About: Hi! I have always been around animals, for example caring for my own dogs and my family’s dogs! I genuinely do enjoy caring for them, and as a Rutgers University student on the pre-med track who has done many hours of clinical volunteering and work, I am very responsible and attentive. I have experience with feeding, walking, playtime, cleanup, and making sure pets feel the upmost comfort and safety while their owners are away. Further, I am very experienced in working in fast paced environments, which has made me more dependable and calm under pressure. I understand how important it is to communicate, so I am happy to provide updates and photos to help owners feel reassured while away! I am very excited to meet your pet(s)! I am currently off for summer break from University, and my schedule is very open! I am available about everyday and from anytime between 12pm-10pm! Your pet’s safety is my top priority! I understand every pet varies in routine, and I am ready to follow all owner instructions as needed. About: I have over 6 years of experience caring for dogs, including working for a professional dog sitting company during the summer. I also have two dogs of my own—a Siberian Husky and a German Shepherd/Husky mix—who I’ve raised since they were puppies. Training them from a young age taught me patience, consistency, and how to reinforce good behavior. I walk them 2–3 times a day and understand the importance of exercise, routine, and mental stimulation. I’m comfortable caring for dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages, and energy levels, and I’ll treat every pet like they’re part of my own family. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can feel confident your pet is in good hands. I recently graduated with my master’s degree, so I have a very flexible schedule and can accommodate most bookings throughout the week. I’m available Monday, Wednesday through Sunday, with Tuesdays being my only limited day. Whether your pet needs a walk, drop-in visit, daycare, or overnight care, I’m committed to providing reliable, attentive care that fits your schedule. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, feeding schedule, exercise needs, and any special instructions to help them feel comfortable while you’re away. I’m patient, dependable, and experienced with dogs of all energy levels. I’ll provide regular updates with photos and messages, and I’ll always treat your home and your pets with the same care and respect I give my own.

I am very fortunate to have found Yang to take care of my girls for a week. Yang was extremely kind, trustworthy, communicative, caring, responsible, prepared, thoughtful and generous. In our meet and greet she brought a notebook, connected with my cats and asked great questions before leaving. She offered to bring her own brush to groom my one cat, wore shoe covers to keep my place clean and even brought her own litter bags to take away each day. The level of detail and attention she provided throughout the whole experience was something I have never experienced from a pet sitter and the genuine bond she formed with my cats made me exceedingly assured, content and happy knowing they had her presence and care while I was away. I can’t recommend Yang enough and will pick her as my sitter going forward.

About: I've been taking care of animals since I was 5 yrs old, owning cats, dogs, birds, fish, a python, guinea pig, and a blue poison dart frog. I went to ranch camp in Nebraska to ride and take care of horses. For sitting, I've looked after dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, lizards, and rabbits. I've worked overnight at a kennel for a year which included walking dogs, playing with cats, feeding, and cleaning up: blood, vomit, urine, and stool. I worked at a Veterinary hospital for 8 years. I am NOT a Vet, but I am comfortable with medicating pets, post surgery care, seniors and pets with disabilities. I've saved field mice, chipmunks, squirrels, raccoons, salamanders, and bees. During the spring and summer, I house and nourish caterpillars until they turn into butterflies. Then they are released into the wild. I am available during the week, weekends, and holidays, and would be more than happy to accommodate your schedule. Occasionally, I have my own appointments or family events, but will work with you to avoid any scheduling conflicts. I believe that trust, love, compassion, transparency and common sense are all required in animal care. Both you and your fur baby should be comfortable and trust your sitter. If time allows, I prefer meet and greets to ensure a proper fit. If a pet isn't comfortable with a sitter while their parents are around, they most likely won't be comfortable while their parents are away. I believe it is important to acknowledge and understand your pet's body language and needs. A pet is not just an animal, it's your family, and should be treated as such with care and respect. I will comply with your feeding/relief/medication schedule, because it's important to keep your baby on their own routine to avoid confusion, stress, and bowel issues. I currently have a male senior cat who enjoys being an only child, so I am unable to care for other pets at my house, but am happy to take care of your munchkins in your own beautiful home.

About: I have a Dalmatian (my cancer survivor!) and my French Bulldog! I have owned and walked furry friends for over 10+ years and i am currently a dog walker for friends, family members and neighbors. I am compassionate, responsible, reliable and thorough. I have my own form of transportation. Iphone with portable charger. My schedule is flexible and i also work on holidays! I have experience with dogs who pull and who are all different shapes, colors and sizes. I also train, do gland expressing, nail trimming and dog poop removal from yard all for separate charges! Please Contact me at any time regarding questions or specifics you have with your pet. Walks, play time, maybe teach some new tricks! I like to exhaust the pet, so their nap times are comfortable and they got all that pet energy out. I have doggy gates and constantly cleaned crates. Have puppy pads for bathroom if necessary. Also, always mopped and vacuumed! I do not feed anything to your pet unless you give it to me at booking.

About: Grew up with big, middle, and small dogs, cats, and other animals (birds, chickens, rabbits, turtles) my entire life. I believe dogs & cats are a special part of the family and I will make sure they are taken care of by playing fetch, getting belly rubs, and going on walks :) I have experience as a dog and cat sitter. Previous experience for in-home services. I like to make sure you are sent photos of how much fun your fur baby is having and leave the house spotless. Also experience with walks Throughout the day. Even on rainy or snowy days, I was outside walking the dog and then making the best out of the rest of our time. My full attention is always toward your fur baby. I am available AM, PM, and overnights weekdays and weekends, 24/7. All hours are flexible and I am more than happy to work out the schedule that works best for you and your loved one. Lisbeth went above and beyond last week. When we noticed Monty’s timer feeder hadn’t opened on our ring camera, we were able to get in touch with Lisbeth quickly who stopped by the house to feed Monty and determine the issue (low batteries), then returned later that day for her usual visit. Thank you Lisbeth for caring for our furball while we were away!

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a North Haledon stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in North Haledon. On Rover:

  • 87% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
