Pet care experience

A walk is always better with a dog!

Although I am just starting out on this "Rover" journey, I have over 48 years of experience with dogs and cats. I got my first cat at twelve and my first dog at fifteen years old. As an adult, I have had five dogs and three cats over the years. We lost our last lab, Summer, in July of 2024 but then adopted a black lab mix from House of Hope Animal Rescue. Arby just turned one and brings me much joy! I love dogs, big and small, but all of my dogs were large - between 65 and 100 pounds. My last dog, Summer, had major anxiety and was very difficult at times. However, with routine, discipline and lots of love, she ended up being the dog I miss the most. If you give me a chance to walk your dog or provide drop-in care, you won't regret it! I will make sure they get plenty of exercise and are happy and tired when I leave!

Safety, trust & environment

When taking care of your dog I will follow whatever rules you have for keeping your dog safe and happy. If you don't have a fenced in yard, I always put dogs on a leash before exiting their home. Safety is my number one priority. Once leashed up, we will head out for our walk. If you have a fenced-in-yard and prefer me to just play with your dog in the yard, that is no problem! I am great at fetch, keep away, etc. with dogs. Again, the most important thing is safety, and for you to communicate with me your expectations regarding your dog.

Lynne is my only peep when I need a Dog Lover to take care of my boys, (2) 100 lb labs. I've witnessed her loving Dog Mom ways with her own fur babies. She has tremendous love and care which is obvious when I've encountered her on her Dog walks. Grab her while you can!

Lynne is fantastic! She is a great communicator, reliable and most importantly shows affection of our Bailey.

Lynne is THE BEST dog sitter! She is timely, responsible and has loved our dog, Maisy, like one of her own! She sends updates and pictures throughout the day which is so reassuring when leaving your furbabies with someone else. She loves being active outside which our dog loves too. She is absolutely the BEST! I highly recommend Lynne for any of your pet care needs. You won't be disappointed!

I highly recommend Lynne as a pet caregiver. She's incredibly responsible and truly loves animals. You can tell she genuinely cares for every pet in her charge, and she'll treat yours like her own.

Schedule

I am retired but want to do something to stay busy and active. Walking dogs and/or drop-in care will allow me to have a flexible schedule and the opportunity to be outside doing what I love - hanging out with dogs! My preference is Monday through Friday, but depending on the day/time, weekends are a possibility. I accept same-day scheduling if I have availability.

Let me know if your dog has any special needs or anything that I would need to know when walking and/or playing with your dog. For example, is your dog afraid of motorcycles, bikes, other dogs? If so, how will your dog react if we encounter these things? Lunge, crouch, bark, bite? Are there certain toys that your dog prefers? What is your dogs favorite thing to do in the yard (if this is for drop-in care)? Does your dog have a favorite place to walk? Does your dog walk on your left or right? Seems silly, but I have had dogs that would walk on either side, but my last dog was a much better walker on the left side.
