“Megan was awesome! We’ve had her watch our pups 3 times over the past two months staying at our house and she’s been great. Taking care of our house as well. She’s very communicative and willing to do extra if need be. Our dogs and cats loved her. We will definitely be reaching out to Megan again to watch our pups. Thanks so much Megan!”

“This is our second time using Jo, we have a 4 month old puppy so we wouldn’t leave her with just anyone. It was comforting to know we had a trustworthy friend staying in our home with our girls and she did a great job caring for them!”

“Bethany was absolutely amazing with all 3 of our girls who have different personalities. She was able to adjust and meet the needs of each fur baby. I checked on the girls halfway through our trip and Bethany gave me a good report with pictures. She was very respectful of our home.”

“Eliana was GREAT from start to finish! She was readily in communication with me, always punctual and responsible, creative with the care of my two dogs and MOST OF ALL my dogs were SUPER content when I returned from a four day trip - the #1 indicator (to me) of an exceptional sitter! I rate Eliana a 10/10 and intend to keep her hired on as my dog sitter.”

“My family and I haven't been away in a long time, largely because it's always hard to find just the right person to look after our 2 adult dogs. We found Jessica on Rover and, after an initial meet and greet, we knew she was just the right fit for our lovable Lab and anxious German Shepherd. She sent us updates and pics each day we were gone and just made it so much easier for us to be away from our fur babies. Highly recommend Jessica!”

“Katrina was so great at communicating with us and providing pictures to help ease our minds while out of town. She was very respectful of our space and left it cleaner than she found it. Will absolutely utilize her again for future house sitting needs.”

“Our puppy was VERY loved by Lydia. She sent pictures, updates, and even helped with puppy training. She left our house spotless and even washed dog blankets and her sheets! Lydia is fantastic and we are so grateful for her!”

“Once again Amber did a wonderful job with Milo. He’s so much happier and less stressed then when we boarded him. Amber and he have developed a great bond and he really enjoys it when she watches him!!”

“Came home to a clean house and happy dog , Taylor was always quick to respond and send me pictures! I felt assured that my house and dog were in amazing hands. Taylor was amazing she followed all the instructions for the care of my dog and treated the house like her own. If you’re looking for a great dog and house sitter you can rest easy knowing Taylor can do it all and most importantly make your pets feel calm and safe 🤗 if you’re needing a dog sitter or house sitter please give her a chance like I did . You won’t be disappointed.”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and have years of hands-on experience caring for pets of different sizes, ages, and personalities. I’ve personally owned pitbull breeds, so I’m very comfortable handling strong, high-energy dogs, but I also have experience with small breeds and cats as well. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your animals. I’m reliable, patient, active, and genuinely enjoy spending time with pets whether that means walks, playtime, feeding, medication routines, or just keeping them company. My military background has also made me very responsible, organized, and dependable, so you can feel confident your pets will be safe, cared for, and treated like family with me. I currently have a very flexible schedule and a lot of availability throughout the week. I recently graduated college and am waiting to begin active duty military service, so right now I’m doing side work and pet sitting for extra income while I prepare for that transition. Since I’m living with my sister and have fewer day-to-day obligations, I’m able to dedicate plenty of time and attention to pet care, walks, playtime, check-ins, and keeping pets company. I’m available most weekdays, weekends, and holidays with flexible hours. I treat every pet like they’re my own and always prioritize safety, consistency, and comfort. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, walking routines, and any specific care requests from owners. I have experience with both large and small dog breeds, including pitbulls, as well as cats, so I’m comfortable handling different temperaments and energy levels.

About: I have raised animals of all different kinds for about 5 years now that have ranged from all different species and ages! I love taking care of animals and will take care of them to my best ability! I currently work at Starbucks that ends around 11am every day after that I am available all day when I am not babysitting! I will have a very open schedule. I always ensure a safe environment for pets by making sure there is nothing harmful the pets can get into and making sure they are well fed!
About: Reliable and caring pet sitter with strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and a passion for keeping pets safe, happy, and well-cared for. With years of experience. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I work from home and maintain a very flexible schedule. I’m available throughout the day for walks, feeding, playtime, and check-ins, and I can easily adjust my schedule to meet each pet’s needs. This allows me to provide consistent attention, care, and companionship, ensuring pets feel safe, comfortable, and well-cared for. In my home, I provide a safe, spacious, and welcoming environment. While I don’t have a fenced yard, I make up for it with multiple daily walks and trips to the dog park twice a day for exercise and socialization. I also have two children and a friendly dog, so your pet will have plenty of companionship and feel right at home. In a client’s home, I follow your pet’s routine closely—feeding, walks, playtime, and any special care—so they stay comfortable in their familiar environment.
“Isabel has been a God-send!!!! I’ve had her sit my dogs a few times now, and she is always prompt, she follows my directions to the letter and most importantly, my dogs loved her from the first time she walked through my door! They are always happy to see her. She has taken a huge worry off of me since one of my dogs had surgery and I had to be away for work.”

About: We started this as a summer job that we thought would be fun - well, we are still having fun! My husband and I have been raised with dogs and want the same for our kids!. When your dog comes to our home, they become a part of the family! Drop-ins are the same. It’s important to us that we meet our pups and parents to make sure it’s a good fit for all because we understand how unsettling it can be to be separated from them. Mickey and I have a solid understanding and respect for dog instincts and behaviors and enjoy all breeds. We have two children (one who is a future pet sitter, herself) and they love having furry friends over! We have a 4 year old Lemon Beagle named Rosie and she enjoy visitors as well! We have a huge fenced-in backyard with lots of things to smell and explore! I work as a school teacher and my husband works at home. My work hours end pretty early and this also allows us to have weekends and most holidays free. But someone is almost always home. We will have open hours for most of June-August :-) As mentioned, we have a big, fenced-in yard and a very pet friendly home. If your dog is primarily an indoor dog, we will only take them out for walks, play, and potty! When your pet is in our care, they become one of our family members - lots of conversations, hugs and belly rubs, and exercise!
“This was my first time leaving my kitty alone and he made me feel so comfortable! I was updated regularity with pictures, his communication was great, and he was able to give my baby medicine no problem. I also came home to a clean house after he house sat. Communication was great and I will definitely rebook next time I need a sitter!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Navarre
Ricki did an amazing job and took care of our animals like they were her own. Our dog Roxy fell in love with Ricki. the They did a lot of snuggling while we were gone and she got spoiled! We were so appreciative while we were gone during a storm that she picked up our yard. She kept our house spotless and always kept us updated. She was perfect, so glad we chose her to take care of our house and our pets.

Juliana was nice to come and meet us and our pet prior to our trip. She took care of our Bella and dealt with her separation anxiety from us. From our end Juliana showed when she said she would and seemed to try and take time with our Bella. Hopefully she will still want to watch her if needed.
Lisa was an absolute pleasure and we will absolutely be booking with her again! She made my furbaby feel like a princess and it was amazing being away without having to worry about her. I felt super at-ease the whole time and loved the messages and pictures she sent. Lisa is a gem and I’m thrilled I found her.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Navarre walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Navarre maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Navarre choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Navarre. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
