Abby did a great job with our dog Ritmo while we were on vacation. It was the first time we used this service and we couldn't have been more lucky. She took care of our baby like it was her own. If you are looking for someone responsible, trustworthy and loving to your pet Abby is highly recommended. Thank you

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is the level of personalized care and attention I give to every pet. I treat each dog like they're my own, making sure they feel safe, loved, and understood. I have experience with both energetic puppies who need structure and stimulation, as well as senior dogs who require a gentler touch and extra patience. I'm comfortable with administering medications, following specific routines, and reading body language to ensure your pet is happy and stress-free. Whether it's playtime, training, or just some good cuddle time, I adapt to what your dog needs most. I’m very flexible and I’ll always do my best to fit your needs in my schedule! I’m currently a full time deli clerk however with a 2 week notice I would happily be available to take care of your pups/home! I do not offer weekly services sorry! Whether I'm caring for pets in my home or yours, my priority is always creating a safe, comfortable, and loving environment. I stick closely to their normal routines-feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and bedtime-to help them feel secure and at ease. In your home, I make sure to respect your space while giving your pet my full attention and care. In my home, I keep things clean, cozy, and pet-friendly, with plenty of room to play and relax. I also send regular updates and photos, so you always know your pet is in good hands.

About: I’ve taken care of three dogs at one house and house sat. I’ve taken care of three other different breeds of dogs at one house and house sat. I’ve then let two different families bring their dogs here at different times and sat them for a month in the summer. Iva also went to a house and dog sat an old dog and a baby cat. For the summer, I’m free all the time! During the school year, I go to community college so after 1pm, I am almost always free, I can also wake up early to check in. I have a fenced house, with a large amount of land. As for your house, I will make sure your animals are always cared for and feel safe at home.

About: I've had dogs my entire life so I have experience with dogs of all ages. I currently have a dog and two cats, and I'm also trusted in my neighborhood and amongst family and friends as someone to watch their animals when they're gone. Im a full time college student but I usually always have my own animals in my bedroom with me, sitting under (or on top of) my desk while I work. I have a friendly dog who absolutely loves play dates, so your dog would never get bored. My backyard is quite large so the dogs have tons of room to run around and play. The fences are regularly checked for holes under them to ensure our dog can't get out. I also have two large cat cages in my home where each of my cats sleep, but if needed, they can sleep in the same cage and the other one can be used to provide your pet some privacy, with their own food and water dishes. I have many many many interactive cat toys so even while i'm working, they can play with the toys that are attached to my desk and walls, along with scratching posts.

About: I’ve been caring for pets on my own since I was young and have always had a strong love for animals. Growing up, I regularly helped take care of pets for family, friends, and people in my community, including feeding, walking, playing with, and making sure they were safe and comfortable. I’ve also spent time volunteering at animal shelters, where I gained hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats with different personalities, energy levels, and needs. Volunteering at shelters has taught me to be patient, attentive, and understanding with every animal, especially those who may be nervous or need extra attention. I truly enjoy spending time with animals and want every pet I care for to feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their owners are away. 🐶🐱❤️ I currently have a flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, house sitting, and overnight stays. I’m happy to work around your pet’s routine and make sure they receive the exercise, attention, and care they need. I’m flexible with scheduling and can often accommodate different times throughout the week. 🐾 Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priority. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and specific needs so they feel comfortable while you’re away. I want you to have peace of mind knowing your pet is getting genuine attention, patience, and affection—not just a quick check-in. I’m attentive during walks and playtime, make sure pets are supervised, and always keep doors, gates, and leashes secure. When caring for pets in their home, I treat their space with the same respect I would my own and make sure everything is left clean and secure. I’m also happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can feel comfortable knowing your pet is safe and being well cared for.

About: I’ve cared for dogs of all ages and personalities and truly love spending time with animals. I’m a patient, dependable, and attentive caregiver who treats every pet like family. My dogs have always been a huge part of my life, including my sweet RayRay, who taught me so much about patience, love, and the special bond we share with our pets. I recently adopted my French Bulldog, Ichabod (“Iggy”), and I’m continuing to learn and understand each dog’s unique needs. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, medication (if needed), or lots of love and attention, I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and I’ll care for them as if they were my own. I love being able to include pets in my daily routine. I plan my schedule around making sure they get the care, attention, and love they need. Whether it’s walks, playtime, meals, or just keeping them company, I enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe and comfortable while their family is away. Creating a safe and comfortable space for pets is very important to me. I know how much trust it takes to leave someone with your furry family member, and I take that responsibility seriously. I pay attention to the little things — their habits, boundaries, and what helps them feel relaxed. In my home or yours, I’ll treat your pet and your space with the same care and respect I would want for my own. I’ll follow your instructions closely and make sure your pet feels secure, cared for, and loved while you’re away.

About: I love ALL animals! Dogs, cats, chickens, goats, you name it. I have 2 pets of my own. I have an almost 4yr old all black Bombay cat (Smudge) and 1yr old Border Collie (Moose). I got Moose when he was 7 weeks old, so high energy dogs, I can take care of those too. I have been taking care of my mom’s cats for many years as well, she has 7. I take care of other people's animals as is if they're my own. I enjoy walking dogs, and if I could walk dogs for a living, I definitely would!! I've even chicken sat! :) I also enjoy just spending time with a dog or cat around. I'm also a runner, so if I need to run with a dog, I'm willing to do so. I can walk any amount of time whether it's 15 minutes or an hour. I love dogs and cats and will take care of them as if they're my own. See photos for all the pets I've had and taken care of!! I'm available all day on the weekends and in the evenings during the week. It would most likely be after 5pm Monday through Friday that I can make myself available. Like I've mentioned, I take care of animals like they're mine. I act and treat them exactly the same. I love all animals equally! Your pets will be in great care with me.

About: Raised in an animal-filled home and currently caring for my own household of four dogs, four cats, and over 20 reptiles, providing attentive, specialized pet care is second nature to me. My extensive hands-on experience spans multi-pet management, exotic habitat care, and handling medically complex needs, including precise oral medications, strict routines, and tailored support for senior or anxious pets. As a dedicated pet parent myself, I know how critical it is to find someone you can truly trust with your family members and I promise to treat and love your pets with the exact same devotion, patience, and care as my own while you are away. About: My experience comes from owning not just dogs (XL-XS) and cats, but many animals in my lifetime. To me, living with these animals is the best way to gain experience. I have also done many house sitting jobs for people with lots of pets, and it’s something I genuinely enjoy doing. To me, the most important thing is establishing trust with your sitter, and I am a guaranteed safe person to trust any animal with. I’m great at reading animal body language and typically do well with all pets. I work at Panera, so my hours are not crazy, and never are usually longer than 4 hours, so pet sitting works great with my schedule. My college is also online so that doesn’t effect my schedule for the most part. In a clients home, it’s important to follow all of the instructions they provide, while also making their pets feel as if the owners never left.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Holt. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Holt.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Holt. On Rover:

  • 90% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
