About: Hi! I’m McKinsey, I live in okc but am willing to travel to surrounding areas. I have experience caring for dogs and cats for about 5 years now (including some with health problems). I love animals and getting to love on and create safe, warm and caring environments for your pets while their parents are away. My schedule can vary depending on the week. If you reach out in advance there’s a greater likelihood that I can care for your pet(s). Depending on what day and time I may be able to do last minute scheduling as well. Feel free to reach out to ask any questions! I currently live with roommates who both have dogs but they are both friendly. So I am happy board any pets who get along with other dogs. I’m happy to chat about it and make sure it’s a good fit.

I’ve been using Morgan for almost 2 weeks and I love her. She sends photos and videos and even does things that are not required of her (like topping off water and saying hi to the cats). I know my pup is in good hands with her and even though shes only there for the dog, she will always say hi to the cats and let me know they are okay. I highly recommend her!

About: I’ve been a foster dog parent for years. I’m extremely comfortable with dogs of all types. I take genuine pleasure in getting dogs active and making them happy! I have free time everyday, and I want to spend my days taking care of dogs! It’s something I’ve done in the past and I want to spend my time this way now. I personally have 2 big dogs, so taking care of dogs daily is already part of my schedule. I feel like taking care of other’s pets requires similar skills, and being a great listener on how to provide the best service for them!

Whitney was very kind and not awkward at all! She really went out of her way to make my dog feel okay when she came into our home. She made sure he pooped before dropping him off (a huge priority of mine), and left cute notes in the app. Highly recommend for someone looking for a kind dog walker!

Emerson has truly made a difference in my dogs life as well as her humans! She is a 6 year old Australian Shepard. We have had some changes in work schedules over the last couple years and I had slowly started to see changes in her that were not positive. She has always been protective of her mom but her anxiety was making it hard for her to listen when she was in a certain state of mind. He came in and helped teach me the tools I needed to help put her focus on things other than what is causing her to work herself up to a nip. She is a smart dog, I just needed help understanding her more. Theses tools will forever make a difference in our home & I am grateful! 10000% give him a chance, he is great He walks her weekly too & she may be protective of her home but he handles her so well.

About: I'm thorough, quick to learn, and have a calm presence that pets are very responsive to. My mom is a vet tech so I've had plenty of foster babies both young and old, healthy or not so much, this means I'm not afraid of any extenuating circumstances you may have with your pets. Oral medications, topicals and even injections are no problem. I'm happy to be there for your extra special pet. I am not working full-time right now so I am available all day for you and your pets. I do have a couple of regular walks during the week but not too much. I have pets of my own so I'm capable of bringing just about any supply or tool that might be needed. While I would prefer not to stay in a clients home full-time I would be willing to make arrangements for pets that need it as I have a disabled pet of my own and understand the need for more thorough attention to these animals. In my home, I'm capable of housing a free roaming dog that is friendly with other animals (cats and dogs) or a dog that requires some light crating. I have a full sized dog crate in my home for my dog when he needs it and a couple more in storage as well as an outdoor kennel and two decently-sized fenced yards.

Pineapple adored Sarah. He couldn't wait for his walk with her everyday. She always sent pics and played with him in our yard. She always updated me on when he went number 1 and 2 (helpful because he isn't regular) and even updated me on the cat. I'm reluctant to leave this review as selfishly I don't want her to get all booked up!

  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
