do my best to keep their normal routine as consistent as possible. I'll carefully follow your instructions for feeding, walks, medications, playtime, and any special care needs. I also have experience administering oral and injectable medications and understand the importance of following the instructions provided for each pet. I live alone with my sweet 4 year old rescue dog, who gets along very well with other animals. I've also cared for multiple cats and dogs in my home before, so I understand the importance of paying attention to each pet's personality, comfort level, and boundaries. I'm mindful of keeping pets secure during walks, being attentive to their behavior, and making sure they feel comfortable in their surroundings. About: I have always had a dog my whole life and they always bring me joy to my life knowing they are there own being with their own personality I am currently working around 30-40 hours a week but all my shifts are different which makes pet sitting perfect for the different timing needs I always make sure I know what the pet is doing so they are staying safe and not hurting themselves or anything else within the house, I also make sure they are having fun and getting there energy out!

About: I've been an animal lover my entire life. I grew up with a Newfoundland, walked dogs for neighbors, cared for cats for friends who travel, and even have duck and chicken sitting experience! I'm an active and positive minded person. I'm always down for a long walk, but equally love hanging on the couch with some cute pups/cats! I'm currently working on the weekends only, so I have plenty of time during the week to hang and play with your pets during the week, or in the evening on the weekends. About: I’ve been hired by members of my community to, dog sit, walk, and accompany pups on overnight stays in the past up to 3 dogs at a time. I’m committed to caring for your pet like a member of your family! I grew up with dogs my entire life and I want to expand my personal network! Weekends free when I am in town! Expanding my dog sitting network! On quiet weekends I like take the pup(s) on neighborhood walks. Week days I work hybrid in Verona so my check in availability is limited to a close proximity to the office. With new clients I usually schedule an in person meet-up to get introduced to your pet and get to know your preferences for feeding, outdoor potty time, toys, sleeping arrangement, house sitting requests, exit and entry to your home, medications, etc. I follow written and verbal directions with care. For home check ins I will briefly check your home to make sure things are as you left them. I check your pets water supply and give them adequate snuggle or play time indoors and outdoors before leaving locking entry and exit ways.

About: I have taken care of many different types of pets for the past 4 years. From golden labs to parakeets, I love them all a lot. I currently work 8 am to 5 pm during the week, but I am available to dog or cat sit outside of those hours. I have a small dog of my own so I am definitely an animal lover! I have done house visits many times to watch dogs when their owners are out of town and I am very careful to make both the dogs and owners and happy as possible.

About: Hi! I’m currently a graduate student at UW–Madison and looking for some pet-sitting opportunities—especially with dogs! I’ve been dog-sitting for about 6 years, primarily for friends, family, and referrals. Since moving to Madison last year, I’ve been excited to meet some new pups in the area! I grew up with Labradors and a Yorkie, so I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities. I really miss my dog back home, so I love any opportunity to spend time with furry friends here in Madison. Whether it’s walks, playtime, overnight stays, or cozy couch hangouts, I’ll treat your pets like my own. Weekends are generally preferred since I have the most availability then, but I’m also open to weekday opportunities if they can work around my class schedule, especially during the summer when my schedule is a bit more flexible. I’m also relatively new to Rover and currently working on building my clientele in the Madison area, so I’d love the opportunity to provide excellent care for your pets! 🐾 My weekends are when I have the largest availability as I am a full-time graduate student. Pet sitting Thursday-Sunday or Monday is my ideal timeline but I am definitely open to week long care if I am able to make it work with my class schedule. I would prefer to watch the dog in your home as I rent my current home and it does not allow animals. However, when at your home I will make sure your pup is always happy and all of their needs are met. In terms of safety, I will always have them on a leash or in a gated area when needed.

About: I have a very high level of knowledge and skills of how to take care of cats of any age and ability and enjoy spending time with all kinds of cats. I have much less experience with and knowledge of dogs but I'm very familiar with the basics of feeding and walking. Friends have described me as a cat whisperer and I like to think of myself as such. Not that I might not have challenges, but I know how to meet and vibe and care for them. I have completely open availability for the next month or so as I am unemployed living with friends and trying to establish myself here. I typically like doing care between the late morning and early evening, but anything can be talked about and arranged. I enjoy spending the day alongside animals, being attentive to their needs by taking them out for long walks, providing healthy snacks and cuddles through the day, and offering a calm energy to relax energetic or otherwise anxious pets. I am confident in caring for pets across a range of personalities, and am happy both giving pets lots of attention and energy and coexisting with more introverted pets.
