I’ve been an active professional pet sitter with 5-star reviews and references since 2019 (can provide reviews) and for more than 20 years I’ve been trusted to care for homes and beloved pets around the world. With every sit, I bring a strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and respect. I’ve also had several animals of my own over the years and genuinely love being around them — they keep me happy, playful, and young! During extended pet sits, I enjoy writing meditation music and keeping up with my online work. I’m naturally calm, clean, dependable, and tend to create a peaceful environment wherever I stay. I grew up in a small town in Louisiana and became a professional singer-songwriter after graduating from the University of New Orleans. Later in life, I spent several years living and teaching within a spiritual community before returning to a more independent and creative lifestyle. Since then, I’ve traveled the world and also founded a women’s healing community center in Lake Chapala, Mexico. These days I spend most of my time in the US, writing, playing, and recording music, exploring meaningful projects, and continuing to care for animals whenever possible. For me, animals embody pure, unconditional love, and I truly enjoy spending quality time with them.

Safety, trust & environment
I care for pets with a strong focus on safety, consistency, affection, and respect for their individual routines and personalities. In a client’s home, I do my best to maintain the environment and schedule their pets are already comfortable with — including feeding times, walks, medications, playtime, litter box care, and quiet companionship. I understand that animals feel safest when their routine stays familiar. I’m very attentive, clean, and respectful of both the home and the animals in my care. I pay close attention to changes in behavior, appetite, mood, or energy and communicate clearly with pet parents while they’re away. I also enjoy sending updates and photos when welcomed. I naturally create a calm, peaceful environment and genuinely enjoy spending quality time with animals rather than simply “checking in” on them. Whether a pet is energetic and playful or shy and independent, I adapt to their needs and comfort level with patience and care.

Ricki did an amazing job and took care of our animals like they were her own. Our dog Roxy fell in love with Ricki. the They did a lot of snuggling while we were gone and she got spoiled! We were so appreciative while we were gone during a storm that she picked up our yard. She kept our house spotless and always kept us updated. She was perfect, so glad we chose her to take care of our house and our pets.
Ricki was fantastic staying with our Shepard! He was so loved and well exercised during the weekend. Will use Ricki again if available!
Ricki was FANTASTIC with our Zoey girl! She housesat for four nights and was flexible enough to stay an extra night due to a travel delay. We received frequent updates and fantastic communication before, during, and after the houseit. Ricki was very respectful of our home and left it probably tidier than when she arrived. I will definitely book Ricki in the future. ❤️

Ricki has taken care of our pet “Paco” for extended periods, while we are away. Paco is always happy in her care. From time to time Ricki stays in my guest room. She is clean, reliable and caring. She's mindful, loves to sing and play on her guitar. I know that animals love music. They will really love her.

Schedule
I recently moved back to the U.S. to spend more time with my aging mother, whom I’ve always been very close to. I’m looking forward to being near family again, enjoying quality time together, and reconnecting with my music and songwriting. For me, pet sitting feels like a natural extension of this time.
