“Sherry was a wonderful sitter for our Labradoodle! She met us twice before our dog’s first stay so our dog could get comfortable with her and her home prior to being left in a new place. She was so friendly and accommodating and took our dog for regular walks in the park near her house. She also sent us daily pictures and updates about all the fun they were having together, which were reassuring while we were away. Would absolutely recommend Sherry and would would certainly use her services again!”

“Janelle and her family were wonderful caretakes of our puppy. She is very attentive to his needs and gave him a lot of attention and love. He is very happy there and we would highly recommend Janelle!”

“Jennifer and her family took exceptional care of our dog, Matilda. They took their time to allow Matilda to acclimate to their home, while sending updates and pictures throughout the day. This was our first time leaving Matilda with a non family member and I couldn’t be more pleased. It took a lot of stress away knowing she was in such good hands. I would highly recommend Jennifer to watch your furry member of the family.”

Whether you’re away for a day or a week, you can rest easy knowing your dog is in trusted hands, getting belly rubs, playtime, and the personal attention they deserve. Because peace of mind isn’t a luxury — it’s a promise. Consider me as your on-call pet sitter. I have currently moved to California all the way from the east coast. Whenever you need me, I’m here ! How I Care for Pets in Your Home – With Safety, Trust, and Comfort at the Heart of It All When I care for your pets, whether I’m house sitting, walking them, or simply dropping in, their safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always prioritize secure leash handling, water breaks, and positive reinforcement. Your trust means everything to me, and I care for your pets and home with professionalism, love, and integrity.
“I'm so happy I found Angela (khanh) and Tommy before traveling halfway around the globe. After our meet and greet I knew I could relax on vacation knowing my pup was in good hands. Angela has that motherly instinct for all dogs big and small, and Tommy is an experienced dog groomer. I got picture and video updates everyday, I felt like my dog was at summer camp and she would never want to come home! I know she got lots of love and exercise and she will be coming back again.”

About: I have experience with animals who have special needs. It can be stressful thinking about leaving your pet. Especially if they are on a special diet or in need of medication. I know how important this is to follow. I work full time with 2 days off a week. However, I live just 10 minutes away from work. I am able to check on your pet during my lunch break. I only take one animal in at a time, unless they are from the same household. I live in a condo. We have plenty of sidewalks and grass areas to walk your fur baby. I will make sure they have their feedings, and leave out water during the day. We will watch TV together in the evening. At bedtime I allow the animal to sleep in bed with me. I want your pet to feel like this is their second home.
“My dog, Atticus, age 2, had his first full day with Margaret a few days ago. He was very well taken care of including a couple of walks. He was happy to play fetch and take naps after walking. It was easy to tell by his face and composure that he had a great day...there was no visible stress when he returned home. Another dependable companion 'star' in his young life when I am not around! Many thanks, M :)”

“Our two dogs had a great 4-night stay with Lisa! She listened carefully to the special instructions for our larger, anxious dog. Both pups were calm and happy during their stay. Nice location in a quiet, convenient spot with large house and yard.”

“Mari watched achy for 5 days and I’m very glad I left him with her she updated me on achy, was communicative through the entire time. I was nervous as this was his first time but he looked very happy and enjoyed his time with her and her 2 dogs! Happy that I chose Maria! Thank you!”

“Ricky and his family provide the best care for my girls! They are extremely loving, caring and flexible! I am so appreciative always for the love they give my girls! ❤️🐾”

“Ariadne was great! She has a beautiful, clean and well organized home and I could tell she really loves animals. I got lots of pictures while I was away and my dog looked great when I picked her up. Ariadne is also very sweet and likable. I highly recommend her!”

“Rocky had a great stay with Kevin and Brian! He came home nice and tired from all his playing and he was cared for well! This was our second time with Kevin and Brian and we recommend them for any of your fur babies!”

“We feel so lucky to have found Katie! She watched Mac for 3 nights and was incredibly flexible and communicative. She was accommodating of our rather last minute request and returned Mac happy and exhausted. Her house is clean and so well-equipped for a big mischievous puppy like Mac. We will absolutely be booking with her again!”

“Elizabeth took care of our two (pandemic) rescue mini-schnauzers...needless to say our doggies aren't very social but she was kind and patient making sure they felt safe and at home while we were away. We were very stressed as Luca and Kona had never been boarded away from home before, but Elizabeth made sure she created a very comfortable space for our babies. I cannot recommend Elizabeth enough!!! Especially for those of you who may have babies that are not very social or apt to being around other dogs. Elizabeth's constant updates (pictures and videos) provided us with a sense of comfort and security knowing that our babies were in good hands. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Elizabeth and will definitely book her services again in the future.”

“Joshua and Jamie were absolutely amazing with our dogs! They cared for our boys like they were their own family! We were kept updated in regard to some complicated health issues our senior dogs are going through and they managed their medication routine very professionally. They also sent us cute pictures and videos of our boys playing with their dogs and it made us feel like we weren’t so far away :) We wish there were more stars for us to rate with and very, very highly recommend them!”

Noel and his family were absolutely incredible! With two senior dogs, one of them having recent health challenges, we had a few big asks with medication administration and attentiveness. Noel, his wife, and his son took great care of our pups and updated us thoroughly throughout the weekend to give us peace of mind. We’re so grateful!!

I highly recommend Klaudia. She did a great job with our dog, Macy. Klaudia has a kind family and two sweet dogs of her own. She sent several pictures, which I loved. I could tell our dog was comfortable and happy with Klaudia. I was worried Macy may not want to come home with us! We will definitely be coming back in the future.

Careen was absolutely wonderful with Cooper. She was responsive, flexible, and so loving throughout his stay. The photos she sent made it clear he was having the best time — tons of outdoor adventures and plenty of cozy indoor snuggles. Cooper came home happy and relaxed, and I know he can’t wait for his next visit with her. Highly recommend!

Chris and Fernanda took such great care of our mini goldendoodle Eevee. Eevee felt comfortable with the whole family and their son Luke right away. They also sent lots of photos and updates. We’re so glad to have been able to find them for a last minute trip and would highly recommend !

Rumi is our go to every time! Sky loves going to their house and he is always so happy when I pick him up. I can tell he is treated like one of the family and I always feel at peace when he is there. Thank you again Rumi & family for providing such a lovely stay for Sky and being so accommodating 🙏🙏

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
