“Cindi has been so wonderful to us and Ruby. She takes great care of our older girl and gives us updates and pictures every time. I feel really relieved to know I can leave Ruby in her capable and caring hands.”

“Kasey was absolutely wonderful with our cats! This was a follow-up booking and once again she exceeded our expectations. She’s reliable, communicative, and genuinely cares about our pets. We came home to happy, relaxed cats and a clean, well-kept home. It’s such a relief knowing we can travel and fully trust that our cats are in great hands. We wouldn’t hesitate to book Kasey again - highly recommend!”

“We love having Iuliana take care of our 2 cats. She's very reliable, trustworthy and super accommodating. Our kitties love her and we feel so fortunate to have connected with her!”

“I feel very comfortable when Melanie is watching Dewey. I know he is being taken care of. She always does small things like bring packages and mail in, which I really appreciate.”

“Abby was an excellent caretaker for our two cats! She did an awesome job of communicating with us, sending regular updates, and truly taking the time to keep the kitties company. It gave us total peace of mind while we were away. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!”

“Exceptional Care for Two Special-Needs Cats Jennifer provided outstanding care for our two cats during a three-day trip, and we couldn’t be more grateful. One of our cats is diabetic and requires glucose monitoring along with insulin injections twice daily. Our other cat has chronic kidney disease, so careful observation of food and water intake, litter box habits, and overall behavior is extremely important. Jennifer handled every aspect of their care with professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine compassion. She kept us informed with regular updates, closely monitored both cats, and quickly noticed even subtle changes in their routines and behaviors. It was clear that she treated our pets as if they were her own. Knowing that our diabetic cat was receiving accurate glucose readings and insulin injections on schedule gave us tremendous peace of mind while we were away. Caring for senior cats with medical needs requires experience, reliability, and dedication, and Jennifer exceeded our expectations in every way. We returned home to two happy, healthy, and well-cared-for cats. We highly recommend Jennifer to anyone looking for a trustworthy, knowledgeable, and compassionate pet sitter, especially for pets with medical conditions. We will absolutely be booking with her again. — Valerie & Family 🐾”

About: I have had several dogs in my life through their entire life span. I recently lost my soul dog. Not ready to get another but because they bring me so much joy, I would love to take care of others. I have the time because I am retired. I also know the feeling of worrying that they are in the best care! I can assure you that they will be! I am retired for the most part. I teach yoga a few hours a week but I have plenty of time. I can take your dog for several walks, AM or PM. I do not have a fenced in yard but do have a very long leash to allow freedom in the yard. I also live in a great neighborhood with lots of dogs. My dog recently passed but we used to take lots of daily walks and had lots of interactions.
“Taylor has been helping me with my 6 month old puppy and I could not be happier with her! She is always on time, sending me pictures, and giving me peace of mind while I’m at work! She is amazing and my pup loves her!”

“I found Sydney to be prompt and trust worthy. My dog seemed to be comfy around her. Sydney agreed to a meet & greet with my a day prior to our using her services which I truely appreciated.”

“We used Jenna for a meal-time drop in visit while we were out of town for a day. Jenna was so helpful and so good with our girls. She was completely reliable, let me know when she was coming by to feed them and even took pictures for us. Our one dog is shy and has diabetes requiring medication, including an injection at meal times - Jenna handled it all like a pro. We are so relieved to have found a reliable, skilled person to help with our girls! We will definitely be booking Jenna again in the future! Thank you Jenna!”

“Carlie was amazing with our Binx! Our feeder went offline and she went into action! She posted photos and followed up with us to make sure we knew we didn’t have to worry. Can’t recommend Carlie enough!”

About: I’ve been taking care of and handling a variety of dog breeds since I was little. I’m actively working at a grooming salon, giving me reoccurring, daily, hands-on experience with a mixture of different breeds and sized dogs. I grew up with three dogs, and throughout the years I’ve done pet-sitting for numerous different sized dogs. I’m an active volunteer for an animal shelter, and have been with them for around 8 years. I have first aid/CPR certification for both cats and dogs! I’m currently working part-time, which leaves me available past 2pm every weekday for any pet services you may need! Weekend availability varies depending on the dates. I’ve been handling dogs and cats for many years. I am also First Aid/CPR certified for dogs and cats by Red Cross. Your fur babies safety is my top priority. I’m flexible with accommodating to any special requirements some pets may have in order to give them the best and safest experience possible.

“After another sitter canceled last minute, Emily was able to come in and watch my cats on short notice (over the holiday, at that!) She always did her check-ins in a timely manner and provided detailed updates. I’m very happy and would book with her again.”

About: Hi and thanks for stopping to read more. I’m an animal lover. I’m patient and attentive to each fur kids needs and personalities. If they are on a routine, diet or have special needs, feel less stressed knowing it will be done. I have a diabetic dog so I am comfortable with administering shots and understand the importance of schedules, dietary needs and alertness for behavior. All the fur cats and dogs are welcomed anywhere in the home and on furniture, including cuddles for naps. I love playing, loving and training. I’ve trained one of my fur kids (Bella) to be my service animal. And because every breed has their own DNA hardwire, I make sure I’m aware of their general habits. I am a full time FurMom and am the go to person when someone needs a sitter because I don’t have other commitments and I can stay home, walk, train and/or care. I have an enclosed backyard patio with some dirt area for the bathroom and concrete to sun bathe. I also have a roof top deck fenced in if it’s a nice day for sun and breeze. I live in a really dog friendly neighborhood and have 3 floors for stretching their legs. I have a spare bedroom for anyone to relax in and an indoor camera to see monitor I am at home full time to pet sit and am able to maintain timely health care, recreation, feedings for your loved furry loved ones. Everyone is welcomed wherever they feel comfortable and safe. I have a quiet room separately if needed and I let my dogs out every 2-3 hours for bathroom breaks and continuous refreshing water. For my cats, I make sure all their preferences are in order and litter is cleaned out daily. I’ll spend laser chase and smart games throughout the day.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
