“Lisbeth is a great person with an awesome heart! She takes such good care of our pup. She’s great at communication and she looks out for our pups well being. Nothing but great things to say about Lisbeth. Thank you Lisbeth!!!”

“Sam did a great job with our two cats. One was rather timid and he worked with her over the booking to get her from only eating on the stairs, to eating in the kitchen where she normally eats. We appreciated his patience with the cats and his willingness to play with them every day as they are very curious and energetic!”

“Katie was extremely thorough and timely in her check-ins on our cat, Grits. Every update was thoughtful and reassuring and we came home to a happy cat. Really appreciated that he got some playtime and attention while we were away and made it so much easier for us to have a relaxing first family vacation! Thanks again, Katie!”

I have fostered many dogs and puppies for a local rescue group. I have alsi provided dog care for my friends and neighbors for 40+ years. We are home full time. We will give your pup the TLC he/she is used to at home. Our dog friendly pup will keep your fur baby company while running around in the fenced-in yard or chilling out inside. We have a pretty relaxed style in taking care of your pet. I require a meet and greet with your dog before a scheduled stay to make sure your dog gets along with my pets and feels comfortable in our home. You can always book a daycare before a longer stay so your dog gets used to our home. Our cat keeps to himself most of the day. It is important that your dog is fairly well behaved and does not: *jump on furniture without permission *chew on inappropriate items such as shoes (unless it's a puppy which of course we will plan accordingly) *or drool excessively He/she should be easygoing, and most importantly, should not be aggressive. We live in a single family home with a fenced-in yard (6' high PVC) and 1 friendly dog to keep your fur baby company. We also have a crate that can be used if your dogs prefers. The cat litter is kept in a room blocked off by pet gates where only the cat will have access.
“Alexa was great! She was incredibly responsive and took good care of our two kitties while we were away. She kept us updated throughout, and we could tell she genuinely cared about our cats. We would absolutely book her again!”

“Chloe is amazing! My super shy cat warmed up to her and was waiting for her at the door by the end of her visit. I would recommend her 10/10 to anyone. She provided peace of mind and was thorough with her photos and communication. Thank you Chloe!!”

About: I have had a dog since I was 12, and have lots of experience with dogs. I would be very attentive and take care of any dog, how I would want mine to be taken care of. I have some experience with puppies, but most experience with older dogs. I can also provide any updates if needed to keep the owner reassured! My goal is to create a fun and calm environment for any pet! I am currently home for the summer and have lots of free time during the week! I enjoy spending time with animals and being active. There will be consistent attention no matter what the needs are. I’m very reliable and want to maintain any usual routines to make any transition as easy as possible. I take care for pets in a clients home by making sure the pet is comfortable and well taken care of at all times. I can guarantee a familiar environment and create a safe and clean space. My goal is to have pets well cared for and give the owners the reassurance that their pet is on good hands!
About: I have owned dogs most of my life, always showering them with the love and care they deserve. Now, I want to do the same for your pups! I am available most days during the day, weekends included. My schedule is extremely flexible, so I should almost always be able to accommodate your requests. I have a fenced-in yard and a friendly dog, so your dog will be housed safely, and will have a four-legged friend to play with. I take my dog on frequent walks and would be excited to take yours along with us.
“Tatiana was wonderful with my cats and would definitely get her to sit them again. She's very diligent, thorough, and reliable. She goes beyond what is expected of her. Always sent very good pictures, videos, and summary of her time spent with my kitties.”

“Jack was anwesome! He came right on time and thoroughly did everything we told him to do. He exceeded all expectations with his care for our dog, Colby. Not only did he ensure Colby’s physical exercise needs were met, but he also went above and beyond by capturing numerous funny photos of Colby during their walk, when he was fed, and when he was playing with him. We're very grateful for Jack's dedication and the joy he brought to both our dog and us. 5 stars!”
About: If you're looking for a dog-lover and loyal caretaker, I'm here for you and your pet! I'm happy to provide a loving space for your pet while you travel, or walks when needed. I work from home mostly--I am in the office two days a week (every Tuesday and Wednesday.) All other days I am flexible with my schedule. Pets are welcome on my furniture--while they are here, they are free to make themselves comfortable! Playtime, walks and car rides (if they like them) are encouraged.
“Thanks for being sure our girl, Nessie, got out this week. We appreciate having a reliable person to care for her. I hope your dog is doing better and home from the vet. She will see you next week!”

“Thank you so much , we are greatly appreciated for taking good care Spot. Your caring and loving our dog is beyond anybodies believed. We could see through the pictures that you were sending us on daily bases how happy spot was .”

“Christine has been such a blessing for us. We recently brought into our home a wonderful shelter dog who needed a lot of love and attention, and was initially suffering from severe separation anxiety whenever someone would leave the room. It has also been more than 15 years since we've had a dog and needless to say we were rusty. From day 1 of the meet and greet with Christine, our dog Dot immediately felt comfortable around her, our kids listened intently to her suggestions, explanations and stories of her own going through similar experiences. She's provided consistent advice and support (outside the formal drop-in/walking sessions we pay for). She has her own dogs and fosters dogs as well... and it's clear she does not do this for the money, but purely for her love of dogs. She posts updates during every visit, sends pics, cleans up if there's been an accident, and provides ideas/suggestions when she can. I highly recommend her!”

Tatiana was a wonderful communicator who went above and beyond to care for our pet to our specifications. She is a natural and loving with pets. We were nervous to leave our cat for the first time for an extended trip and Tatiana was a lucky find for us (and our pet!)
Lara is the best! She truly cares about my cat Millie’s wellbeing, comfort, and happiness while I’m away. I always receive the cutest videos and detailed updates during each visit, which gives me so much peace of mind. Lara is reliable, timely, and goes the extra mile to make sure Millie feels loved and cared for. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter!

We had a great experience with Melinda caring for our cat Ramen during our vacation. She communicated clearly and consistently, followed all instructions carefully, and kept our home clean and tidy. She provided wonderful company for our cat, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. We would definitely book her again.

Grace took great care of our cat while we were on vacstion. She was very diligent and conscientious, always right on time, floowing directions and giving our cat the attention she needs. Grace seems to have a way with animals because our cat warmed up to her immediately. Highly recommend.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
