Hi! Welcome to Paws on Puente!! We are a fully licensed Doggy Daycare & Boarding (at home) business. My name is Cher and I am an experienced dog mom that plans to give a lot of love and attention to your baby! I have 3 grown kids (youngest is in college), and 3 fur babies (ranging from puppy to super senior). I’m the “crazy dog mom” that throws elaborate birthday parties for my dogs and takes them on our vacations. My husband and I treat every single pup as our own! We get that trusting us with your fur baby means you’re trusting us with your life- we are all about giving them VIP care!

Cheridyn & Gil were great taking in our dog on short notice after being recommended by our previous sitter who had relocated. They were super responsive and communicative, I can tell our girl was in good care. Will be rebooking with them in the future!
Cheridyn & Gil are amazing! They were able to take Cheddar super last minute (within 2 hours of messaging them) after an issue with our previous Rover. We got so many pictures and videos throughout the weekend. They have gorgeous home and definitely love their Rover doggies like their own! Highly recommend!
They were SO patient and flexible with our Bailey! I loved how they wanted to know more about her and her background in order to understand her behaviors better. You can tell they love and understand dogs!!💕
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience for Casper. They took care of him for over 3 weeks and went above and beyond from the very beginning, even accommodating an earlier drop off than originally planned. We received daily photos and videos which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. What impressed us most was the positive change we saw in Casper. He’s eating less now, which is much healthier for his size, and he became much more comfortable around other dogs, something he previously struggled with. It’s clear they genuinely cared for him like their own. We’re incredibly grateful and would absolutely trust them to take care of Casper again in the future. Highly recommend!

Cheridyn and Gil were amazing with Moscato. They were very attentive and sent updates throughout the day via videos and photos. Moscato warmed up quickly to them which was so great to see. I would highly recommend them for your dog day care or overnight needs.

About us: Gil and I have both lived with and cared for dogs of various breeds, temperaments, and nursed them through all stages of life. We both work in healthcare, with at least one of us working from home 5 days a week. Outside of work, we enjoy taking the dog(s) out for a leisurely walk/jog. I was on our city’s Youth Competitive Sports Program’s Board of Directors and my husband created and built Mountain House’s 1st competitive youth Track & Field program- so we understand the importance of running a reputable and professional business. Now that our human kids have aged out, we love spending time fostering for the local shelters too. Our Pet Care Model: We believe great care starts with great communication. That’s why we offer an opportunity for an introductory phone call or constant messaging to discuss your pup’s personality, schedule, health needs, and routines. Because every dog adjusts differently, we carefully introduce dogs one-on-one to ensure compatibility and comfort for everyone. During busy seasons (summer and holidays), we prioritize crate-trained dogs — this helps us maintain calm, safe group feedings and downtime. We provide multiple sizes of disinfected crates and beds, but if your dog doesn’t crate at night, we can accommodate up to one non-crated dog per day with a customized setup. Our home features gated sections to safely separate dogs by size, age, energy level, and temperament. Each dog will be assessed in order to set them up to feel the most comfortable. Other amenities: Your pup will enjoy supervised indoor–outdoor time through our doggy door, plus access to a fully fenced backyard equipped with: • A large gazebo for shade or rain cover • Two decks for down time and sunbathing • Artificial grass and a sand dog run for playtime We pride ourselves on keeping the environment clean, safe, and fun — your pup’s stay will feel like a mini vacation in a dog-friendly backyard oasis! Last-minute bookings are welcome, pending availability.

We also offer video calls or in-person meet & greets before booking to ensure a great fit and to learn how we can best personalize your pup’s stay. Long-term stay discounts are available.

At home, during play time, we have baskets of dog toys they can play with or fetch, and dog enrichment toys too!
