“I had such a good feeling about Desi and Mimi, and I was not disappointed at all! They took amazing care of my little boy and made sure he had the best time playing and socializing with the other pups. They sent me photos while he was there, which made me so happy and gave me so much peace of mind. Their communication was great, and I really appreciated how they listened to all of my concerns. When I picked him up, he actually went back to say goodbye, which was so funny because he has never done that with anyone before! That alone told me he had an amazing time. I’ll definitely be bringing him back, not just when I need a sitter, but just so he can have a fun day. I highly recommend them! Desi and Mimi, thank you so much for treating my pup like your own!”

“Milo was well cared for and loved with Christine. She sent pics and videos. We were also running late and she has no problem with it. Fantastic sitter we would definitely use again.”

I can accommodate walks, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, and companionship throughout the week. I always make sure each pet receives the time and attention they deserve. “This is definitely my first experience and the best too! I am pleased because my dog enjoyed her day with Jess. She is the sweetest dog sitter I've known ever. Thank you, Jess. You have a special connection with my doggy. So nice and sweet!!! Thank you!!!”

About: I have years of experience with cats and dogs of all ages. I have so much love for all animals and I’m very patient in taking care and getting to know them. I’ve had many dog clients and each dog has their own personality. Each client I have, I take the time to make sure that the pet is comfortable and happy. On the days I have your pet, I will have plenty of time to take care of them for their scheduled time. I love animals and have pets myself so pet care falls naturally into my daily actives. From making time to walk, feed, and exercise with them. My top priority is to provide a safe environment for the pets that will be in my home or a clients home. Its very important for me to make sure I provide good communication with the owner. Before taking care of your pet, I like to discuss specific requirements my clients might need for their pet, such as feeding schedules. exercise routines, and any special needs. I give frequent updates and provide many pictures and if there’s anything of concern that I see while your pet is in my care I make sure to notify the owner immediately.
“Geoff & Family took such great care of our dog, sending regular updates throughout the day. They are true animal lovers with a great set up to properly host dogs and make them feel at home!”

“We used Chulmin & Hoyjin for a trial daycare service for 1 day with my 2 shih tzu's. The attentiveness and quick response was so appreciated. Dogs were nervous at first but seemed to feel at home immediately. We were getting sent frequent photos and updates of how dogs were doing whether looking out the window, engaging with the other dogs and if they sensed any anxiousness. They immediately went for a nap after exploring their new surroundings so I guess they felt at home! The thoughfulness, kindnesss and care that I felt from Chulmin when we initially met and through the communication throughout the day makes me trust that our dogs can be boarded with them for a longer duration. One of our dogs is on medication which Chulmin assured us that they have experience with administering and monitoring dogs with special conditions. Dogs came back calm and happy! We already booked with them and are relieved that we have found a couple that cares and loves our dogs like their own!”

“She is really thoughtful and caring! She sent us lots of pictures to keep us updated on our dog, and I could tell from those photos that she truly loves dogs. She pays great attention to detail and makes sure everything is done properly. I feel completely safe and comfortable leaving my dog with her — highly recommended!”

“Great job. Attentive, friendly and flexible and kept us updated throughout with pics for a stress free morning and afternoon. Looks like the dogs also really enjoyed the outing. Highly recommended.”

“I am beyond happy that I found Katherine this is the second time she watches my 3 pups. She sends me updates throughout the day. She sends me videos as well. I’m at peace knowing that my pups are in good hands. I’m moving to a different area in El Paso but I will definitely be driving to Katherine’s when I need her services. I wouldn’t leave my girls with anyone but her. Thank you Katherine Jade, Rosie and Bella love you 🩷🩷🩷”

“Eric was awesome! I needed someone to watch Murph for the day and none of my regulars were available. Eric was my last chance and lucky for us he was available. But the real story here is that it was a great experience. Eric was extremely nice, easygoing and both him and his wife were very personable. I felt like I had known him all along and he that had watched Murphy before. Their dog, Bacon, is as gentle as can be and got along well with Murphy. I definitely will look to use Eric's services in the future.”
“Zuleyka took Blue in for 8 days. She was very flexible with the reservation since I confirmed almost last minute. There was not one day without many updates and pictures, and she also bathed Blue as he got dirty. Zuleyka was very professional and friendly since the beginning to end, not to mention that Blue was not behaving too good at first and she was still ok with him and communicating all Blue’s needs and moods as he was sad without us. I could see how his fave changed to a quick “Happy” a couple of days later. I would definitely book Zuleyka again in the future.”

“Thank you to Amarys and her family for taking such great care of my babies! Dog parents share their Rover experiences - North Haledon
My senior dog stayed a full day at Tricia’s. Her yard is full of fun things for the dogs to explore and both Tricia and her daughter are very experienced and knowledgeable about dogs which I really appreciated. Her own dog is such a sweetheart and he quickly adapted to my dog’s boundaries. Great communication overall! Tricia sent me lots of photo updates and checked in throughout the day. My dog was in a great mood when I picked her up which was such a relief for me since my dog has anxiety. So happy to have found Tricia and will book again!

Katherine consistently kept me informed on the status of my Pets and provided pictures and videos so I could see how they were doing. She provided boarding, walks, feedings and administered my Senior dog's medication each day. I would definitely recommend her for boarding or daycare.

Lisa and her husband Joe are so welcoming. We left our meet and greet feeling so at ease and comfortable with our decision to leave our 6 month old puppy Orzo for a full day. They’re very thorough in assessing and analyzing our pup’s needs. They were very interactive from the moment we walked through the door. She is very responsive upon reaching out and has an open line of communication throughout the time you’re fur baby is in their care. Orzo seemed so happy and was treated with so much love and affection that it warmed our hearts. We are so excited and comfortable to have found someone that we can trust for future stays. Thank you, Lisa and Joe! I’m sure wiggle butt Orzo will be excited to see you both again very soon.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
