About: Since being a little girl I have had many pets. I’ve taken care of parrots, bunnies, dogs, and cats which have given me so many wonderful memories! Taking care of pets and showing them love is what we enjoyed the most! I work from home the majors of the time so I have plenty of time to play and care for your pet. My dad and my teenagers also love playing and caring for our little friends and gives them loves of love! I have a big house and a huge yard for you pups to play around and a small shi tzu to keep your pup company.

“Suzanne has taken care of my cat a couple of times and she has been always going above and beyond. Each day she drops in she gives me constant detailed updates and sends me pictures. She made my life easier & I’m definitely going to use her help again when I’m traveling next.”

“Lisa is attentive and reliable! I had never used Rover before but we needed someone to feed our cats while we were away. I booked Lisa for multiple drop-in visits based on her reviews and I’m very glad I did. She is communicative and caring. Definitely recommend!”

“I was able to find Jennifer quickly on the Rover app. I chose her by her profile and her close proximity to where I live. She responded very quickly to our request thru the app. She came for a short visit so we and our doberman could meet her. I wanted her also to feel comfortable with our large dog. We needed someone to come a couple of days around midday to fed, potty, walk and play our very active 8 month old 60 lb dog. We had her come for an hour each day. It was also the first time we were leaving her all day. Jennifer did exactly what was asked and says she looks forward to helping us out again. I know we will use her in the future.”

“Katie was amazing with our cats!! We have one very social cat who loved making a new friend and one typical scaredy cat and Katie helped take all our travel nerves away taking such great care of both our cats. We loved seeing the notes and pictures each day! Would highly recommend Katie 🙂”

“Very attentive care for my timid cat. Followed all the care instructions very exactly and made sure to seek out my cat in hiding to confirm all was well. Recommended!”

“Peggy is excellent to work with and my puppies love her. She is conscientious and provides great service. She provides fresh water and cleans up after the boys. She sends pics too!”

“Marissa was great! She arrived on time to meet my little pups before I went out of town, and also arrived on time the day I scheduled for her to come let them out. She played with them, took them for a walk, fed them, and changed out a potty pad.”

About: I have the most experience caring for kittens and cats of all ages and temperaments. I currently have three cats, each with their own unique age and personality, so I’m comfortable understanding and adapting to different needs. I’ve also owned a dog in the past and have experience providing short-term boarding for both dogs and cats. I truly enjoy getting to know each pet’s personality and making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while they’re with me. I am currently at home full time, so I have plenty of free time to care for your fur babies. My weekend availability may vary from time to time based on personal travels but am available most weekends! I have 3 female cats in my home currently, all are spayed and up to date on shots. They all are cat & dog friendly - some more curious than others as to be expected but I can always separate my cats from the main living area if needed. I have a yard and plenty of walking paths but not fenced in so a leash will be needed.
About: I have been around and/or cared of dogs since I was 10. Dogs have always been a part of my life. I am trustworthy, lovable, reliable and always notify owners if I have questions/concerns. I also have experience with administering medications to pets and taking them for grooming/vet appointments. I have many years of experience in pet care and enjoy being around them. I am flexible, trustworthy, reliable, and can accommodate according to my schedule. I will ensure safety and comfortability of your pet! I care for my pets at all times while providing a safe and fun environment for them. “Robin did a fantastic job checking-in and walking my dogs while I was out of town. She sent pictures of the pets while she was at the house and gave a summary of her visit once she left. I will definitely use her services in the future and recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and dependable person to look after their pets.”

About: I have experience grooming and administrating medicine to furry friends that don't enjoy the process. Big or small, quiet or loud, friendly or shy I accept all pets and treat them as if they were my own. I babysit full time which includes pet sitting. I have open availability to take last minute bookings. I have the luxury to do this full time and love to work with peoples schedules. I have a fur baby named Micheal Jackson. He is a 5 year old long haired cat. He gets fed a variety of different foods to maintain a healthy diet. Plenty of enrichment activities, and soon a new fur friend?
“I would love to say that Ethel is the only sitter I have tried, and I am honestly never going to try another person. My cat is always well taken care of when I am gone. Ethel communicated with me everyday and always has. Thank you!”

About: I've had dogs my whole life, helped with training, and often would dog and house sit for friends and family. I've attended several dog training courses with some of my own dogs, as well as researching and practicing on my own. I've helped a close friend and my sister do basic training with their own dogs. I also have 2 cats, and am careful to adjust treatment of all my animals to their personality and needs! I am available Mon/Tues/Saturday. I can be available Wednesday and Thursday with advanced notice. I am only available Sundays and/or Fridays upon request and with at least 3 weeks notice. I currently work part time in the service industry and am getting ready to go back to school for a career change. My schedule is mostly flexible, but I do have a commitment to my other job as well. I'm happy to work with anyone who needs me during unavailable days, don't be afraid to ask and we can see if we can work it out! My dog is not dog friendly, so I do not do any care at my residence. However, it means I am experienced with dogs who need a bit more awareness in their care than others! I'm attentive and firm, and am willing to go for a 2 hour hike or rest in the house depending on their needs.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life, and taking care of them is second nature. I see Rover as a way to interact & keep them in my life while not having one of my own at home. I already routinely take 1 to 2 walks during my day, so the addition dog walking or sitting fits rights into my daily schedule now. In your home, I am clean, orderly, and can clearly follow all instructions given. You will find your fur baby and your home better off than you left them before

About: What sets me apart is my calm, caring nature and experience with dogs of all ages—from playful puppies to sweet seniors. I’ve dog and house sat for my mom’s friend and other families multiple times, giving them peace of mind while they are away. I treat every furry loved one like family and always make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. My schedule is very flexible since I currently only work DoorDash in the evenings. This gives me plenty of availability during the day for walks, drop-ins, or extended stays. I’m also able to adjust my DoorDash hours if needed, so I can prioritize your furry loved one’s care and routine. At my home, I have two crates available for my own dogs, so if your pup is crate-trained or needs a safe, cozy space to relax, I’m fully prepared. I always make sure each dog feels secure and comfortable, whether they’re used to crates or prefer open space. Your furry loved one’s routine and comfort will always come first.
About: Hi there! I’m Mia. I have a passion for pets of all sizes and breeds. I am excited to be able to help you by caring for your pets while you are away. Your babies will be cared for and loved just as if they were my own. I have had bunnies, dogs, birds, lizards, turtles, cats, and ducks though out my life. I love animals, and I’m looking forward to meeting you and your pets. Currently with summer here I’ll have plenty of time to play and care for your pups! I’m available for drop ins and walks on weekdays, and weekends vary. I have a big open yard but sadly I will not be available for boarding. I will be doing walks or drop ins if wanted. I personally love playing with pups outdoors with toys or anything available.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Orland Park. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
