Welcome to Paws on Puente! 🐾 We’re so happy you’re here! Paws on Puente is a fully licensed, premium home-based dog daycare and boarding experience in Mountain House, CA. Unlike large kennel facilities, we thoughtfully manage our pack by carefully evaluating each dog’s size, age, energy level, and temperament. This allows us to create safe, well-balanced playgroups while ensuring every pup receives plenty of personalized attention, supervised play, and love. My name is Cher, and I’m an experienced dog mom who truly loves caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I have three grown children (our youngest is graduating college soon!) and three fur babies ranging from a playful puppy to a super senior. If you ask anyone who knows me, they’ll tell you I’m the “crazy dog mom”—our dogs are family, and they even come along on our vacations! My husband, Gil, and I treat every guest as if they were our own because we know you’re trusting us with one of the most important members of your family. Our goal is to provide every pup with a safe, fun, and loving home away from home.

Cheridyn and Gil were amazing with our dog Otis during his 5 days stay. We got lots of updates with pictures and videos of him having a great time. Pick up and drop off was quick and easy. Would definitely book with them again.
I’m so glad I came across their profile on Rover! My dog had a great time staying with them. They sent pictures and videos every day, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. My dog also got plenty of playtime and attention, so I never had to worry about him missing us or feeling sad. Highly recommend!

Amazing sitters. I had to book last minute when my plans changed but they were incredibly responsive / flexible, sent a lot of photo and video updates, and made me feel comfortable while being away. Would definitely book again
Cheridyn & Gil were great taking in our dog on short notice after being recommended by our previous sitter who had relocated. They were super responsive and communicative, I can tell our girl was in good care. Will be rebooking with them in the future!
Cheridyn & Gil are amazing! They were able to take Cheddar super last minute (within 2 hours of messaging them) after an issue with our previous Rover. We got so many pictures and videos throughout the weekend. They have gorgeous home and definitely love their Rover doggies like their own! Highly recommend!

About Us Gil and I have spent years caring for dogs of many different breeds, temperaments, and life stages—from energetic puppies to senior dogs needing a little extra TLC. We’re both working professionals, with at least one of us working from home every weekday, so your pup will receive plenty of supervision, companionship, and attention throughout the day. Outside of work, we love spending time with our dogs by going on walks, hikes, kayaking adventures, and exploring together. We also enjoy giving back to our community. I previously served on Mountain House’s Youth Competitive Sports Board of Directors, and Gil founded the community’s first competitive youth Track & Field program. Now that our children are grown, we’ve shifted that passion into fostering dogs for local shelters and providing exceptional care for our boarding guests. Our Pet Care Philosophy We believe exceptional care starts with great communication. Before your dog’s stay, we’re happy to schedule an introductory phone call or communicate through Rover to learn about your pup’s personality, daily routine, medical needs, favorite activities, and any special preferences. Every dog is introduced slowly and individually to ensure they’re comfortable and compatible with the rest of the pack. During busy seasons and holidays, we prioritize crate-trained dogs because it allows us to safely manage feeding times, rest periods, and overnight routines. We provide sanitized crates and comfortable beds in multiple sizes. If your dog typically sleeps outside of a crate, we can accommodate one non-crated overnight guest at a time with a customized sleeping arrangement. Our home is thoughtfully designed with gated areas that allow us to separate dogs by size, age, energy level, and temperament when needed, ensuring every guest feels safe, relaxed, and successful during their stay. Your Dog’s Stay Your pup will enjoy supervised indoor and outdoor access throughout the day using our doggy door, along with our fully fenced backyard featuring: • Large shaded gazebo for sunny or rainy days • Two spacious decks for relaxing and sunbathing • Artificial turf and a sand play area for zoomies and enrichment Our goal is to provide a clean, safe, structured, and loving environment where every stay feels like a fun vacation with friends. Last-minute bookings are welcome whenever availability allows.

At home, during play time, we have baskets of dog toys they can play with or fetch, and dog enrichment toys too!
