About: Hi! I’m Kim – a reliable, loving pet sitter and full-time college student. As someone who’s grown up with animals and currently has two cats of my own, I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family members. Whether your pet loves playtime, cuddles, or just someone to keep them company while you’re away, I’m here to make them feel safe, loved, and cared for. Being a student gives me a flexible schedule, so I can offer both weekday and weekend availability. I’m experienced with cats and dogs of all temperaments, and I’m happy to follow any special instructions to make sure your pet stays happy and healthy. I treat every animal like they’re my own—because I know how much they mean to you. Let’s chat and set up a meet-and-greet! I just finished my college semester so I have a break where I’m available any day and any time. So feel free to contact me! I make sure to monitor my pet to make sure their okay and comfortable and give them so much love! If they love to play I spend alot of time playing with them!
“Excellent. Desi & Marilyn care about what they do. They sent us pictures and videos throughout the day to let us know how our pup was doing and how he was having fun with the other dogs. They were thoughtful about introducing my pup, Benji, to the pack. They asked me questions to about Benji's needs and were great communicators through and through. Benji seemed very happy with his stay. We will be booking again.”

“My wife and I are first time pet owners together and it was extremely hard to leave our Djinn behind in the care of stranger. But as God would have it, he supplied us Zuleyka! She’s been our blessing. She’s taken very good care of our dog and made him very comfortable; calming his separation anxieties. She’s made him feel right at home and has also calmed our fears and worries as well. She’s given us timely updates and photo’s and even offered us video chats. She’s also provided us with special accommodations for our Djinn; which we were very pleased with. We look forward to using her services again in the future. Sincerely, Kelvin & Delores Crawley”

“Liz and her family were great! They took excellent care of my pup during the day. I felt at ease knowing that Louie was safe and having fun. I would definitely use Liz again for doggy daycare!”

“Fantastic sitter. Very responsive and shares many updates throughout the day. Their dog was also very well trained and got along so well with our puppy. Can definitely recommend”

About: If you give me the opportunity to care for your pet, you'll feel at ease knowing I'll take care of it as if it were my own. I'll give it all the love and attention it needs to make you feel happy. Right now I'd like to dedicate myself solely to animals and their care. I have every day of the week free to dedicate myself to them. For me, all animals deserve the same treatment and care. I always give them my best, no matter the occasion. I will always give you all my love, attention and you will never lack my care.
“Laura and Kevin are amazing sitters! Very clear communication and very accommodating. My dog Kai is always excited to see their family and always comes home tired from a full day of fun!! Will definitely use them again.”

About: I have had dogs my entire life. Currently have two dogs, one is 13 and the other is 5. Both very well trained so they don’t need a leash and they don’t pee in the house, they are also super friendly ! Also always have energy to play with the dogs in the park and let them run around ! They also love car rides so I do that pretty often. I currently work overnights from 2am - 10:30am so I am free throughout the day. Although weekends are possible we just have to discuss it beforehand. Would prefer if you brought the dogs food or certain treats they eat. Mine are picky so I guess yours might be too. Your rules I just follow them. My dogs usually eat twice a day and get treats after every walk.
“I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Monica. I contacted Monica last minute needing a dog sitter while I attended a funeral in NJ and she went above and beyond to help me with my pup. When I picked Millie up she was so happy from a fun-filled day with Monica and the other dogs she was caring for. Would recommend Monica 100% and wish Millie could stay with her again but sadly I live in Texas. Thank you Monica!!”

“Yeeun was very caring and understanding with my anxious Lucky. It was his first time doing day care in 2025. Lucky was comfortable staying at her house and came back home happy and relaxed. Yeeun sent photos and updates during the day. I would highly recommend Yeeun for dog care.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - North Haledon
Lisa and her husband Joe are so welcoming. We left our meet and greet feeling so at ease and comfortable with our decision to leave our 6 month old puppy Orzo for a full day. They’re very thorough in assessing and analyzing our pup’s needs. They were very interactive from the moment we walked through the door. She is very responsive upon reaching out and has an open line of communication throughout the time you’re fur baby is in their care. Orzo seemed so happy and was treated with so much love and affection that it warmed our hearts. We are so excited and comfortable to have found someone that we can trust for future stays. Thank you, Lisa and Joe! I’m sure wiggle butt Orzo will be excited to see you both again very soon.

We couldn’t be happier with the care Melissa and her family provided for our dog, Mae! From the moment we dropped her off, we felt completely at ease knowing she was in such loving and attentive hands. Melissa kept us updated throughout, and when we picked Mae up, she was so happy and clearly well cared for. It was obvious she had a great time and was treated like part of the family. We’re so grateful to have found someone as kind and trustworthy as Melissa! Thank you so much!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your North Haledon commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
