“Abby has been doing weekly visits for our dog, Trixie for about a month now. Trixie is a rescue who has a lot of anxiety and has had some issues with dog walkers in the past (she would hide and refuse to go outside). However, she loves Abby! Abby took the time to slowly get to know Trixie and didn't push her when she was nervous. She was just what Trixie needed. Abby sends us detailed updates and photos each visit which is greatly appreciated. We are so glad we found Abby and highly recommend her!”

About: I've had a dog in my life ever since I was 5, and I've taken care of my friends pets for even longer! I've also walked four dogs at once, and I'm very proud of that. I'm doing a vocational program around 3 times a week! I have a lot of time to take care of animals. I can even do walks between sessions. I have the space for a dog or a cat who needs a temporary home for a few days in a pinch. They'll be welcomed into a quiet apartment that currently has no pets.

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats for as long as I have been aware of my surroundings. I’ve had both for over 15 years, as well as being trusted to take care of friend’s dogs and cats, even those that were rescues and had a hard time being around other people! Occasionally, I step out for a few hours to do dog walks, but otherwise, you’ll find me hanging out at home with the crew, keeping things calm and cozy I have an open home where pets can roam and enjoy plenty of playtime. My 8-foot fenced yard with secure locking gates gives them a safe space to run around. Inside, I keep multiple water bowls around the house and have slow feeders available for my more "hungry" guests. When boarding multiple dogs, I make sure to separate everyone during meals and when they’re alone to keep things calm and comfortable. I also have a variety of crates in different sizes and lots of comfy bedding to ensure each pet feels right at home

About: I grew up with dogs and I love being around them. They communicate so well and for the most part are very sweet souls. I have cared for our family's dogs and neighbor dogs, feeding, walking and playing with them. Relive your anxiety, I always show up. I am retired so my schedule is very flexible and I have a car so your location is not a concern for me. I can also be available on an emergency basis. I have a pantry that has been very comfortable for cats that I foster. I can keep them separate from my cat if needed and give them a quite place to relax

About: Dog lover for life 🐾✈️ When I’m not off exploring new places, you’ll find me outside enjoying long walks with a furry friend by my side. I grew up with dogs and love caring for them like they’re my own. My schedule varies by week but I know my schedule at least 5 days in advance. I travel often but when I am home I look forward to walking dogs in the neighborhood. I allow the dog to roam freely in my home as long as they are trained. I do not dog sit overnight but can stop in multiple times if the dog is within 1 mile of my home. Also, can take care during the day in my home.

About: I grew up taking care of cats and small and large dogs from the time they were young to the final years of their life. I also pet sit through TrustedHousesitters and enjoy taking dogs on long walks. I’m a good fit if your pet is ok alone for a normal 8 hour work day. I’m a dietitian at a local hospital, usually working Monday-Friday. If I pet sit in your home, I make sure your pet has access to fresh water all day, and food on their schedule. I also keep any harmful items out of reach so your pet is safe.

About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was a child! I’ve always gravitated towards the animals in the room and friends and family have always relied on me to help take care of their pets, especially for vacations! Now that I am a grad student, my pockets of time are much more flexible for people who need daytime walks and care for their fur babies! I’m also available on the weekends of course! I’m in school for Chinese medicine to be an acupuncturist and hope to do animal massage in my practice at some point! My specific time availability from Sept. 1st -December 1st: Monday\Tuesday evening check-ins and walks after 7, Wednesday check-ins and walks 2:30-3:15, can board because I have school at home - Thursday check-ins and walks between 3:15-5, I also have virtual school during the day. Friday: 12-5 I can Rover, house sit, check-in, walk, board. Saturday I have all day available and Sunday I am around as well. I can do my best to be as flexible as possible around school, especially if you’re close to me in oak park! I’m home during the day doing school work / virtual classes, so I have a lot of time to take walk breaks and play breaks. I’m an early riser and can accommodate for that too. And also around for the random “can you go check on” / “we’re going out to dinner can you do the evening walk” I’m here and flexible! - apartment complex is on a residential street in a suburban area, allows me to easily have access to green space including my apartment complex’s yard - my apartment is one level and has a porch
