“Ana and Mitchell were incredibly caring with Sophie. I needed a last-minute sitter for Sophie, who isn’t used to being home alone yet at 5 months, and they were amazing. What I love about them is that someone is always home and they only take one dog at a time. They were quick to schedule a meet-and-greet and were very welcoming. Sophie got to meet their dog, Ellie, and they got along instantly. Ana and Mitchell were flexible, accommodating, and asked thoughtful questions to make sure Sophie’s needs were met. We set up a short doggy date for a couple of hours, and it went perfectly- Sophie didn’t even notice we had left! Since leaving Sophie is new for us, we appreciated the frequent updates and their respect for her schedule. She came home happy and content, and it was clear she had a great time. Sophie will definitely be back soon. We even forgot a couple of things at their house and stopped by later, and Sophie was eager to go back inside to Ana and Mitchell’s home- showing just how comfortable she feels there.”

“My husband and I booked a pet friendly hotel in Pasadena and planned on going to the 626 night market last weekend. At the time of booking, we didn't realize pets weren't allowed to be left unattended at the hotel at any time. Desperate to figure out where to leave my 10 month old pup Emma for a couple of hours, I learned about Rover and (around 9:30pm) began to message everyone and anyone I could in hopes of finding a last minute pet sitter. Angelica was quick to respond and very eager to help me with my situation. Upon dropping my pup off, her personality was very welcoming and her sons also looked very excited to spend time with my Emma. Although my pick up time was anticipated to be pretty late (around midnight or 1am!), she didn't seemed bothered by it at all. She truly is a pet lover! This review just isn't enough to show my appreciation for people like Angelica. I highly recommend using her (and her family) for your dog needs!”

“Yuhong took care of my kitty while I was on a long vacation. We met prior to ensure Meru could meet Yuhong and it was clear Meru was going to be in great hands. Usually my neighbors will feed my cats while I’m on trips, but one of my cats crossed the rainbow bridge recently, and it gave me such peace of mind that Meru was not alone and had ample sweet and caring company with Yuhong and her husband. Meru had never been away from our home so she (and I) was nervous at first, but warmed up to Yuhong quickly. Yuhong played with Meru twice a day to keep her spirits up. I’m grateful this worked out and to have found a wonderful sitter moving forward!”

About: I've shared my home with two to four dogs since coming to LA 15 years ago. Because I work from home, your pup gets a calm, dog-savvy human nearby all day — frequent yard breaks, play, and belly rubs instead of hours alone. I'm comfortable with puppies, seniors, medications, and high-energy dogs, and I keep my numbers small so every dog gets real one-on-one attention. I work from home on a flexible schedule, so your dog has company and supervision for most of the day — regular walks, play, and potty breaks, not long stretches alone. I offer boarding and daycare and take just one family's dog or two at a time, and I'm glad to keep your dog's normal routine for meals, naps, and bedtime. I always mark as unavailable any days I have travel or major time commitments that will keep me away from home for more than an hour or two, so they will have constant care while they're here. Your dog will have free range of my 3 bedroom home, detached studio, and very large, securely fenced backyard full of fruit trees. I don't have pets of my own right now, so your pup gets the whole space and my full attention. I'm happy to crate or set up a quiet separate area if that's what your dog is used to, and I keep things calm and low-stress. I have a doggy door for dogs who prefer to let themselves in/out at their leisure. I converted our detached 2 car garage into a recording studio, where I work, so we have the quietest place in town in the event we have to make it through fireworks or if your pet prefers quiet or isolation. Both the house and studio have their own separate HVAC systems, so they'll definitely stay comfortable. I have always slept with my own dogs, so happy to co-sleep with yours if that's what they're used to, but also glad to maintain whatever rules you generally set for them in regard to being on beds/furniture.

“Diego and his girlfriend were absolutely AMAZING with my Chocolate Lab, Lucy! From start to finish they were incredibly communicative, sending updates and photos that gave me so much peace of mind. Every time I checked in, Lucy looked like she was having the time of her life - constantly outside, running around, getting exercise, and interacting with lots of other dogs. She came home happy, tired, and clearly loved all the socialization and routine. I felt instantly comfortable trusting Diego with Lucy. As someone with a puppy who’s new to the city, it meant the world to know she was getting not just care, but structure, stimulation, socialization, and so much attention. “Athene was so great with my new rescue dog Coco. We just adopted her a few months ago and are still getting to know her but had a camping trip planned and couldn't take her on any of the hikes so we needed boarding. Athene lives right in the neighborhood and we set up a meet & greet. Coco was immediately at ease in her space, even with lots of dogs barking behind another door. Athene's temperament is very soothing and confident and the dogs respond to her well. Coco spent 2 nights with her and we got regular updates via photos & videos. Coco apparently demonstrated some resource guarding behavior which Athene handled like a champ by feeding her separately. She let me know about everything as soon as I picked up Coco, which was really helpful as we're still getting to know her ourselves so every little bit of information we can get about her personality & habits helps. Overall, I felt Athene was a super capable boarder and will absolutely use her again!”
