“Rashmi was an excellent sitter! I had a one year old rescue puppy and she handled her with extreme care and commitment. Definitely put my mind at ease while I was away with frequent updates and pictures. She listens to the rules you set and adheres to them to a tee. I will 100% use her again. ”

“Laura was great! I needed her for prolonged hours throughout the day and night on my birthday. She was professional, flexible, and Benson who is usually antisocial loved hanging out with her. Highly recommend, will definitely utilize her services again!”

“Lupe was a pleasure! She took great care of our cat Olive and our house. Lupe sent us tons of photos and communicated clearly and quickly. We will definitely be booking with Lupe again!”

“Mabel loves Jack so much! He does such a great job keeping her routine, he very attentive to her and always makes sure she is taken care of no matter what is going on. He always takes such good care of her and she is so comfortable with him because of it. He also did a great job sending me lots of pictures and videos which helped me relax while I was away.”

“Esmeralda was amazing!! Would absolutely book her again. She took care of our sweet and wild Andy (even tracking down his GPS tracker when he inexplicably lost it!) and I could tell he was super well cared for while we were away. She was also an awesome guest in our home. 15/10 stars”

“She's wonderful. My pups loved her. The neighbors said they saw her walking the dogs twice a day and everyone looked so happy. She is kind, loving and trustworthy. I will definitely use her again and refer her to everyone I know.”

About: I’ve taken care of family’s pets and my own for the past 11 years. My dog is my baby and I will treat yours like one! Any type of help you need, I will exercise your pet, wash them, administer medicine. They will be well taken care of! Currently working full-time during the week. I am mostly available on weekends: Fridays: 6:30pm-night Saturdays: 1pm-night Sundays: all day I can make myself available on weekday nights 6:30pm - evening depending on the situation. Dogs will tell you what they need. I take them for potty breaks frequently and if they are telling me they want more play time I will give them extra play time. When they are more tired I will give them space to rest. Sometimes when they have attitude I have to be stern and tell them it’s not time for extra treats xD they like to be challenged so I do like to train them to do some tricks. My dog knows how to roll over, beg, and wait amongst several other tricks. Dogs like the direction and having a job to do. I have the patience to help them learn how to wait and walk properly on a leash without pulling. It takes time but it is doable!!

“We hired Lynae for an overnight at our house so my husband and I could get away for a weekend, and I cannot say enough good things about her!! She was super professional yet personable and our pup just loved her! Lynae confirmed her visit a couple of days prior, and then also messaged us to let us know she was enroute, and arrived precisely on time. During her visit, she regularly updated us by text to let us know that pup was doing well and that they were having a great time. 5 stars all-around and will DEFINITELY hire again!!! Thanks Lynae!!”
About: Hello. I am a graduate student currently attending CSU Long Beach and I am looking to make some extra money while doing something I love, hanging out with animals. I grew up with many animals my whole life and currently dog sit for my partner's family dog any time they are out of town. I currently am attending graduate school and only have classes a few days a week. I am working part time currently, however I am looking to use any extra hours I have being productive. I will ensure that your pet gets bathroom breaks as often as necessary, walks when needed, and lots of attention. I am able to accommodate to specific meal regimens and meet special requests.
About: What sets me apart as a dog sitter is my patience, reliability, and genuine love for animals.I have no problem training young dogs and looking after older dogs since I know the proper way of doing both things. I have handled pit bulls before due to my grandpa’s experience in teaching me that these dogs can be very loving and obedient when cared for accordingly. I’m working part-time on the weekends so my weekdays are pretty empty. I do have an hour lecture on Tuesday and Thursday at 11am, but besides that I’m free for walks and cuddles. Yes even just potty breaks. I usually go with the environment the animal is comfortable with so my house bookings are open. But I don’t mind walking animals. I make sure to come prepared with essential for walks (poo baggies, water and portable cups, snacks etc.)
“Maria was great when she watched our baby! She sent a ton of pictures and checked in a lot. She was even extremely flexible when we were running a little behind schedule. She’s watched our girl multiple times and would definitely have her pet sit again!”

“Once again Cassandra was excellent. She is on top of her game. My dogs love her and she treated them with kindness and great care. She is receptive to my worries about leaving my dogs by frequently sending pictures and providing updates. We just love her.”

“Sarah did a really great job and I can tell she loves animals! She kept me informed and put my mind at ease. We will definitely want to have her pet sit for us in the future!”

“I highly recommend Brionna to house sit. When we first met them, they came with a list of questions to help understand all of the animals AND came back for a second meet and greet to get reacquainted. We got daily updates about our 3 animals and pictures every day. They even got our dog a Christmas present. We will absolutely rebook Brionna again.”

About: Hi ! My name is Tylani and I have a 12yo pitbull, Luna, 2yo Mastiff, Cowboy, and a 8mo Kitty, YíngYíng. I have been around animals my whole life and there’s nothing I love more ! I don’t claim to be a trainer or animal communicator, but, I have trained myself to be understanding and listening to what they want most. Maybe it’s space, sunbathing, or sometimes it’s a snack ! I want them to know I’m the one watching out for them :) so our fur babies don’t need to worry ! I currently work part-time and have open availability during the day and most nights. Whether they need a walk while you’re at work or coming home late, to schedules or last minute. I have a fenced yard and my dog loves to play or relax, depending on your dog’s needs. There is a park walking distance from me which we frequent often.
“Nicole was very attentive to my pups needs. She did a wonderful job going above & beyond while staying in our home. She sent us daily photos & updates which we really appreciated. My pup was very comfortable with her because he normally doesn't want to eat when we are away and he did with her. We would highly recommend Nicole.”

“Katherine saved me after I was having issues with another sitter! She took great care of Lexi and my home and checked in often! I hope to work with her again soon!”

About: I care for my elderly rescued bird, an elderly Yorkie, and have owned a mouse for 4 years past its life expectancy. My child hood dog, a miniature pinscher lived till 21 years old. I also grew up spending my summers at horse camp which taught me how to give an animal space and read their emotions: if they need water or attention for example. I recently quit my job to focus writing. Looking for a job for my in-between stage. Excited to pass the time with caring for someone’s animal. You can trust me to give your pet space and attention when appropriate. I am okay with cameras on in the house if needed or any other precautionary measure that ensures my clients respect to their household and pets safety
North Long Beach pet parents share their Rover experiences
Jasmine was amazing with Penny. She always gave me updates with pictures which made me feel at ease while away. She was very attentive to Pennys needs and kept her routine very comfortable and consistent. I also enjoyed that Jasmine played and walked Penny daily. She’s awesome! 😊

I cannot thank Laura enough for the care she gave to our pets and home. She is so friendly and caring. Knowing that she was watching my two large dogs (one of them being reactive) set me so at ease. I would trust her again and again with watching my babies. She also was very respectful of our home and cleaned before leaving. 10/10!

Amazing! Joanna was very communicative, asked all the “right” questions about our puppy and puppy’s needs. Great on reporting details which is important as we, doggy parents, are trying to navigate routines etc with our puppy. Very personal and helpful. We will definitely be seeking her again for future puppy-sitting 🐶.

Diane is awesome!! She communicates very well and responded to all messages and text mails quickly. She was very punctual and She sent pictures and updates about Frito every day. I returned home to a clean home and a very happy Frito. I would definitely hire Diane to dog sit again in the future.

Lorretta was great! We needed a sitter last-minute do to our previous sitter being unavailable. Lorretta lived nearby, so she was able to visit on a consistent schedule and give our dog and cat a sense of normalcy while we were gone. Good communicator and good picture/video taker!

****** Us: helicopter dog parents with one little dog and one big dog anxious to leave our babies with someone we didn't know. (Enter Sophia) She came over to our place to get to know our girls and chatted with us and answered all our questions and alleviated our concerns. She came over early the day we left for a 7 day trip and walked the girls with us. She stayed at our house and took excellent care of our babies. Always sending us pictures and updates as we requested. We have already booked her again. I would recommend Sophia to my friends and family. She is an exceptional dog whisperer!

Kristina was very communicative before and during her time with Riley. She followed instructions and made my anxious dog feel comfortable and happy. She saw Riley wanting to follow me out and was quick and proactive to distract her with treats while I left. I will definitely be using her again.

I’m grateful! I was instantly comfortable with Sophie! She was confident, which I find important when caring for my fur baby n grand pup! She kindly listen and follow through with whatever I asked! I certainly hope to be able to book her again before summer’s end! Most importantly, I could tell Butta & Chip liked Sophie too!

Brianna did really well for us being her first clients. My Doberman Nova isn’t normally a people dog and she jumped right onto her and let her pet her right away. We did a house sitting with Brianna and she did really good and cleaned up after herself and Nova. I would say there were a few personal kinks to work out with late time bookings but overall I would recommend her especially with her availability for last minute visits!

Grisel stayed with our fur babies for 2 nights and was terrific with them. We have six cats and an old dog, so she had her hands full. She kept us updated throughout her stay by sending pictures, which eased our minds while we were away. We can't recommend her enough!
