“I’m so glad I found Melissa! She walks my girl Betty each week on long days while I’m at work! She is so sweet and patient with Betty. Melissa helps give me peace of mind while I’m at work that Betty is getting positive attention and exercise. I appreciate her so much!”

About: My family has owned animals since before I was born, always multiple at a time. I love playing with my dogs and cat, as well as taking care of them and watching them when my folks go on vacation. I have two great Danes, two Boston terriers, and a kitty cat at home! I am outgoing, responsible, and determined! I would love to help out in your house. I am currently in the process of interviewing for summer jobs, so my schedule is very available until further notice. I am very flexible with the proper notice. I care for my pets by playing with them, walking them, and just making sure their general needs are met and exceeded. I love my animals so much, and I love pampering them.
“I’ve been using Morgan for almost 2 weeks and I love her. She sends photos and videos and even does things that are not required of her (like topping off water and saying hi to the cats). I know my pup is in good hands with her and even though shes only there for the dog, she will always say hi to the cats and let me know they are okay. I highly recommend her!”

“Whitney was very kind and not awkward at all! She really went out of her way to make my dog feel okay when she came into our home. She made sure he pooped before dropping him off (a huge priority of mine), and left cute notes in the app. Highly recommend for someone looking for a kind dog walker!”

“Kat is great, my husband and I have used her a lot this past month! We needed more of a long term plan with making sure our dog Koda who is a Pomeranian gets out for a walk with our busy work schedules. For us, our dog is like our child, and means everything to us, it’s hard for us to be trusting of not only someone coming into our home, but also taking care of our dog. So I had to do my research and find someone! Luckily I found Kat! We got to do a meet and greet first and I loved her positive energy and hearing about her experience. The rest is history because I’ve booked with her ever since and will keep on! She’s great with our dog, very respectful of our home, she even sends lots of pictures which is comforting to see that your dog is being well treated and loved! If your on the fence, I can definitely say Kat is wonderful and will treat your dog as her own. Here’s the sign you needed to book with her! :)”

About: I’ve been a foster dog parent for years. I’m extremely comfortable with dogs of all types. I take genuine pleasure in getting dogs active and making them happy! I have free time everyday, and I want to spend my days taking care of dogs! It’s something I’ve done in the past and I want to spend my time this way now. I personally have 2 big dogs, so taking care of dogs daily is already part of my schedule. I feel like taking care of other’s pets requires similar skills, and being a great listener on how to provide the best service for them!
About: Hi, I’m Alexys! I’ve been around animals all my life. All different sorts of animals, breeds, and sizes. Even taking part in caring for animals from a young age. I enjoy nothing more than being around and caring for pets. I’m currently attending school online, so my schedule is flexible. I can check in on pets multiple times a day, or longer periods of time. I have experience handling pets from very small to large, and from 3 days old to elderly. I’m comfortable with handling large and playful animals, and cleaning up messes.
About: I'm thorough, quick to learn, and have a calm presence that pets are very responsive to. My mom is a vet tech so I've had plenty of foster babies both young and old, healthy or not so much, this means I'm not afraid of any extenuating circumstances you may have with your pets. Oral medications, topicals and even injections are no problem. I'm happy to be there for your extra special pet. I am not working full-time right now so I am available all day for you and your pets. I do have a couple of regular walks during the week but not too much. I have pets of my own so I'm capable of bringing just about any supply or tool that might be needed. While I would prefer not to stay in a clients home full-time I would be willing to make arrangements for pets that need it as I have a disabled pet of my own and understand the need for more thorough attention to these animals. In my home, I'm capable of housing a free roaming dog that is friendly with other animals (cats and dogs) or a dog that requires some light crating. I have a full sized dog crate in my home for my dog when he needs it and a couple more in storage as well as an outdoor kennel and two decently-sized fenced yards.

About: I've taken care of dogs and cats since I was 12. I have my own cat and dog, so I have experience training and playing with both types of animals! I do not work at the moment, so I can watch your pets any day of the week. I'm willing to have short notice bookings as well! I can come to your house and take your dogs on walks, do feedings, play for any amount of time with your animals, and ensure you that your pets are taken care of! I also have a fenced in yard at my house so I can have your pets over.

About: I have taken care of pets since a very young age. I grew up on a farm and have experience with all types and ages of animals. Neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to care for their pets. I always strive to care for anyone’s fur babies as if they are my own! I have experience with young and senior pets, medication administration and daily schedules. I understand that each pet is unique and I aim to deliver personalized care that meets their individual needs. I am well versed in handling various breeds and temperaments. I strive to provide flexible scheduling to accommodate busy life schedules. Whether it’s a last minute trip or regular walking schedule. I provide daily updates and photos so you can rest assured your pet or pets are well cared for. Please let me know your step by step care instructions to provide the best care for your pets. I currently work in the school districts so I have plenty of time during after school hours, weekends, and in the summer to care for your pets! I strive to adhere to pet owner’s routines and safety precautions used. I want to ensure both parties are on the same page so it is always a safe environment for pets and people.
About: I have had experience caring for pets since I was 7 years old. I have had a range of animals in my care: golden retrievers, chihuahuas, dachshunds, pit bulls, quarter horses, cattle, and a variety of cats. I am a very patient animal person and I really enjoy getting to know each animal for their own preferences and personalities! I regularly take my own dog, a 4 year old Staffordshire Terrier, on 3 walks a day at around 30-45 minutes each time. Her name is Nova and she is a very easygoing pup, and the apple of my eye!! We have a harmonious and loving home and I would treat anyone's pet with as much care and attention as I do with my own. I currently work part time, so I can dog walk almost any time as long as it doesn’t interfere with the rock-climbing classes that I teach during the week and on weekend mornings! I have lots of experience in doing drop-in visits in my child and teenage years, so I like to do long check-ins that range from 30 minutes to an hour for activity, meal time, and cuddling.
About: Hi! I’m McKinsey, I live in okc but am willing to travel to surrounding areas. I have experience caring for dogs and cats for about 5 years now (including some with health problems). I love animals and getting to love on and create safe, warm and caring environments for your pets while their parents are away. My schedule can vary depending on the week. If you reach out in advance there’s a greater likelihood that I can care for your pet(s). Depending on what day and time I may be able to do last minute scheduling as well. Feel free to reach out to ask any questions! I currently live with roommates who both have dogs but they are both friendly. So I am happy board any pets who get along with other dogs. I’m happy to chat about it and make sure it’s a good fit.
“Katie was so wonderful, she took great care of Bo and Dom on extremely short notice after a last minute flight mishap. She sent lots of pictures, was very responsive, and made sure they were fed and had water. Would highly recommend her!”

Pineapple adored Sarah. He couldn't wait for his walk with her everyday. She always sent pics and played with him in our yard. She always updated me on when he went number 1 and 2 (helpful because he isn't regular) and even updated me on the cat. I'm reluctant to leave this review as selfishly I don't want her to get all booked up!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
