About: We have a lifetime of experience caring for a variety of pets of all sizes and ages. We have a safe house and a large fenced backyard that will ensure your pet has a safe place to roam. We promise to love your furr child as much as we love our own. Let your pet enjoy their vacation while you enjoy yours! I’m a SAHM so I am home every day. Our animals are never alone. It’s a lifestyle for us, our pets are our family. Our dogs are used to having multiple daily walks and multiple times in their backyard to play and run around. We do have 4 cats but we have gates up that give them their own private space where they are not near the dogs and our home is big enough they go and hide when they please. The kitties are pretty good at going incognito when the pups are all out so no worries! Our home is clean and inviting where your pup will always have dogs to play with and little kids to love and play with him/her. Our dogs are kept in a crate during the night and when I have to leave the house to ensure they don’t get into anything and that they are safe. We prefer for our pups who come to stay with us to have a crate also to keep them safe too, but if they’re good out of a crate/that’s what they’re used to that’s alright too! Safety is my #1 priority always. I provide daily photos/videos and updates to give parents a piece of mind while they’re away. We also do poo pickup in the backyard every day to keep the environment clean and healthy and we treat our yard for flea/ticks. We provide ONLY filtered watered to all of our furr children and furr guests!!! All of our animals are on flea/tick prevention and they’re all UTD on shots/vet visits. Any other questions just ask!!! Here to help!

About: Hi! I’m Madison, a preschool teacher who loves animals just as much as I love working with kids. I have my own dog, Winston, and I’m comfortable with feeding, walking, playing, giving lots of attention, and following your pet’s normal routine. I know how important it is to leave your pet with someone you trust, so I’ll treat them like they’re part of my own family. I work as a preschool teacher Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. I’m available for drop-in visits and dog walks in the afternoons, evenings, weekends, and during many school holidays and breaks. I’ll communicate clearly, arrive on time, and make sure your pet gets the care and attention they deserve. I understand that every pet has their own routine, and I will follow your instructions carefully to help them feel comfortable while you’re away. I’ll make sure your pet has fresh food and water, potty breaks, exercise, playtime, and plenty of attention. I’ll also send updates and photos after each visit so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is safe and well cared for.
“I was so lucky to find a caring and kind cat sitter for Carley. Tonika followed all the instructions for treats and snuggles and went over and above my expectations of sharing how the visits went. I'm so glad we found her, Carley misses her already. She was spoiled with pets and luvens. Tanya and Carley Cat”

I’m committed to treating every dog in my care like they’re my own. I currently work full time as a probation officer, my schedule is flexible. I’m available most weekends and can come over to feed/walk your pets. I can easily follow your rules and how to properly take care of your dogs. I will love and care your pets like they are mine

“Carolyn was so attentive and communicative the entire time she watches our fur balls. I felt completely at ease knowing she was home checking in on them while we were gone. Would 100% recommend and use her again.”

“Avery has been watching Yuki and Cosmo for about a month now 2xs a week. She is always right on time, attentive, and gentle with them. Yuki is timid and I can see he has warmed up to her in a short amount time. She sends me pictures while I’m at work and a detailed report card of her visits. I highly recommend Avery to care for your babies!!”

“These are good people who genuinely love all pets. I booked them for drop-in visits for my 2 cats while I was gone on TDY, and they were very friendly and helpful with everything. Highly recommended!”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my extensive background as a military working dog handler and kennel master for a decade. This experience has given me a deep understanding of canine behavior and training. I've trained hunting dogs throughout my life and have grown up surrounded by dogs of all types. My expertise extends to owning and nurturing various breeds, transforming high-energy hunting and working dogs into loving, well-adjusted companions. Whether it's training a puppy or providing special care for senior pets, I bring a unique combination of skills and passion to ensure your furry friends receive the best care possible. I currently work a full time job that is typically 7-8 hour shift, and I am off on weekends. I always take my own dogs for walks, runs, or hikes after work so they get plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. I have a fully fenced big back yard and 3 of my own dogs. Your pet would be under supervision and able to play on the back yard and can also go on long walks. Your pet would be treated and cared for as though they were my own.

About: John & Stephanie - We are life-long pet owners who enjoy spending time with fur babies! We love to travel and staying in BnB's is part of that adventure for me. Staying in your home while caring for your pets is a wonderful opportunity for us to enjoy some great bonding experiences with dogs and cats while getting away from home. I think of it as staycationing with pets. John - Growing up as the son of a small town veterinarian I gained a lifetime of experience being around animals small and large. I love all animals but bond especially well with older dogs who require extra attention. I am comfortable with all breeds of dogs or cats. Pets have been lifetime companions and we are familiar with special needs of senior pets. We are comfortable giving medication and injections. One of us would care for your home and your baby as if they were our own. For stays 5 days or longer we provide a light house cleaning. We will freshen the baths and kitchen, make sure your floors are fur free, water plants, do a quick refrigerator clean-out, take the trash down and wash & change beds linens. We would look forward to an opportunity for a Meet and Greet at your convenience. I am currently working part-time and my schedule can be worked around your pets needs and routine. I am willing to travel for sitting opportunities that would be 3 days or longer. I would prefer to watch your pets in their own home. It's important for animals to feel comfortable when there family is away. Changes can cause anxiety and can affect your pets' routine. I feel very comfortable sleeping away from home and adjust easily as I love to travel and often stay in B&Bs. I am available to accompany families traveling with pets and children. Costs would vary with travel. I work part time and my schedule is mine to create. I can be away from home as needed to care for your fur baby. I am not interested in boarding or doggie daycare at this time. My fence is no longer secure and I would not want the responsibility.
About: I have grown up with dogs and different pets my whole life. I will walk, play and feed your pets. But most importantly I'll show love to your pet. During walks, I can keep a pace and pick up after them. I have personally had dogs my whole life and they have been all sizes from a Yorkie mix to a Great Dane and in between. I have pet sit for very many people including cats and dogs. The safety of your pet is very important to me and I will do my best to take care of it because I understand that they are more than pets but they are family. I currently work with marine animal care so providing a safe environment for your pet is my top priority. I have a lot of availability throughout the week and weekends. The safety of me and your pet comes first. Throughout high school and college I have had twelve reoccurring clients for house sitting, dog and cat sitting.

Abbie did an amazing job while we were away for a long weekend! Our cat Julien is usually very shy, but he quickly warmed up to Abbie, which says a lot about her experience working with new pets. She followed our instructions closely and provided a status update and pictures during each visit. She also went above and beyond to briefly meet Jules (and us) in advance! We will definitely work with Abbie again in the future.

Maria is an excellent pet sitter! She is so conscientious, always coming at the appointed times and taking great care to feed, water, and (in my case) scoop the litter. She would take wonderful photos of my cats so I'd know they were alright. After a day away, I could see my cats literally warming up to her by rubbing up against her in the photos. Maria has a kind heart for sure. You won't be disappointed.

I'm always anxious about letting a stranger into our house and leaving our 4 babies with them but meeting Cheryl put me at ease. She came prepared to take lots of notes and pays attention to detail. The fact that she's a vet tech is a huge plus as well. I should also mention, I'm very high maintenance and "micro-managey" when it comes to caring for my cats but Cheryl took it like a champ.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
