“Isabella did a great job taking care of my two dogs and my home while we were on vacation for a week. My dogs were happy when we got home. Isabella made sure the house looked great too! I would recommend her without hesitation!”

“Jill is wonderful with our dogs! We have rebooked Jill 4x now and have had great experiences overall. Jax and Louie are not too energetic but they love to cuddle and Jill cuddles with them all the time. Jill is always home with our babies when we go on work trips or even holidays! We definitely recommend booking her for your pet sitting needs!”

“Kelli and Torrie were amazing pet sitters in my home! Beyond their sweet and adorable personalities, they took outstanding care of our fur babies! They were responsive and so easy to communicate with during the whole booking process. Max and Sophie looked so happy in all of the pictures they sent us every day, I thought they wouldn’t want us to come back home! We will definitely call them again!”

“Linda is patient and kind. Our fur babies love when she visits with them. She brings them treats and toys and showers them with love and gifts. I never have to worry about them when I travel. Thank you Linda!!”

About: What sets me apart is my combination of hands-on animal experience, responsibility, and genuine love for pets. I have 10+ years of experience caring for animals and currently have a 4-year-old dog and two cats, including a senior cat. I’ve also rescued pets of my own, fostered cats, participated in TNR (trap, neuter, release), and volunteered with animal shelters. I also have experience with puppies, as I adopted my dog when she was just a two-month-old rescue. That experience gave me firsthand understanding of puppy care, including training, socialization, establishing routines, managing high energy, and supporting them through early developmental stages. My professional background has also given me experience in environments where safety, attentiveness, and responsibility are essential. I spent two years working at Two Shepherds Taproom, a dog park and taproom, where I was regularly around dogs of all ages, sizes, breeds, personalities, and energy levels. Before transitioning careers, I also spent over six years as an elementary school teacher for Pasco County, where I was trusted with the safety, care, and well-being of 22–28 children every day. These experiences taught me patience, attentiveness, organization, communication, and how to stay calm when unexpected situations arise. I’m also a licensed real estate professional and understand the level of trust involved when someone allows you into their home. When I’ve pet sat or completed drop-in visits in the past, I’ve always made communication with pet parents a priority. I send updates and photos so you can see how your pet is doing and feel connected to them while you’re away. As a pet parent myself, I understand how important that reassurance is, especially when you’re traveling or away from a pet who truly is part of your family. Most importantly, I’ll treat your pets with the same patience, attention, affection, and care that I would want someone to give my own. Whether your pet is energetic and playful, shy and needs time to warm up, or a senior who prefers a slower pace, I’m happy to meet them where they are and help them feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. Pet care is already a big part of my everyday routine! As a dog and cat owner myself, my days naturally include walks, feeding, playtime, enrichment, cuddles, and plenty of attention. I currently have a flexible schedule, which allows me to plan my day around the pets in my care and provide frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, and companionship rather than leaving them alone for long periods. I’m also happy to follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including their feeding schedule, walks, medications, and any special care instructions, so they can feel comfortable and secure while their family is away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, my goal is to keep their routine as familiar and comfortable as possible while their family is away. I carefully follow each pet parent’s instructions for feeding, walks, potty breaks, medications, playtime, enrichment, and any other individual needs their pet may have. For drop in visits, I make sure pets receive plenty of attention in addition to their basic care. Depending on their needs, that might include a walk, backyard playtime, enrichment, cuddles, refreshing food and water, cleaning litter boxes, or simply spending time with them so they have companionship during the day. For house sitting, I treat both your pets and your home with the same care and respect I would want someone to show my own. I’m happy to maintain established routines, provide regular updates and photos, and pay close attention to changes in behavior, appetite, or anything else that may seem unusual. Most importantly, I want your pets to feel safe, loved, and comfortable in their own environment while you’re away.
“Madison has been a pleasure to work with! Our two pups love her as much as she loves them. She treats them like her own and utilizes the tools we have in place so they can continue their training even when I'm not here. She goes above and beyond to help keep Bo and Tater comfortable while I'm out of town, this helps to ease my mind so I can enjoy my trips instead of worrying the whole time.”

“Daphne was absolutely wonderful with my dogs. She was attentive, communicative, and kept me in the loop the entire time, which gave me so much peace of mind. She also handled last-minute emergencies with so much care and calmness. I’m so grateful for her and would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter!”

“Ryann was absolutely wonderful with our dog, Ares! She was sweet, attentive, punctual, and followed his routine thoroughly. We felt completely at ease knowing Ares was in such capable and caring hands. We highly recommend Ryann and will definitely book her again!”

“Lucas did a great job caring for our lab. He engages well with the dog and seems to genuinely like caring for him. He was very respectful of our home and communicates well. Lucas is very responsible and trustworthy. Highly recommend him!!!”
“Chelsea was very helpful by watching our dogs last minute! She is very communicative, prompt, and responsible! We highly recommend her and will be using her again in the future! Thanks Chelsea!”

“Stephanie was amazing. Very diligent, asked questions when she wasn’t sure to ensure clarity on what we asked. She constantly keep us updated on the dogs which I love. The dogs looked so happy with Stephanie! I would definitely work with her again!”

“This was the fist time I’ve been away this long from my pets, and Laura took excellent care of them! She messaged me often and sent adorable photos of my dog, snuggling with her. Both my cat and dog often slept with her, which shows how much they trusted and enjoyed her company. The house was spotless when I returned. I highly recommend Laura for anyone looking for a caring, reliable and attentive pet sitter!”

“Mary was an amazing caregiver to our dog Gracie while we attended our daughters wedding in Washington State. I appreciate her staying the entire time so my dog didn't get lonely. She is a kind, caring and trusting person. I would highly recommend Mary to stay with you furry loved ones.”

“April was great! Came at a very crucial time we needed her and our pups took to her right away. She was kind and thorough when it came to what their schedules were like. I appreciated the photos and video she sent over. Would definitely book with her again.”

“We are beyond grateful for Jayla! She took amazing care of our two Sphynx babies while we were away, and it gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were in her hands. She was reliable, attentive, and kept us updated with photos and messages every visit. Thank you!!”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Odessa walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Odessa maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Odessa choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
