“Chelsea was absolutely amazing! Her patience, kindness, and genuine care for my big 70 baby truly meant the world to me! She just has this calming presence which was great for my girl! She went above and beyond to make sure she felt comfortable, loved, and safe while I was away. It’s not easy handling a large pup that came from a broken environment but she handled everything with such calm confidence and compassion. I’m so grateful for her dedication and would 100% trust her again. Highly recommend — five stars all across the board!”

“Elizabeth and Mickey went far and beyond watching over our pups. They did so many things for them, they brushed the pups, vacuumed the dog hair, clean accidents with their own steamer. I would highly recommend them ,if you need someone to take care of your pets. They were very attentive and caring. Kept us up to date with fotos.”

“5 Stars are not enough for my review of these two. They have been an answer to our prayers for finding flexible, loving, attentive, care for our Great Dane Daisy. The videos and pics during their visit make our day!! Daisy has so much fun with them!!!”
“Kadence was great with my two cats and they seemed to miss her for a few days after I returned from my trip. One of them in particular would get very anxious around the time that she been visiting :D”

“Andrea was fantastic watching our dog while we were out of town. She is a very timely and responsive communicator and made us feel at ease knowing our dog was in good hands. We won’t hesitate to call on Andrea again next time we travel.”

“Maddison was great! She gave me so much peace of mind when I to be gone for a long time over the weekend, and gave my pup lots of needed TLC while I had to be away. So thankful for her!”

“Joanna is an absolutely amazing pet sitter! Dottie is slow to warm and took to Joanna immediately. She kept us updated with each visit - full of pictures and even a video. Joanna was great with all of the little extras we asked. She is fantastic and we will entrust our baby Dottie to her in the future!”

“Toni was so great with my 2 cats, who are already stressed at the commotion in the house as we prepare to move. It was so comforting to see their daily interaction videos, and hear her talking so sweetly to them.”

I’m gentle, reliable, and always make sure each dog feels safe, relaxed, and totally understood. Your pup will stay well fed, walked, and entertained, with playtime that matches their vibe. And of course, you’ll get plenty of cute photo updates so you can see your dog living their absolute best life. I always follow your home’s rules and routines, and I’m careful to keep doors locked, gates closed, and your pet safely inside. I double-check food, water, and any medications, and I make sure your home and your pet are secure before I leave every visit. Your peace of mind matters just as much as your pet’s comfort!
“Carolyn took awesome care of our cat while we went out of town. She gave updates and was easy to work with. Having pictures sent was a nice touch with each visit. We are new to the area so finding someone quickly that we could trust was nice!”

About: I’ve been an active professional pet sitter with 5-star reviews and references since 2019 (can provide reviews) and for more than 20 years I’ve been trusted to care for homes and beloved pets around the world. With every sit, I bring a strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and respect. I’ve also had several animals of my own over the years and genuinely love being around them — they keep me happy, playful, and young! During extended pet sits, I enjoy writing meditation music and keeping up with my online work. I’m naturally calm, clean, dependable, and tend to create a peaceful environment wherever I stay. I grew up in a small town in Louisiana and became a professional singer-songwriter after graduating from the University of New Orleans. Later in life, I spent several years living and teaching within a spiritual community before returning to a more independent and creative lifestyle. Since then, I’ve traveled the world and also founded a women’s healing community center in Lake Chapala, Mexico. These days I spend most of my time in the US, writing, playing, and recording music, exploring meaningful projects, and continuing to care for animals whenever possible. For me, animals embody pure, unconditional love, and I truly enjoy spending quality time with them. I recently moved back to the U.S. to spend more time with my aging mother, whom I’ve always been very close to. I’m looking forward to being near family again, enjoying quality time together, and reconnecting with my music and songwriting. For me, pet sitting feels like a natural extension of this time. I care for pets with a strong focus on safety, consistency, affection, and respect for their individual routines and personalities. In a client’s home, I do my best to maintain the environment and schedule their pets are already comfortable with — including feeding times, walks, medications, playtime, litter box care, and quiet companionship. I understand that animals feel safest when their routine stays familiar. I’m very attentive, clean, and respectful of both the home and the animals in my care. I pay close attention to changes in behavior, appetite, mood, or energy and communicate clearly with pet parents while they’re away. I also enjoy sending updates and photos when welcomed. I naturally create a calm, peaceful environment and genuinely enjoy spending quality time with animals rather than simply “checking in” on them. Whether a pet is energetic and playful or shy and independent, I adapt to their needs and comfort level with patience and care.
“Mary is a great communicator and lover of dogs. She’s taken care of my Boone several times when we’ve been out of town and she is always super kind to share pictures and notes about their visit, and goes above and beyond to water plants and bring in the mail. We will continue to use her whenever she’s available!”

About: I started pet sitting (along with babysitting a & housesitting) a few summers ago, and recently picked it up again along with working as a kennel tech full time. I’ve had countless years of experience caring for animals, including my own and multiple regulars! My career revolves around caring for people’s pets, and I am grateful you chose me to care for your babies! I currently work full time, but am hoping to pick up pet sitting as more of a full time job to allow myself more flexibility! I treat any animal as my own. I’ve always had a soft spot for animals and have a passion for caring for your pets the same way you do.
About: Growing up around animals has been amazing. From pet sitting, to just hanging around animals, I have fallen in love with all fur babies. I volunteer at the local animal shelter to play with dogs and cats, take them out on walks, and even go around town looking for their new forever home! During the summer, I just need a heads up and communication! I try not to work my main job on weekends, so if you need anything I’m there! I am free almost all of the time during afternoons. My schedule with school is open throughout the day! At home, I have a fenced in yard for my two dogs who love to just run or swim! The door is always open for them to come in and out.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Navarre
Abbie did an amazing job while we were away for a long weekend! Our cat Julien is usually very shy, but he quickly warmed up to Abbie, which says a lot about her experience working with new pets. She followed our instructions closely and provided a status update and pictures during each visit. She also went above and beyond to briefly meet Jules (and us) in advance! We will definitely work with Abbie again in the future.

Maria is an excellent pet sitter! She is so conscientious, always coming at the appointed times and taking great care to feed, water, and (in my case) scoop the litter. She would take wonderful photos of my cats so I'd know they were alright. After a day away, I could see my cats literally warming up to her by rubbing up against her in the photos. Maria has a kind heart for sure. You won't be disappointed.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Navarre. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
