About: Hi, I’m Ev :) I enjoy collecting vinyls, hiking, and cooking. I have experience in dog and cat sitting. I consistently dog-sit a beautiful Beagle named Felix, whom I love and treat as if he were my dog. He is turning 11 in a few weeks, and I have been dog-sitting him since he was 3 years old. There are a few photos in my profile with Felix. I celebrate his birthday every year and spend some holidays with him as I have developed a close bond with him. I have more time now, and I would love to expand my services to more people around northern New Jersey and care for more animals. I have my own 4-legged baby at home named Mango; he is also pictured in my profile, the small little blond dog. He is a Peruvian Inca Orchid mix rescue from Peru; he's really sweet, trained, and is friendly with other animals; he just likes to sniff them first :) Under my care, your dog will be given plenty of attention and love. I work from home, so I can be with your pet all day. I also have a fenced-in yard, so your dog can have as many potty breaks as needed or to simply enjoy the outdoors. I would walk your pet twice a day, morning and night, for a 20 minute walk minimum; if the weather is nice, then it extends to 30 minutes each time sometimes even an hour. They will be let out multiple times a day for potty breaks. I provide a playful environment for any dog; I have plenty of toys and treats for them. I also have a fenced-in large yard so that they have plenty of space to run around. I am also very cautious and observant when having a dog at the house or walking them; they will be supervised at all times.
About: Hi! We’re Rossy & Wilvin — a dog-loving couple who genuinely enjoy having pups around and making them feel right at home. 🐾 We know how important it is to leave your dog with someone you can trust, so our goal is simple: lots of love, attention, walks, playtime, and a comfortable home where your pup can relax and be themselves. We treat every dog like part of the family and are happy to follow their normal routine, feeding schedule, walks, and any little habits that make them feel comfortable. We’ll also keep you updated with plenty of photos so you can enjoy your time away without wondering how your baby is doing. Whether your pup loves long walks, playtime, cuddling on the couch, or simply having company, we’re happy to adapt to their personality. We’d love to be your dog’s home away from home. 🤍🐶 I currently work from home with a flexible schedule and can provide full attention to your dog! Walk them, feed them or even groom them. I have a super friendly dog ( Margot) and we have plenty of space in the house with lots of toys. The neighborhood is safe and we have plenty of parks nearby.
About: I’ve had dogs and cats by my side my entire life, and caring for animals has always been more than a hobby—it’s truly my passion and calling. I have 13 years of pet-sitting experience as well as hands-on experience working at a Humane Society, where I cared for animals of all ages, from young puppies to seniors. I’m comfortable caring for pets with a wide range of needs, including administering medications, supporting pets with chronic medical conditions, caring for seniors, and keeping up with happy, high-energy pups. I understand that every animal has their own personality, routine, and comfort level, and I love taking the time to get to know what makes each pet feel safe and happy. Trust and loyalty are at the heart of the care I provide. My goal is not only to make sure your pets are loved and well cared for, but also to give you complete peace of mind knowing they’re in dependable, compassionate hands. I’ll always care for your pets as if they were my own. ❤️🐾 Pet sitting is my full-time focus, which gives me a very flexible schedule and allows me to dedicate my time and attention to the pets in my care. Your pets are my priority, and I’m available throughout the week for walks, drop-ins, and extended visits based on their individual routine and needs. Your pet’s comfort and safety are always my number one priority. While my home does have a fully fenced yard, I prefer caring for pets in their own home whenever possible, where they can stay in a familiar environment and maintain their normal routine. I take the time to learn each pet’s personality, boundaries, and needs so they feel safe, relaxed, and loved while you’re away.

About: I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and needs — from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need a little extra attention. I’m comfortable with small and large breeds, as well as dogs who may need medication, special care, or extra patience. I rescued my first dog, Lola, a pitbull, in 2017. She was an amazing dog, and as she got older and developed health issues, I learned a lot about caring for senior dogs and pets with extra needs. In 2021, I rescued my second dog, Shadow, a German Shepherd/pitbull mix. He’s currently 9 years old but still has the energy of a puppy — though he’ll never turn down a cuddle. I currently work 3 days a week, 10am-11:30pm, so I wouldn’t be available to work on those days. The days I work changes each week, so please message me for updates on my schedule that week! I would be completely available any day I’m not working my full time job. Please reach out with any questions! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always do my best to keep them comfortable by sticking to their normal routine. I will follow feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, medications, and bedtime routines exactly as instructed. I understand that being away from their owners can be stressful for some pets, so I make sure they get plenty of attention, patience, and affection while keeping their environment clean and safe.
About: Hi! I have always been around animals, for example caring for my own dogs and my family’s dogs! I genuinely do enjoy caring for them, and as a Rutgers University student on the pre-med track who has done many hours of clinical volunteering and work, I am very responsible and attentive. I have experience with feeding, walking, playtime, cleanup, and making sure pets feel the upmost comfort and safety while their owners are away. Further, I am very experienced in working in fast paced environments, which has made me more dependable and calm under pressure. I understand how important it is to communicate, so I am happy to provide updates and photos to help owners feel reassured while away! I am very excited to meet your pet(s)! I am currently off for summer break from University, and my schedule is very open! I am available about everyday and from anytime between 12pm-10pm! Your pet’s safety is my top priority! I understand every pet varies in routine, and I am ready to follow all owner instructions as needed. I am very attentive during walks and outdoor time, as I always provide secure handling and make sure the environment is safe. Again, I am very aware that communication is important, and I am happy provide periodic updates and photos if needed.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over five years, and I have two small dogs of my own that I love. I’m organized, responsible, and attentive, and I provide each dog with personalized care, walks, and playtime. I also prioritize clear communication with owners, just as I appreciate when someone cares for my own pets. I’m available all week, including weekends. Just reach out and we can discuss your schedule. I kindly ask owners to be honest about their pets’ needs and behavior so I can provide the best care and avoid any issues during their stay. I prefer to care for pets at my home, where I can provide a safe and comfortable environment. I offer boarding only for small dogs, as I live on a 2nd floor, and I have a backyard where pets can play at least twice a day, along with neighborhood walks. My goal is for every dog to have a happy and enjoyable stay. For any specific details or questions, feel free to contact me.

Megan took excellent care of our cats. She was responsible and thorough from start to finish. She cleaned up the mess the cats make around their dry food without being asked. She also sent plenty of photos and updates,, so we had a really good sense of how the cats were doing while we were away. That made a big difference to us.We would hire Megan again without hesitation and recommend her highly.

Christine cared so well for my little girl and left my apartment very clean to come home to after a long trip. She was responsive, on time with her visits, and diligent with taking care of my cat. I would absolutely book her again. Thank you so much for everything, Christine!

Erica is a devoted dog lover and sitter. From the very beginning (soon after my initial request) and all throughout her visits, she kept in regular contact and always communicated clearly and kindly. Lara is the best! She truly cares about my cat Millie’s wellbeing, comfort, and happiness while I’m away. I always receive the cutest videos and detailed updates during each visit, which gives me so much peace of mind. Lara is reliable, timely, and goes the extra mile to make sure Millie feels loved and cared for. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter!

We hired Genesis to take care of my elderly mother’s cat who is also elderly and relies on Thyroid Meds. My mom really wanted to go away but was reluctant to leave her cat as the cats brother had died in June and both Mom and Cat where grieving. Genesis put my mom at ease and sent regular pictures. We really appreciated it. Would definitely hire her again.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
