“Bonnie watched my little Chihuhua while I was at a wedding from out of town and I was very happy with her. My girl Toph is a rescue so she can be nervous but she loves people and cuddling. It was immediately clear that Bonnie and her kids were kind and gentle, exactly what Toph needed! I was very reassured to meet them at drop off. She also sent me photo updates, which was incredibly kind because I’ve only had her a few months and I was nervous, too! Im from out of town, but would 100% use her again if needed.”

About: Hi, I’m Cristal! Dogs have been a cherished part of my life for over 20 years and caring for them is truly one of my greatest joys. As a devoted dog mom myself, I understand how much trust it takes to leave your beloved family member in someone else’s care. My goal is to provide a safe and loving home where every dog feels happy and cared for like a vacation for them too. I treat each pup like my own with plenty of attention, playtime, and cuddles. When your dog stays with us, they’re not just a guest they’re family. ❤️ I’m currently a stay at home mom with a sweet toddler and two friendly Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, which means I’m home most days and able to provide lots of supervision, companionship, and care throughout the day. We have a large fenced yard where pups can safely run, play, and explore. They are welcome to come in and relax inside the house, stretch out on cozy beds, play with toys, and enjoy being part of our family’s daily routine. We also live next to a beautiful walking trail making it easy to give your pup plenty of exercise, fresh air and new smells to enjoy.
“I can not thank Anton enough for taking such great care of my baby Bruno. Anton sent pictures and updates thought out Bruno’s stay. I felt very fortunate to find such a great sitter. Anton’s home was set up perfectly for dogs. I’m glad I found Anton and will definitely need him in the future. Thank you again. 🐶🐾💕”

“Anu did a great job with our Athena girl. Our baby was fresh post op from a broken hind leg and needed a little extra TLC, which she provided. She did a great job keeping us updated with texts, pictures, and video. Would highly recommend Anu to anyone. She is great!”

“I’m so happy with the care Jagruti gave to my cutie, Pluto! From the start, they were super friendly and made sure Pluto felt comfortable right away. They sent me regular updates with cute photos and kept me in the loop the whole time. They took care of Pluto as their own dogs. Pluto looked so happy and well taken care of when I got back. I could tell he had a great time! I definitely recommend Jagruti if you’re looking for someone reliable and caring. Pluto will definitely be staying with them again!”

“Tracey is an awesome personality with dogs. My dog felt at home with her at her lovely home. I was kinda worried because my dog is a big boy in size but I couldn't have found any better person but her. ROCHUS is already asking "when are we going back" woff.”

“Thank you for the incredible experience for Prince and for me was so easy and really top notch service. Very timely and very engaging. I will definitely book again. Thank you for my dogs 5Star service.”

About: From a friend I adopted Spooky, a black Halloween cat, more than thirty years ago. He slept curled against me every night for the rest of his long life. After my wife and I bought our first home together, we became a dog household and adopted Roxy from a local shelter, a shepherd husky mix. She stayed with us through her senior years. Since then, we've trained three doodle puppies and rescued Tiffany, a breeder mama. We cared for her all the way through her struggle with lymphoma. My schedule is rather flexible for Rover clients around gardening and practicing vocal music for my community choir. You get a substitute Pet Papa for your best friend, and I get to spend time with dogs and cats, while I earn a little extra income for gardening supplies and paining classes. It’s a Win-Win. Drop in visits for dogs and cats to feed, water and exercise. I can also give oral medications. Only one dog at a time for boarding and day care. Our three friendly doodles welcome your best friend to enjoy pack hospitality in our large, dog safe yard and home. Located in a quiet gated community. I’m happy to pickup and return your friend within ten miles. Rabbits and squirrels visit from nearby open space, so current vaccinations should include Leptospirosis.
“Georgia was so great with Agi. Sent photos with updates. I couldn’t ask for a better sitter. Agi got along great with the other dogs and came home very tired. Which is a good thing.”

“It was my grandson’s first birthday and I did not want my small dog and her foot. I had a meet and greet with Joanne and I could tell that she was definitely a dog lover. She came and picked Dolly up at the house and dropped her off at 5 PM, she sent me pictures throughout the day of my dog. Super nice person and a dog lover. I will definitely use her services again.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 1,185 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Orwood. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Orwood commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 1,185 sitters in Orwood, 86% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
