“Eliana was GREAT from start to finish! She was readily in communication with me, always punctual and responsible, creative with the care of my two dogs and MOST OF ALL my dogs were SUPER content when I returned from a four day trip - the #1 indicator (to me) of an exceptional sitter! I rate Eliana a 10/10 and intend to keep her hired on as my dog sitter.”

“Ricki was FANTASTIC with our Zoey girl! She housesat for four nights and was flexible enough to stay an extra night due to a travel delay. We received frequent updates and fantastic communication before, during, and after the houseit. Ricki was very respectful of our home and left it probably tidier than when she arrived. I will definitely book Ricki in the future. ❤️”

“Katrina was so great at communicating with us and providing pictures to help ease our minds while out of town. She was very respectful of our space and left it cleaner than she found it. Will absolutely utilize her again for future house sitting needs.”

“Joshua is the best!!! He was available to watch my two pups on short notice. Took excellent care of them, and they were happy and comforted while I was away. I highly recommend him!!!!”

About: If I can train my cat to play fetch like my dog, then I'm your huckleberry!! I have years of customer service so a great match for the owner as well as loving any animal. Trusted to watch family zoo which includes a rabbit, a mouse and three dogs(all different sizes). I'm currently looking for work, so my schedule is more available to spend time with your pets. Stay on schedule and multiple pets to feed (and different diets) with a little wiggle room for life to happen. One of my pets has a special need for food which requires separate feedings and I take direction well. Whatever the need is communication is the key to any success, for me, you and the pets!!
“We couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter! Christian was extremely communicative throughout our time away, sending regular updates and photos. He took great care of our dogs, walked them, and even played with the flirt pole, keeping them happy and active. He’s especially great with big breeds, handling them with ease and confidence. We felt completely confident leaving our pets in his care and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, caring sitter.”

“Joy was wonderful! It is clear she has a passion for all animals. I booked her for house sitting in my home for 5 days and I didn’t have to worry about a thing. My two dogs are both bully breeds and can sometimes be a little more difficult but Joy did perfect! During our meet and greet she was very friendly and respectful, and took diligent notes on each of the dogs preferences as well as any preferences I had for them and my home. She played with them and exercised them daily, and made sure they were both loved up on just the way each of them likes while I was away. Each dog has a very different personality and she catered to each of their individual personalities and preferences so they could remain stress free while I was away. She was very communicative and responded right away if I needed to get ahold of her or had any questions at all. She sent me lots of pictures at my request as well so I didn’t have to miss my sweet fur babies as much. When I arrived home my dogs were happy, well taken care of and fed. My home was clean and well taken care of as well. We will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Bethany was absolutely amazing with all 3 of our girls who have different personalities. She was able to adjust and meet the needs of each fur baby. I checked on the girls halfway through our trip and Bethany gave me a good report with pictures. She was very respectful of our home.”

I’ve had multiple pets in my house growing up ranging from Maltese to Dalmatians.I’ve also had experience dog walking and house sitting cats and dogs for multiple years. I’m more than capable to not only do tasks for your pet but actually care about them too! Each animal has their own set of needs and I believe in ensuring every ones needs are more than met . Im currently working remotely and live a very active lifestyle, I walk everywhere and have lots of downtown due to my job in real estate. I can care for your pet in your home, I treat all animals as if they were my own. Your pet will have optimal safety and overall a great time.
“Jo is the best! Our dogs love her, and she treats them like her own. She plays with them a ton and even brought over a puzzle toy for them to try. We never have to worry when she’s watching our pups.”

About: We started this as a summer job that we thought would be fun - well, we are still having fun! My husband and I have been raised with dogs and want the same for our kids!. When your dog comes to our home, they become a part of the family! Drop-ins are the same. It’s important to us that we meet our pups and parents to make sure it’s a good fit for all because we understand how unsettling it can be to be separated from them. Mickey and I have a solid understanding and respect for dog instincts and behaviors and enjoy all breeds. We have two children (one who is a future pet sitter, herself) and they love having furry friends over! We have a 4 year old Lemon Beagle named Rosie and she enjoy visitors as well! We have a huge fenced-in backyard with lots of things to smell and explore! I work as a school teacher and my husband works at home. My work hours end pretty early and this also allows us to have weekends and most holidays free. But someone is almost always home. We will have open hours for most of June-August :-) As mentioned, we have a big, fenced-in yard and a very pet friendly home. If your dog is primarily an indoor dog, we will only take them out for walks, play, and potty! When your pet is in our care, they become one of our family members - lots of conversations, hugs and belly rubs, and exercise!

About: I started pet sitting (along with babysitting a & housesitting) a few summers ago, and recently picked it up again along with working as a kennel tech full time. I’ve had countless years of experience caring for animals, including my own and multiple regulars! My career revolves around caring for people’s pets, and I am grateful you chose me to care for your babies! I currently work full time, but am hoping to pick up pet sitting as more of a full time job to allow myself more flexibility! I treat any animal as my own. I’ve always had a soft spot for animals and have a passion for caring for your pets the same way you do.
“Lisa was an absolute pleasure and we will absolutely be booking with her again! She made my furbaby feel like a princess and it was amazing being away without having to worry about her. I felt super at-ease the whole time and loved the messages and pictures she sent. Lisa is a gem and I’m thrilled I found her.”

“Megan was awesome! We’ve had her watch our pups 3 times over the past two months staying at our house and she’s been great. Taking care of our house as well. She’s very communicative and willing to do extra if need be. Our dogs and cats loved her. We will definitely be reaching out to Megan again to watch our pups. Thanks so much Megan!”

“This was my first time leaving my kitty alone and he made me feel so comfortable! I was updated regularity with pictures, his communication was great, and he was able to give my baby medicine no problem. I also came home to a clean house after he house sat. Communication was great and I will definitely rebook next time I need a sitter!”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and have years of hands-on experience caring for pets of different sizes, ages, and personalities. I’ve personally owned pitbull breeds, so I’m very comfortable handling strong, high-energy dogs, but I also have experience with small breeds and cats as well. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your animals. I’m reliable, patient, active, and genuinely enjoy spending time with pets whether that means walks, playtime, feeding, medication routines, or just keeping them company. My military background has also made me very responsible, organized, and dependable, so you can feel confident your pets will be safe, cared for, and treated like family with me. I currently have a very flexible schedule and a lot of availability throughout the week. I recently graduated college and am waiting to begin active duty military service, so right now I’m doing side work and pet sitting for extra income while I prepare for that transition. Since I’m living with my sister and have fewer day-to-day obligations, I’m able to dedicate plenty of time and attention to pet care, walks, playtime, check-ins, and keeping pets company. I’m available most weekdays, weekends, and holidays with flexible hours. I treat every pet like they’re my own and always prioritize safety, consistency, and comfort. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, walking routines, and any specific care requests from owners. I have experience with both large and small dog breeds, including pitbulls, as well as cats, so I’m comfortable handling different temperaments and energy levels.

Juliana was nice to come and meet us and our pet prior to our trip. She took care of our Bella and dealt with her separation anxiety from us. From our end Juliana showed when she said she would and seemed to try and take time with our Bella. Hopefully she will still want to watch her if needed.

FAQs for House Sitting - Navarre
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Navarre on Rover is $46.4 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 708 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Navarre. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Navarre walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Navarre maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Navarre choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Navarre. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
