“Cher and Gil are so trustworthy and caring with Alilo and all the other dogs. Always keeping me informed sending videos and pictures. If you are looking for someone to dog sit, I highly recommend Cher and Gil. Your dog will love it there. I know mine does!😍”

“Brian and Eunice were great! Received tons of photo updates of Mochi and I loved it so much. Was feeling anxious with him staying with a new family for 5 nights, but I felt so much better after all the updates and seeing how well Mochi was doing with their family. My fur baby was well taken care of. Mochi became part of their family. Thank you again Brian and Eunice! We will definitely be booking with them again 🥰”

“Thank you once again for your great service in taking good care of our fur baby while we were out of town. Till next time. And we are so touched of your wife’s thoughtfulness creating a ref magnet of Zooco’s photo! That was nice of her. Again, thank you 😊”

“We are so glad we found Anton on Rover. He took great care of our senior dog and sent us many pictures making us feel comfortable knowing that he is well taken cared of. Thanks Anton. MelP.”

“We were very grateful to find someone that loves dogs and has a passion for caring for them when their owners need to be away. Our dog was safe & well taken care of. Thank you Monisa & David!”

“Julie was very kind to Reepicheep and it was clear she wanted her to be comfortable. Caring for a senior cat with multiple medical conditions can be challenging, and I’ve realized that I personally value very detailed communication throughout a stay.”

“Cooper was genuinely cared for and very well taken care of by Rachana and her family! We were at peace due to regular and detailed updates about his settling in phase. Being an anxious pup, Cooper needs a considerable amount of patience and love to feel at home and he seemed to feel at ease very soon at Rachana’s place. Their pup is super friendly too and was great company for Cooper during his stay! Thank you for your care and affection towards Cooper!”

“Thank you, Kim & Chris, for taking such great care of our little Mazzie. I have terrible anxiety leaving our rescue pup. But with your loving care, all of my anxiety went away knowing that Mazzie would be well cared for. We look forward to booking with you again.”

“Linh and Torrey took great care of Willis our 14 yr old boxer. I would highly recommend them caring for your fur baby. I wouldn't hesitate to have them care for Willis again and hope they are available for our next trip!!!”

“From the Meet and Greet with Preetika and her husband, I knew that our morkiepoo would be cared for and safe. They were accommodating that I got to bring our dog’s big doggy playpen to their home. Our dog got along with her Shitzu who was a calm presence to her. Kaley settled in after a day of staying with Preetika for her week long stay. We appreciate her caring nature and won’t hesitate to use Preetika again in the future.”
“Our dogs had a great time with Cindy!! We received pictures and/or videos daily. We were so pleased with how well she took care of them. They enjoyed time at the dog park and snuggles with her. The dogs told us they want to go back to her next time we go on vacation ?”

“We couldn’t be happier with the care Boris received from August 19–25! He was treated like paw family lots of playtime with the kids and updates that kept us smiling. It’s clear he felt safe, loved, and totally at home. Highly recommend to anyone looking for thoughtful, reliable dog sitting. Boris gives two paws up! 🐾”

“Kristine is so nice! She responds to messages pretty quickly and sends video updates. Her huge and clean backyard was great for Kobe who loves to play fetch. We are already planning for Kobe’s next time with them. Thanks, Kristine!”

“So very happy to find Yulan & Gao. Such a loving & warm couple. The lower floor of their home is dedicated to fur babies. The park is half block away. We felt completely comfortable that Our little guy would be well cared for and he was. We could see that in the pics and videos they sent. We will definitely be booking with them again!”

“Very highly recommend, Kirsten and Kristian took excellent care of Oreo and sent us pictures regularly to keep us updated. They were also available for any questions/information and I would gladly board Oreo with them again.”

“Peter is a professional, organized, and thoughtful dog sitter. He kept us updated with regular texts and photos, and he and his family took the best care of our Goldendoodle. I could not recommend him more highly. Thank you, Peter, we look forward to the next time!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Mountain House
Bella enjoyed her stay with Brian, Eunice, Pax, Nellie, and friends! She was clearly well cared for, looked wonderful when she came home, and seemed happy, relaxed, and comfortable. We loved receiving updates, especially the photos of her playing, eating, and having fun, and knowing she was in such good hands. Thank you for taking such great care of her—we will definitely be booking again!

Highly recommended. We went on a week long trip overseas and it was our dog, Yuni’s, first time being watched by anyone else. And Yuni was super comfortable. Jingxian/Angel sent us pictures everyday to give us peace of mind that Yuni was safe and comfortable. As the days went on, so did Yunis comfort level. The pictures evolved from just walking to playing. 10/10 would recommend!

Jillian was wonderful during our pet's 8-night stay! As a first-time Rover user, I was so impressed by her friendly communication and the periodic photo and video updates she shared. She has a fantastic large backyard where our pet and her dog became fast friends. Jillian is clearly a natural with animals—she even manages other farm animals in a separate section of her property. We will definitely be booking with her again!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
