Sky exceeded our expectations! She house sat and cared for our bouncy, playful boxer and temperamental rat terrier for several days. Her regular photo updates gave us peace of mind. Returning home, it was clear all was well cared for. We’ve used Rover on several occasions. Sky is by far our top choice!

Trula watched our 2 small dogs for a full week & they were happy and well taken care of. One dog was started on a medication the day before we left, and Trula followed the written instructions without hesitation. We received daily updates & photos. Lily is often grumpy & growls at people, but we received photos with her sitting on Trula's lap, so Trula was able to overcome her moodiness. Trula was also flexible with her departing schedule as I told her the wrong time for our return flight. We appreciated her taking such good care of our dogs.

Absolutely fantastic service from Samantha! She house-sat for us and took care of our dog, Dandy, for three nights. Samantha's attention to detail, responsibility, and genuine love for animals truly shone through. We came home to a very happy dog. The daily updates and photos were wonderful, keeping us reassured while we were away. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and will definitely be booking her again in the future. Thank you, Samantha! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Claire was wonderful with our dogs! She is incredibly gentle, kind, and patient, and it was obvious she genuinely cared about them. She listened carefully to all of our instructions and followed them exactly, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. Our dogs were happy, well cared for, and comfortable with her, and we came home to very content pups. Communication was great, and we felt confident knowing they were in good hands. We were so pleased with the experience that we’ve already booked several more stays with her. We would absolutely recommend Claire to anyone looking for a reliable, caring dog sitter and will definitely be hiring her again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Heather is an amazing sitter! She spent quality time at the greet and meet, patiently and attentively learned about Loki and Mala and our care routines. She brought peace and confidence in our mind while we were away. Heather was very engaged and hands-on with our pups, walking them diligently rain or shine, playing with them, and petting them with affection. Our little one Mala was shy and timid at the beginning due to past trauma but quickly warmed up to Heather as she is so kind and friendly. Heather has great communication skills as she sent reminders for our appointments and she provided many updates with the photos/videos of the pups which we greatly appreciated. She left the house spotless too. We are very happy that we have discovered Heather on Rover and we will absolutely have her care for our pups again!

Simply, Adeline was a perfect pet sitter in pur home. Our little dog is 16 years old and doesn't hear. He also was highly traumatized before we adopted him, so new people make him very agitated. deline was amazing with him. She was kind enough to agree to a pre vacation meetup before our holiday. She listened to our concerns and clearly treated him well. By the time we came home a week later, she was his bestie. Adeline sent us photos periodically with updates and seemed to really care about them, offering to sit for us again in the future. We're so grateful to Adeline for her patience and care; she made it possible for me to relax on vacation knowing they were in good hands. Thank you Adeline!

About: I’ve grown up with dogs all my life. Now, I have a cat, and I would love to spend some time with your puppers and also take a load off your plate! I used to walk dogs through Wag, so I’m accustomed to meeting and befriending new dogs very quickly. My schedule is pretty flexible, and I’d love to hang out with your pups! All services up to two dogs. Dog walking: I’ll walk your dog(s) for 30-60 minutes. My parents’ dog is not very well socialized, so I know how to keep an anxious dog comfortable and under control. Drop-Ins: I’ll feed your dog, take them out, and play with them for a while - whatever you request! House-sitting: All of the above PLUS I’ll stay overnight, water your plants, and bring in your mail. I work in theater on a freelance basis, so I often find myself with a lot of free time. Help me fill it with some pet care! I own my own cat, so I am unable to take your pets into my own home. However, I am happy to visit or stay in your home to care for your pets.

He had good training tips as well. He even covered up our outdoor furniture for us when it started raining, which was much appreciated. I would rebook, dogs seemed very happy with him.

Sterling and Misty took great care of our kitty and getting our mail while we were gone for 10 days. She kept me updated regularly and responded quickly when I'd text her. One day when Matilda was feeling a little bit lonely she stayed with her for a long time playing and petting and loving her. We had a great vacation and didn't have to worry about our home or our kitty, knowing that they were being taken care of.

If you're ever unsure of leaving your animals, just leave it to Enya! She is a rockstar and we are so relieved to have found a petsitter that takes care of our babies as her own. Our rescue dog has high anxiety when separated from her humans, and we were nervous leaving her for the first time. She took a few days to warm up but Enya was gentle, patient, and considerate of her space and boundaries. By day two, our dog came around. Our cats absolutely adored her from the start and seemed to get along better for her than they ever have for us! Enya kept us updated on the regular and is quick to respond / shift care as needed. Our place was left exactly as she found it, and she even went above and beyond to make our animals' spots around the house even cozier. No need to look further, Enya is your girl!

Amy is absolutely amazing. I have an incredibly difficult dog. She is just terrified of anything new or different. Finding someone to watch her is challenging at best. Amy went above and beyond. She was patient and dedicated from the onset. She understands dogs and adapts to their needs while keeping me informed with daily updates and photos. Amy is a rare and compassionate soul who I would trust with anyone or anything I care about.

Kinsley watched my two dogs for a few days and was exceptional! I have a senior dog who takes medication and is pretty slow in everything.. (walking, eating) and she is combined with a lively 3-year old who does everything at hyper speed. Kinsley managed to find a rhythm that worked for both. She sent me regular updates and really cared for the dogs. I felt grateful she was with them while I was away. I definitely recommend her!

This was the first time we have used someone outside the family to watch one of our pets while out of town. FAQs for House Sitting - Mulloy

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Mulloy on Rover is $49.95 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 4,704 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Mulloy. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Mulloy walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Mulloy maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Mulloy choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Mulloy. On Rover:

  • 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
