About: I’m a reliable and confident pet sitter. I love the days I get to spend with dogs, cats, and other animals. I have plenty of experience with animals with different temperaments, sizes, and medical issues. I understand each animal has its own routine. I am dedicated to following each animal's unique routine to make their days as stress free as possible. I have had dogs and rodents my entire life, but have plenty of experience with other animals such as cats, chickens, pigs, goats, horses, and fish. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, and overnight stays in your home. I share updates and photos daily. My ultimate goal is to provide your pets with the best care possible and for you to feel comfortable and confident when you are away from them. I pet sit full time. I am available every day of the week at anytime. I always do a house visit beforehand so your pet can become familiar with me. I understand each animal has its own routine. I am dedicated to following each animal's unique routine to make their days as stress free as possible. I share updates and photos daily. My ultimate goal is to provide your pets with the best care possible and for you to feel comfortable and confident when you are away from them.

“Lauren has stayed with our 3 dogs and 1 cat several times. They love her. This time we were out of the country for 2 weeks, a first for us. Lauren stayed at our house, took care of our babies and kept us informed. It is great to be able to leave for that long, enjoy our vacation and not feel too guilty about leaving them behind. We will always book with Lauren when she is available.”
“Jenni was on time, communication was great, and after my return, my pets demeanor indicated that they had been well cared for and played with during my absence. Flexible with her time while still maintaining the routine, Jenni was gentle and kind in our meeting and while updating me throughout her stay. My house was also well cared for and all in its place and clean! I will look to availability to book with her again.”

“Bonnie was absolutely wonderful with our dog Bruno, and we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Before the booking, Bonnie took the time to come over for a meet and greet so we could go through Bruno’s routine, needs, and any special instructions. That immediately gave us confidence that Bruno would be in great hands. While we were away, Bonnie sent thoughtful updates throughout the day, which we really appreciated. She was a fantastic communicator, prompt, reliable, and very attentive. She took Bruno on a nice long walk, and the sweetest surprise was when she gave him a little St. Patrick’s Day scarf. It was adorable and showed just how much care she puts into the dogs she looks after. When we returned home, she had also left a lovely “thank you for choosing me to look after Bruno” card along with special treats for him. Such a thoughtful touch. Bonnie was incredibly gentle, kind, and clearly loves what she does. We completely trust her with both our dog and our home, and we would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and dependable sitter. Thank you again, Bonnie, Bruno already misses you! 🐾”

“Gabby was great. She hung out with my three dogs and two cats for several hours. They had only met her one time prior, so I wasn’t sure how they were going to respond. They were all cuddling in no time. I had total peace of mind while Gabby was here. She’s trustworthy and she kept me up-to-date with photos! It took me a long time to pull the trigger with Rover, I wish I would’ve done it sooner. Thank you Gabby!”

About: I’ve always loved animals and owned dogs! I adopted my puppy from Puerto Rico 17 mos ago after seeing the homeless stray cat/ dog crisis while on vacation. He is my buddy and companion. I currently dog sit for family and friends. I have a pretty flexible schedule working from home so I can take breaks as needed. I feel lucky to be home with my pet every day. My home is near walking paths and parks to conveniently walk the dogs. I also have a large dog crate if needed. I typically walk my dog 2x per day.
About: I have worked in the veterinary medical field for 6+ years and have thousands of hours of experience as a veterinary assistant. I am comfortable with all types of dogs and cats, with all different personalities- that’s what makes them all unique and I love it! I am currently very flexible with my weekly routine and I am more than happy to meet with you beforehand if you feel more comfortable. As an avid cat owner, I have Toulouse naturally leash-trained. I have an enclosure for him so he can enjoy the outside, while also being safe. At clients’ homes, I follow all instructions to make sure the pet is safe. I also will make sure the pet is always in my sight if outside.
About: Although I've never owned a dog, I have watched plenty for my friends and family. I love caring for dogs because there is never a dull moment. I'm a big walker, and I love when I dog sit and get some company on my walks. I am currently a full time student, with most of my classes being in the late afternoon/ early evening. With that being said, most mornings I am available. Cats don't require quite the same amount of attention as dogs, so I can always stop in to check on them before and after my class during the evening if needed. I treat every home I care for — including my own — like a safe, calm space for pets. At my place, my four cats have a predictable routine with plenty of food, water, litter boxes, and quiet spaces to retreat to. I pay close attention to their behavior, making sure everyone is comfortable, calm, and happy. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their instructions closely and respect the environment they’re used to. I keep their space tidy, maintain their usual routines, and ensure they have everything they need to feel safe — whether that’s food, water, clean litter boxes, or quiet corners to relax. I also observe interactions and personalities, adjusting my approach to match each pet’s comfort level. Updates and photos are part of my care so owners can feel confident that their pets are happy and secure.
About: I’ve grown up surrounded by dogs and cats my entire life, so caring for animals feels completely natural to me. From playful puppies and curious kittens to older pets who need extra patience and comfort, I’ve seen it all. Because I’ve lived with animals for as long as I can remember, I’m great at understanding their body language, routines, and what helps them feel safe. I know how to handle different personalities—shy, energetic, cuddly, or independent—and I always adjust to what each pet needs. I treat every pet like family, because that’s how I was raised to care for mine. Your pets will get the same love, attention, and respect I give my own. As a college student, pet care fits really well into my daily and weekly routine. I’m always looking for fun and meaningful ways to make money, and spending time with animals is something I genuinely enjoy. Taking care of pets doesn’t feel like work to me—it’s something I look forward to. I’m used to building my schedule around classes and responsibilities, so I’m reliable with feeding times, walks, playtime, and any specific routines a pet needs. Helping care for animals is a great balance to school life and something I’m happy to make time for! When I’m caring for pets—whether in my home or at a client’s—I always focus on safety, comfort, and consistency. I make sure pets are in a secure environment, keep doors and gates closed, and follow any routines or rules you already have in place. I take the time to learn each pet’s personality, signals, and comfort levels so they feel safe around me. I keep their routines familiar—walks, feeding times, play, and quiet time—and I always keep a close eye on them to make sure they’re happy and relaxed. My goal is to create a calm, trusting environment where your pet feels cared for, understood, and completely safe while you’re away.
“Excellent care and communication while we traveled internationally. The daily photos were a huge amount of comfort while away. The pets seemed very happy. Would definitely book again!”

“Jamie was great! She offered a meet and greet prior to the actual date needed. She provided update pictures throughout the visit. She was willing to work with me on an appropriate schedule time for the start and end time. Will definitely use in the future! Thanks again!”

“We found Lizz when we had a sitter cancel at the last minute due to a family emergency. In a panic, I found Lizz and she was extremely responsive and came to sit for our boys a few days after I contacted her. Would recommend her for any pet sitting. Thanks Lizz!”
About: I’ve animal sat for lots of family & friends, I have animal sat snakes, chinchillas, cats, dogs, guinea pigs, fish, and lizards! I love all animals, and even if I haven’t taken care of a certain animal, I am willing to educate myself on how to take care of them. I do currently work full time and go to school part time. I’m available on weekends at any time, during the weekdays I’m available before 2:30 and after 11pm I’ll always be outside with a dog when it comes to using the restroom just to make sure nothing happens, if your dog isn’t good with other dogs I’ll ensure that we go to the park when there’s no other dogs, or if I’m walking and another dog is coming I’ll just go to the other side of the sidewalk.
“Christina was amazing! She was so patient with my dog, George. He’s not used to new people around but he took to Christina very quickly. She sent pics, videos and updates the entire time. I felt so comfortable having her stay at the house with our baby. I will definitely book Christina again.”

“We wholeheartedly recommend Nicholas for dog sitting! He took exceptional care of our dog during the week we were away. We were so impressed with his dedication to ensuring all of her needs were met. He diligently walked her for a full hour each day, made sure she had plenty of food and water, and was consistent with her potty breaks. What we appreciated most was the time Nicholas spent at our house, providing our dog with the companionship she needed. It gave us such peace of mind knowing she wasn't just being cared for, but also had someone there with her. We will absolutely be hiring Nicholas again in the future!”

Sierra did a wonderful job taking care of our Winston. She was professional and we felt safe that Winston was in great care. We have a doggie cam, so we could see Winston with Sierra together playing. I would recommend her and will use her the next time we go out of town.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred New Baltimore walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in New Baltimore maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in New Baltimore choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
