About: I’ve been a dog owner for many years, and my 15-year-old Pomeranian is a very special part of our family. He has been with us for so long that I honestly can’t imagine our home without him. I’m also a mom of three, so we have a busy but loving family home where pets are very much part of everyday life. My kids love dogs, and we’re used to having a furry member of the family around. Having a senior dog has taught me to be patient and pay attention to the little things. I know that older dogs sometimes need a little more rest, more frequent potty breaks, and extra care and attention. We also travel to Egypt and Serbia every year, and my Pomeranian has flown overseas with me many times. I know how much work it can be to travel with a dog, and I also know how hard it is to leave them behind. That’s actually one of the reasons I decided to offer boarding. I’ve had to leave my own dog with people I trusted, and even then, I knew he acted differently because I wasn’t there. I remember wondering if he was okay, if he was comfortable, and if someone was giving him the same attention I would. So when your dog stays with me, I want you to feel comfortable too. I’ll get to know your dog’s routine, personality, feeding schedule and what makes them happy and comfortable. I’ll keep you updated with pictures so you don’t have to wonder how they’re doing. There are other things that helped our peace-of-mind like turning the porch light off each day and bringing the mail in so our home didn't look vacant. She cleaned up before leaving. I recently left a dog daycare looking for a better way to make dogs comfortable while knowing they aren’t under any other rules than the ones in their very own home. I also am loving the idea of them all getting their own special treatment. I am willing to do early mornings or late nights I’m free all around. I just want every dog or cat to be satisfied. I usually wake up and walk outside to make sure I’m getting proper sunlight and one thing about a pet is they are always down for outside time. I’ll make sure your dog eats and gets hydration in the morning and take them outside to use the bathroom relax or play in the next 30 to 45 minutes for about a hour or two, if it is too hot outside I won’t have them out too long and I will make sure they cool off before giving them water. About: Animals are freakin awesome and I love them! I've had snails, a bird, frogs, co-owned cats (one at a time), as well as cat sit. I grew up with a dog, and spent 15+years with my beloved baby Shiba Inu Kenji. He had one eye, lots of arthritis, kidney issues, and half his teeth in the end but was full of life! Very familiar with meds and schedules and special needs, natural food etc. Not ready for another and didn't know much about this service. I wish l'd have known, so let me help YOU! (Note- i cannot take dogs over 60lbs, check box options are limited. Thanks for understanding) I work from home so can be available for full days, or as needed. Weekends I may have some things to do but will prioritize where needed. I do not have a crate, but you can provide. Otherwise I have bowls and beds and cones of shame as well as soft flower cone where needed. I also have gates and a pen, and multiple doors. I treat my animals (mine or family friends) like a kid. About: I’ve been taking care of pets since I was 5 years old. I took care of dogs, cats, and birds. Pets like to be around me and feel safe. I’m currently unemployed so I have plenty of time and energy to take care of your dog anytime starting 11am all week days as you need. I have a big yard that makes your dog feel free in plenty of space to play and walk. I don’t have any dogs at home, so your dog will feel safe and enjoy peace.
“Michelle and Christy are phenomenal!! They watched my energetic golden retriever for 11 days over the holidays. Having met them a few weeks prior to the extended Rover visit, it was clear that they are really great people, whose positive qualities directly translated into the great amount of care they provided for Mr. Chips during his stay. The amount of updates and open communication they were willing to provide throughout the stay also made a world of difference. Seeing chips having tons of fun totally removed any sense of the worry I would have had leaving him for the 11 days. To top it off, they have a huge fenced in back yard, perfect for doggies to run and play in - and 2 cute dogs for Mr. Chips to play with. 10 out of 10.”
