Abby did a great job with our dog Ritmo while we were on vacation. It was the first time we used this service and we couldn't have been more lucky. She took care of our baby like it was her own. If you are looking for someone responsible, trustworthy and loving to your pet Abby is highly recommended. Thank you

About: I've had dogs my entire life so I have experience with dogs of all ages. I currently have a dog and two cats, and I'm also trusted in my neighborhood and amongst family and friends as someone to watch their animals when they're gone. Im a full time college student but I usually always have my own animals in my bedroom with me, sitting under (or on top of) my desk while I work. I have a friendly dog who absolutely loves play dates, so your dog would never get bored. My backyard is quite large so the dogs have tons of room to run around and play. The fences are regularly checked for holes under them to ensure our dog can't get out. I also have two large cat cages in my home where each of my cats sleep, but if needed, they can sleep in the same cage and the other one can be used to provide your pet some privacy, with their own food and water dishes. I have many many many interactive cat toys so even while i'm working, they can play with the toys that are attached to my desk and walls, along with scratching posts.

About: *great references available upon request. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.* Hi there! I have been in the animal care business my whole life. Growing up on a ranch taught me a lot about horses, dogs, cats and the outdoors. I am very knowledgeable in terms of animal health and behavior. I have been entrusted with many great animals in my lifetime, and it's so rewarding to get to know each individual pet and their families. Having raised my own German Shepherds, I was able to apply and learn what I needed to create a good all around dog. My personal dogs have given me and edge in how I communicate with each dog that comes into my care. I understand all dogs are different and I like taking things slow, and building trust and confidence in the long run. I take pride in providing the greatest care to each individual pet. I have references for house/pet sitting, dog walks, basic dog grooming, Kennel Management, Dog Breeding, ranch caretaking, barn manager, foreman, assistant to horse trainer, from/horse care/feed/lay up. I also have background in House Cleaning, in home caregiving and Personal Assistant roles. I am accustomed to taking care of my own personal pets daily. I check their food/water in am and pm. and usually lunch time. I take them out for constant bathroom breaks, play time, exercise. Double checking doors, locks. Safety First. Ensuring all and any gear are working well, (collar, leash, harness etc) I reach out to you periodically during visits / walks/ boarding/ sitting. I am available for any questions, comments, and concerns.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a kid. But, when I acquired more responsibilities was when I moved in with my sister to SoCal and I started helping her take care of her dogs, two schnauzers and one yorkie. I would take them hiking, walking, and to the grooming salon. I would buy them enrichment toys and play with them every evening. Then, when I moved to NorCal for school, I adopted a dog, a Labrador. Now, I do the same as before but with more mental and physical exercise since my dog requires it. Taking care of dogs has always been part of me, my grandma was the same and that’s something she gifted me. I enjoy every aspect of it and the responsibilities that come with it. Dogs are a big responsibility and I will make sure to take care of your doggy, as if it’s mine. I am currently working from home so I have plenty of time to play and take care of your doggy. Currently with Hunter we go out four times a day, two times for physical exercise and potty breaks and the other two times only for walks to go potty. Hunter loves to play fetch and hide and seek. We hide the ball and he searches for it, this is his favorite game and it works for mental and physical exercise. We are very active and we exercise Hunter a lot but if your doggy is not like that, no problem, we can go only for walks and Hunter can play by himself. I have a fenced yard and a catio (patio for cats) where my cats spend most of the day. Dogs don’t have access to the catio since that’s the cats safe place. Hunter and the cats get along but my cats don’t play much with hunter, they are very lazy and only care about sleeping, sunbathing, and wet food. Hunter is VERY friendly, the nicest dog I ever known and loves to play all the time. Hunter has been around dogs of multiple sizes and ages from a 10 year old yorkie to a 2 year old labrador. Hunter is not neutered but he is not aggressive and territorial other than marking plants and trees outside at the park.

About: I have 7 years of pet-sitting experience, starting with dogs and expanding into specialized cat care. Five years ago, I began volunteering at a cat rescue and discovered a gift for connecting with scared, shy, and feral cats. I hold a Certificate of Completion from Fear Free Shelters, with training in reducing stress and anxiety in cats and dogs. I’m also experienced giving oral medications to cats and dogs and subcutaneous fluids to cats. As a proud owner of two rescue cats, HalfPint and Nesta, I understand how hard it can be to leave your pets behind. I treat every pet as my own, providing loving care, playtime, companionship, and attention to their individual needs. My goal is to give your pets the best care possible while giving you peace of mind, so you can enjoy your vacation knowing your furry family members are safe, happy, and well cared for. I am available to feed ferals cats at a discounted rate, so your ferals can eat while you're away. I look forward to being your Whisker Watcher. I do have a full-time job, but I am able to do drop ins before and after work. On Thursday's and Friday's, I am also able to do drop ins on my lunch hour, as I work from home. I treat everyone’s pet the way I want my pets to be treated, with patience, kindness, love, & playtime. I follow directions well and appreciate as much information as I can get about your pet.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Orwood. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Orwood.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Orwood. On Rover:

  • 89% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
