“Faith was wonderful with our pup! She was very communicative, sent pictures, and kept Evie company whole we were out for late night plans. We will definitely book her again.”

“We’ve used Bill several times to watch our pup, Lincoln and he’s been fabulous every time. He communicates, sends cute photo updates and takes care of the house for us when we’re gone. Would use him again and recommend him to anyone that would like a reliable pet sitter for their pets! Thank you, Bill!”

“Nicolle was fantastic. We were in a pinch for a sitter and she checked all the boxes and left our apartment just as we left it. Great pairing for our slightly anxious dog. Highly recommended!”

“We cannot recommend Adam enough as a house/dog sitter. It is always so hard to find someone trustworthy enough to stay in our home and take care of our amazing boy. Adam was communicative, trustworthy, and reliable allowing for us to have a relaxing vacation knowing that our pup was safe. We have a 2 year old doberman who is not always the quickest to warm up to people, however he took to Adam quickly and truly enjoy his stay with him. In addition, the house was in excellent condition when we returned and Loki was happy and well exercised. Will absolutely book Adam again for future sitting opportunities and strongly recommend him to sit your pup.”

“Alyssa is an amazing sitter. She is kind and thorough and clearly loves caring for pets. What more could you ask for? She left my house just as she found it and my dog and cat were clearly comfortable and happy after being with her. I look forward to hiring her again soon.”

“Ali is a delight! She took great care of my dog and my house while I was away. I could tell that my dog was very happy and had a great time on their daily walks. Ali is also able to handle special requests as my dog has some anxiety and needed some extra attention. She also was great at providing updates. Highly recommend Ali!”

“Gave him 5 stars because the app won’t let me give him 10 ⭐️! Communicates frequently, took of my our high energy dog, and kept the house clean!!! Jeffrey was the best dog watcher we’ve had!”

“Harold was great with Hendrix! We felt confident leaving for our trip knowing he was in great hands. We got regular updates and pictures of our guy and we would definitely book Harold again!”

“Larry watched our 2 senior pups for a long weekend. We were nervous as this was our first time using Rover but Larry made it a breeze! He came out for a meet and greet and read through my overly detailed instructions ahead of time. He sent us daily pics and updates and even brought the mail in. We have never come home to such chilled out dogs after a trip. We would definitely recommend Larry to anyone looking for some quality care for their pets.”

“Sarah is amazing! She is incredibly thorough, patient, and professional. She asked thoughtful questions about my cat that even I hadn’t thought of, and my cat was completely calm and comfortable around her. She also took amazing photos of my baby and was very attentive to everything happening in the house. She noticed and communicated anything that might need my attention, which gave me great peace of mind. I truly appreciate how caring, observant, and responsible she is. I highly recommend Sarah!”

About: 🐾 After 18 years with my own dog, I learned that the best way to care for someone’s dog is to get to know the dog—not just the breed. Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover with years of hands-on experience walking, boarding, and pet sitting throughout Philadelphia — including experience on Wag! I’m a big believer that every dog has their own personality, so I like to make walks and visits fit the pup rather than take a one-size-fits-all approach. Whether your dog is a high-energy explorer who needs to burn off some zoomies, a professional sniff inspector who wants to investigate every blade of grass, or a little homebody who just wants some company, I’m happy to meet them where they’re at. 🐶 My own dog, Sandie, was my best friend for 18 wonderful years, so I know firsthand how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else’s care. After losing her, I realized how much I missed having a dog around — and getting to spend time with other people’s pups has been one of my favorite ways to fill that gap. I’m based in Manayunk, surrounded by great walking trails, parks, and dog-friendly spots, with a dog park right at my apartment complex. My goal is simple: a happy, tired pup and a pet parent who feels completely at ease. I’ll give your dog plenty of attention, exercise, affection, and, of course, a few adorable photo updates along the way. 📸🐾 Since I work from home, your dog won't be spending the day waiting for someone to come back from the office. I'm able to take frequent potty breaks, go for walks, and spend quality time with them throughout the day. I live in Manayunk with a dog park at my apartment and a walking trail right across the street, so there are plenty of opportunities for adventure, exercise, and meeting new furry friends. My goal is simple: make sure your dog has such a great time that they can't wait to come back! My home is a calm, comfortable environment where your dog will get plenty of one-on-one attention. I don't have any pets or roommates, so your pup won't be competing for affection, space, or playtime. Unless your dog is accustomed to using a crate and you'd prefer they continue that routine, they're welcome to relax and roam freely throughout my apartment. My goal is to make them feel as comfortable and loved as they do at home.

“Dana! Wow, what an excellent human you are. Thank you so much for conquering an unplanned battle this weekend against our enemy, the sugar ants! It's an ongoing war, and you went out of your way (as I'm sure was necessary), thank you. Junie's asking constantly about when we are planning to leave again and left a travel brochure on my pillow last night. I caught her this morning trying to text you herself...something about coming over to finish that list of movies you started together. Had to change the password on my phone, that stinker! I'm sure you'll be hearing from one of us again soon! Thank you so much, Jess + Matt + JUNEBUG! 🐾”

“Jackie was great with our dog Penny, who definitely has some quirks. Jackie sent daily photos and videos while we were away and also took great care of our apartment— she left it spotless and Penny was clearly well loved while we were gone. I would definitely book her again!”

“Anthony is a wonderful sitter. He arrived precisely on time and listened carefully to our instructions regarding. our special needs dog, Norma. Anthony texted photos and reassured us that Norma had taken her medication. When we got home, we were pleasantly surprised to find her relaxed and comfortable, something she doesn't always exhibit even with us. We're glad we found Anthony and look forward to having him care for Norma in the future.”

About: Hi, I’m Jocelyn! I grew up with a Jack Russell/terrier mix who has been part of our family for 12 years, so dogs have been a huge part of my life since I was a teenager. I’m also a proud cat mom of two, and between my sisters’ cats (an orange tabby duo!) and my own, I’m very comfortable with feline personalities too. My pet care experience includes caring for my husband’s senior, blind family dog — so I’m confident with pets who need a little extra patience and gentle handling — as well as care for different breeds of dogs and cats from friends to coworkers! I bring the same reliability from my years in customer service and hospitality: I show up on time, communicate clearly, and treat every fur baby like they’re my own. What sets me apart: I love photography and videography, so every walk or visit comes with photo and video updates of your fur babies having a great time — not just a quick “all good!” text. You’ll actually get to see the tail wags. I’m also an active person myself — I run, hike, and play tennis — I’m happy to give high-energy dogs the exercise they need! Currently booking flexible daytime and weekend visits. Looking forward to meeting you & yours! :) Pet care fits naturally into my routine right now since I have a flexible schedule with plenty of daytime availability. I’m an active person — I work out, walk, and spend time outdoors regularly — so incorporating walks or visits into my day feels like a natural extension of how I already live, not an extra chore. I also have two cats of my own, so daily feeding, litter care, and playtime are already part of my everyday rhythm! In my own home, my boys have consistent routines — regular feeding times, fresh filtered water, clean litter areas, and daily play and enrichment. I keep a calm, safe environment and give plenty of one-on-one attention throughout the day, not just at scheduled check-ins. In a client’s home, I prioritize keeping their pet’s existing routine exactly as-is — same feeding schedule, same food, same walk times — since consistency matters most for pets in an unfamiliar situation (or even a familiar one with their person away). I treat the home with the same care and respect I’d want for my own space: doors/gates secured, messes cleaned up, and everything left exactly as I found it. And of course, you’ll get photo/video updates throughout so you can see your pet is happy and comfortable the whole time! (:

“Bahiyyah was great. She took such wonderful care of my puppy and older cat. She did an amazing job keeping up with the puppy and exercising her. I was able to enjoy my vacation without stressing about my girls. Highly recommend Bahiyyah if you're looking for a patient and kind sitter.”

“I cannot recommend Catherine enough! As someone using the Rover app for the first time, I was a bit nervous about leaving my two pups, but Catherine made the entire experience seamless and stress-free. She kept me updated and put my mind completely at ease while I was away. What truly sets Catherine apart is how she goes above and beyond to provide exceptional care. One of my dogs requires daily medication, and Catherine handled it with such diligence and patience, ensuring she never missed a dose. It is such a relief knowing my pets were in such capable, loving hands. She is wonderful with both of them, and I’m so grateful I found her!”

“Did an amazing job with my dog and cat during the 2-week long overnight stay at my place. They gave lots of updates and photos which helped me feel more at ease leaving my pets. They also cleaned up after themselves when they were done, which was really appreciated after getting back from a long trip! Absolutely would recommend them!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Narberth
Abby was fantastic, as always! She stayed at our house for 10 days with our two pups. She took both dogs on walks daily, administered medication, and expertly cleaned our hound dog’s gross ears! She went above and beyond by cuddling with both dogs at night and making their days feel as normal as possible :) Great communication throughout the stay. She took great care of our house. Very happy to have found a great sitter.

Kristina and her daughter were wonderful! They. Were very attentive and communicated through out their stay. I was very nervous leaving the dogs as usually they stay with family but Kristina put our worries at ease and everything went great! Would highly recommend!

Dion was a wonderful pet sitter! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone. My dog loved her immediately. She took excellent care of my pup (and bird) and I think my house was cleaner when I got home than when I left. She was communicative and sent lots of pics. I would give her 100 stars if I could.

Anna took great care of our two dogs and home while we were away on vacation. One of our dogs had a medical emergency while we were away, and Anna did all the right things, including calling Rover, a late night trip to an emergency vet, keeping us informed and communicating throughout, and administering medications as needed. Our dogs can be a bit nervous but got used to Anna quickly. She sent us lots of pictures during her stay.

Attentive, responsive, and great with my cats! I would definitely hire again. Danielle has a very nice demeanor that allows them to approach her easily. She took great care of my home and sent me updates with pics daily. I felt at ease knowing she was taking care of them.

Faith is a fantastic dog sitter! She was incredibly sweet and communicative, keeping us updated throughout our trip. She kept the house tidied and cleaned, which was a good feeling coming home too. Most importantly, our pups were happy and extremely well cared for. I highly recommend her and hope to use her dog sitting services again soon! Thanks, Faith! :)

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Narberth walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Narberth maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Narberth choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Narberth. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
