Emily was great with my puppy, 20 weeks. She fed him and took him for a walk using a clicker to encourage loose leash walking. She is very kind and loving.

About: Hi! Welcome to Paws on Puente!! We are a fully licensed Doggy Daycare & Boarding (at home) business. My name is Cher and I am an experienced dog mom that plans to give a lot of love and attention to your baby! I have 3 grown kids (youngest is in college), and 3 fur babies (ranging from puppy to super senior). I’m the “crazy dog mom” that throws elaborate birthday parties for my dogs and takes them on our vacations. My husband and I treat every single pup as our own! We get that trusting us with your fur baby means you’re trusting us with your life- we are all about giving them VIP care! About us: Gil and I have both lived with and cared for dogs of various breeds, temperaments, and nursed them through all stages of life. We both work in healthcare, with at least one of us working from home 5 days a week. Outside of work, we enjoy taking the dog(s) out for a leisurely walk/jog. I was on our city’s Youth Competitive Sports Program’s Board of Directors and my husband created and built Mountain House’s 1st competitive youth Track & Field program- so we understand the importance of running a reputable and professional business. Now that our human kids have aged out, we love spending time fostering for the local shelters too. Our Pet Care Model: We believe great care starts with great communication. That’s why we offer an opportunity for an introductory phone call or constant messaging to discuss your pup’s personality, schedule, health needs, and routines. Because every dog adjusts differently, we carefully introduce dogs one-on-one to ensure compatibility and comfort for everyone. During busy seasons (summer and holidays), we prioritize crate-trained dogs — this helps us maintain calm, safe group feedings and downtime. We provide multiple sizes of disinfected crates and beds, but if your dog doesn’t crate at night, we can accommodate up to one non-crated dog per day with a customized setup. Our home features gated sections to safely separate dogs by size, age, energy level, and temperament. Each dog will be assessed in order to set them up to feel the most comfortable. Other amenities: Your pup will enjoy supervised indoor–outdoor time through our doggy door, plus access to a fully fenced backyard equipped with: • A large gazebo for shade or rain cover • Two decks for down time and sunbathing • Artificial grass and a sand dog run for playtime We pride ourselves on keeping the environment clean, safe, and fun — your pup’s stay will feel like a mini vacation in a dog-friendly backyard oasis! Last-minute bookings are welcome, pending availability. We’re conveniently located along routes to and from the Bay Area, Tahoe, Southern California, and Yosemite — perfect for quick drop-offs before your getaway! We also offer video calls or in-person meet & greets before booking to ensure a great fit and to learn how we can best personalize your pup’s stay. Long-term stay discounts are available.

About: I’ve had dogs in the home since I was born, and am used to handling larger breeds with various temperaments. Currently we have a standard poodle named max that has been with us for about twelve years, who is very calm and friendly :) I have also volunteered at shelters in my spare time when I’m not working at the movie theater. I am available all day morning to afternoon. I will need a heads up for overnight stays. I get my schedule for work Monday and it is through the following week. I will care for pets by following owners instructions for feeding, medication, walks, along with any other quirks that are noted to me. I also stay vigilant and keep up with cleaning.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 10, and have been around dogs since I was 6. I am able to provide senior pet care, tend to anxious animals, and I care about the animal’s comfort, safety, and peace of mind. I currently work a part-time job, with an unfixed schedule, so I am willing to do pet work outside of work hours as best I can, whenever I have time outside of work. In client’s homes, I am able to work with any schedule your dog needs, (medication, outside time, walks, etc.) I make sure pets feel comfortable and I am not a stranger to them. They are supervised and given all of the outside access they need for potty breaks, and they are being fed on time and well handled with care.

About: I’ve been caring for my own dog, Bheem, for over 4 years, which has given me hands-on experience with daily routines like feeding, walking, grooming, and playtime. I understand how important consistency and attention are for a dog’s well-being, and I always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. What sets me apart is my patience and attentiveness. I’m very observant of a dog’s behavior and needs, whether that means giving extra exercise to high-energy dogs or providing a calm, gentle environment for more anxious or older dogs. I’m also comfortable with basic training like leash manners and reinforcing good habits. I love all types of animals, and I’ll treat every dog like my own and make sure they get plenty of love, care, and attention while you’re away. Pet care fits easily into my daily and weekly routine. I have flexible availability for walks, visits, and overnight stays, and I can adjust my schedule to meet your pet’s needs. Caring for dogs and cats is something I prioritize, and I make sure each pet gets consistent attention, exercise, and companionship while you’re away. Each day I make sure to handle cleaning my pet’s food bowls, replacing water, potty breaks, walks, brushing his teeth, cleaning his eyes, and giving him enough play time! I’m consistent when it comes to following orders and a proper routine! I prioritize safety and comfort for every pet in my care. In my home, pets have a clean, secure space to play, rest, and explore, with plenty of supervision and attention. I follow each pet’s routine carefully, including feeding, walks, and any special needs. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat their space with respect and follow all instructions to ensure the pets feel safe and at ease. I’m attentive, reliable, and always make sure pets are happy, calm, and cared for while their owners are away.

About: Hello! My name is Chloé and my two greatest passions are animals and music. I have over 10 years experience working with dogs, cats, birds, fish, reptiles, horses, cattle, etc.! You name it and I have most likely worked with it. I was a barn manager at a horse rescue in Denver and have spent most of my working years caring for dogs. I also have experience in training and animal health care! Nothing makes me smile more than animals and after losing my girl to cancer, I would do anything to share the love I have and give your pet the best care possible! I have professional experience administering medications, behavior training, crate training, puppy training, light grooming and the patience it takes to earn the trust of your furry companion. Please choose me and I guarantee the most loving care and a gentle, patient hand. I currently work full time at Amazon Sat-Tues, I’m available Wednesday to Friday all day. I am willing to consider evenings after 5pm or very early like 4:30am on work days. I pride myself in being helpful and working with my clients to provide optimal care. I currently can not offer in home daycare or boarding, but am more than happy to come to you and your loyal companion. Depending on client needs I am fully capable of being prepared with gloves, shoe covers, sanitizer, and a mask. I will follow any and all specifications for in-home pup care, as well as yard scooping and all over body checks on your pet to look for fleas, ticks, cuts, bumps, dehydrated gums, and anything else unusual. I can also provide nail trims and bathing. I am a small business owner and also back in school to pursue a second degree in education for elementary and middle school ages, my focuses are Mathematics and English primarily grammar and reading comprehension. My first degree is an Associate’s in the Applied Sciences for Audio and Sound. I have an extensive schedule at the moment, but please ask and see if I can accommodate your pet needs!! I’m happy to help. If required I can enter your home with gloves and/or a mask. I am incredibly attentive and aware, meaning I always make sure to have an eye and ear on your pet especially since my own canine rescue has special needs and requires it herself.

About: Gentle and mindful of your pet’s needs and space. It’s important to build trust first, I will ensure absolute comfort is achieved. Then endless playtime after. I’ve opened my schedule to care for adorable fur babies as I’ve missed having my fur baby. The love and endorphins received when cuddling is much needed. When at a client’s home, I need to learn all house rules and will always leave the home clean and orderly. Pets will have food/ water filled at all times and all foreseeable dangers removed. At my home, safety and comfort are carefully curated.

About: Hi there! My name is Lyndsey, and I decided to join Rover because I simply couldn’t resist the idea of spending my free time with dogs! I have two dogs of my own and have been surrounded by animals my entire life, so I truly understand how special and precious our furry friends are. Dogs are family to me, and I absolutely love every moment I get to spend with them. Whether you need long walks, check-ins, or just some extra love and attention for your pup while you’re away, I’m here to help! I’m responsible, caring, and excited to give your dog the best care possible. I can’t wait to meet your furry friend and provide them with the love and attention they deserve! I currently have a full time job usually starting in the late afternoons through the evenings, but I’m fortunate that my work schedule allows me to offer pet care during the mornings, early afternoons, and at night! Pet care is something I genuinely enjoy, and it fits perfectly into my routine. Before my workday, I’m available for walks, check-ins, or just some one-on-one playtime with your pup. If needed to stay over your house to dog sit, I can easily do so after my work hours. Pet care is a perfect way for me to unwind and make sure your furry friend gets the care they deserve! When caring for pets in your home, I focus on maintaining a routine that’s familiar and comforting for your pet. I start by ensuring that your dog feels at ease in their environment, keeping their space clean, and following any specific instructions you’ve provided for feeding, exercise, and playtime. I make sure to give them plenty of attention, whether that’s a long walk, some fun playtime, or simply relaxing and offering companionship. If your dog has any special needs, I’m more than happy to accommodate them, whether it’s administering medication or sticking to a certain schedule. I also keep you updated with photos and messages to let you know how your dog is doing, so you can feel at ease while you’re away. My goal is to make your pet feel loved, safe, and cared for in the comfort of their own home.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
