Welcome to Paws on Puente, we’re so happy you’re here! We are a licensed, home based dog daycare and boarding experience where every pup is cared for like one of our own. ❤️🐾 What started with a lifelong love of dogs and years of fostering dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments has grown into our small family business. And today, we’re fortunate to have our wonderful team helping us provide the same attentive, personalized care our families have come to know and trust with us over the years. 💕 One of the things that makes Paws on Puente different is that we don’t believe every dog needs the same experience: 🐾 Have a social butterfly who loves making friends? 🐶 We thoughtfully match dogs by size, energy level, play style, and temperament to create safe, well-balanced playgroups with plenty of supervised play and enrichment. Have a senior, shy pup, independent dog, or one who simply prefers more personal space? ❤️ That’s okay too! We’re able to provide quieter areas, 1-on-1 attention, rest time, and separation from group play as needed. Your dog never has to be the life of the party to feel comfortable here! 🥰 Our years of fostering have given us experience caring for dogs with a wide range of personalities and needs. We understand that some dogs walk in ready to make ten new best friends 😁 while others need time, patience, structure, or a little extra reassurance. 🫶🏽 I’m Cheridyn, a longtime dog mom, foster mom, and owner of Paws on Puente. Together, my husband Gil and I have three adult children (all ready to help care for yours when they’re around!) and three resident pups of our own, ranging from playful youngster to super senior. We both work from home, which means we’re here throughout the day to provide supervision, interaction, potty breaks, playtime, walks, and medical attention as needed. Around here, dogs truly ARE family!! Whether your pup comes for daycare, an overnight stay, or an extended vacation, our goal is simple: to give them a safe, fun, comfortable home away from home, with the type of care that fits them. We can’t wait to welcome your pup to the Paws on Puente family! 🐾❤️

Our little Maltipoo, had such a great time with Cheridyn and Gil! He was so well taken care of, and we really appreciated getting pictures and updates while we were away. It gave us such peace of mind knowing he was happy and in good hands. He came home happy and excited to see us! Loki could not have had a better time with Cheridyn at Paws on Puente! In every photo and video sent, he was smiling ear to ear. When we went to pick him up we could tell he had a blast! They are so friendly and responsive too. We hope to definitely use again - thank you so much!!
Cheridyn and Gil were awesome! They were super responsive, sent lots of updates and photos, and let my dog roam around and make herself at home. It really put me at ease knowing my dog was happy and well taken care of. I'd definitely book with them again!
A fantastic family-run daycare with a warm, personal touch. Our dog is always happy to be here, and we know he his in great hands! They keep the communication crisp with timely updates!! Definitely recommend if you are looking for a reliable day care.

About Us Gil and I have spent years caring for dogs of many different breeds, temperaments, and life stages—from energetic puppies to senior dogs needing a little extra TLC. We’re both working professionals, with at least one of us working from home every weekday, so your pup will receive plenty of supervision, companionship, and attention throughout the day. Outside of work, we love spending time with our dogs by going on walks, hikes, kayaking adventures, and exploring together. We also enjoy giving back to our community. I previously served on Mountain House’s Youth Competitive Sports Board of Directors, and Gil founded the community’s first competitive youth Track & Field program. Now that our children are grown, we’ve shifted that passion into fostering dogs for local shelters and providing exceptional care for our boarding guests. Our Pet Care Philosophy We believe exceptional care starts with great communication. 👉🏽Before your dog’s stay, we’re happy to schedule an introductory phone call or communicate through Rover to learn about your pup’s personality, daily routine, medical needs, favorite activities, and any special preferences. Every dog is introduced slowly and individually to ensure they’re comfortable and compatible with the rest of the pack. During busy seasons and holidays, we prioritize crate-trained dogs because it allows us to safely manage feeding times, rest periods, and overnight routines. We provide sanitized crates and comfortable beds in multiple sizes. If your dog typically sleeps outside of a crate, we can accommodate one non-crated overnight guest at a time with a customized sleeping arrangement. Our home is thoughtfully designed with gated areas that allow us to separate dogs by size, age, energy level, and temperament when needed, ensuring every guest feels safe, relaxed, and successful during their stay. Your Dog’s Stay Your pup will enjoy supervised indoor and outdoor access throughout the day using our doggy door, along with our fully fenced backyard featuring: • Large shaded gazebo for sunny or rainy days • Two spacious decks for relaxing and sunbathing • Artificial turf and a sand play area for zoomies and enrichment Our goal is to provide a clean, safe, structured, and loving environment where every stay feels like a fun vacation with friends. And if you prefer that we keep your dog crated or away from the other dogs at home, we can customize your pet’s stay to allow for that too! Last-minute bookings are welcome whenever availability allows.

We also offer video calls or in-person meet & greets before booking to ensure a great fit and to learn how we can best personalize your pup’s stay. Long-term stay discounts are available.

A typical day
At home, during play time, we have baskets of dog toys they can play with or fetch, and dog enrichment toys too!
