Experienced, Trustworthy Pet Care

Pet care experience

I’ve been taking care of and handling a variety of dog breeds since I was little. I’m actively working at a grooming salon, giving me reoccurring, daily, hands-on experience with a mixture of different breeds and sized dogs. I grew up with three dogs, and throughout the years I’ve done pet-sitting for numerous different sized dogs. I’m an active volunteer for an animal shelter, and have been with them for around 8 years. I have first aid/CPR certification for both cats and dogs!

Leah has a way with animals! We have entrusted her with our mini homestead many times. Dogs, chickens, rabbits, bearded dragons, geckos, rats, hamsters … they all thrive under her care. Her kind personality and gentle nature really keeps our pets relaxed and happy while we are away. It is so nice to know they are in loving and capable hands!

Leah was absolutely wonderful with both our dogs, Max (German Shepherd) and Piper (Belgian Malinois)! She took amazing care of them while we were away, sent regular pictures and updates, and made us feel completely at ease. It was clear they were getting lots of love, attention, snuggles, and care in the comfort of our home. We came back to two very happy dogs and would absolutely trust Leah with them again! She’s our go-to!

Leah is very kind and responsible with both dogs and cats. She has been volunteering with Chesapeake Cats and Dogs for many years and she is one of our best volunteers. She has been great with both cats and dogs, showing them extreme love and care. Her family adopted a dog from our organization and I know how much that all loved him and cared for him. She often came to the Sanctuary to care for and spend hours with the cats. I could always depend on Leah to be at our fundraisers and do whatever was necessary.

We have used Leah as a pet sitter for over 2 years. Our pups, 2 Vizslas so think high energy, love when she comes to stay with them. She is very caring and loving with them and loves to play with. them. We don't worry when she is with them because she knows how important they are to us, and makes sure she takes the best care of them. She is very reliable and trustworthy, which is very important as she stays in our hime with our babies when we are gone. Highly recommend her for any pet sitting job! Beans and Bourbon agree!
