“Paulo was nothing short of amazing! Our high energy pitbull had an accident and hurt her back legs the week prior to leaving and we were so anxious to leave her! Paulo was able to give her the medications she needed with no issues (which she does not have an easy time doing). He was super quick and responsive, answered any questions promptly and sent tons of videos and photos every day he took care of her. He went above and beyond to give us peace of mind and assure us that our dog is in good hands. I cannot recommend him enough and we will absolutely be booking with him again!”

“Brian (Esther's husband, they work as a pair!) was great! Always on time and very patient with my mischievous husky, even when he wanted to play tug of war with some foul smelling contents on his last scheduled walk, he washed him off, and then came back to check on him despite not needing to! I would definitely recommend!”

“Tracey responded right away when I messaged her which was so great because I was leaving the next day and was desperate for someone to walk my little buddy. She was fantastic!! She came and met me and Troy first, which I felt was important for my dog as well as for me. She gave me updates and pictures of my dog on his walks. I was a little apprehensive using a service like this as I never have before, but I will definitely be seeking out Tracey again to take care of my buddy, Troy. She was the best!”

“I seriously want to give her more than 5 stars!!! She took such excellent care of my sweet puppy and the pictures proved just how much love and fun they had! I HIGHLY recommend Angie!”

“We hired Dawna to walk our two labs while we were gone for 5 days. She did an excellent job taking care of them, feeding them and ensuring they got their exercise. She regularly communicated with us and provided updates and photos. She also was always on time. We are very pleased with her service and our dogs took a liking to her for sure. She has dogs of her own and was in her comfort zone. I highly recommend her and we will use her again if needed. Thanks Dawna!”

About: For years we have pet-sat for many of our friends and family and just love it! 🐾 We have spent the last 2 years on Trusted House Sitters, sitting pets from all around the world! I’m from London and my husband is from the East Bay and - we both work remotely and are digital nomads! We are HUGE animal lovers and take care of our family and friend's cats, dogs (from small to large), guinea pigs, fish, chickens and more. We have also volunteered at the local stray/ rescue centers in the countries we have lived abroad in, so we both have a good understanding of animal behavior and signs. We completely understand that leaving your pets & finding care can be super stressful (especially if it's your first time away!) and that’s where we love to help! 💓 While you are away we will make sure to give your animal(s) tons of love, care, pets, playtime and ensure a safe and happy staycation for them! During our visits/stays we put your pet(s) needs as our #1 priority. We will walk them, play with them, clean cages, litter boxes, and of course provide fresh food and water - anything to make your pet the most comfortable, and to give you peace of mind while you are away. ⭐️ We both have big hearts and will do everything in our power to make your pets as happy as they can be! ⭐️ We love building relationships with the animals we sit & hate saying goodbye! ⭐️ We love leaving your home better than we entered ⭐️ We love watching ALL ANIMALS ✅ No charge for second animals ✅ If you live close by, we can drop in and out as needed. ✅ We are happy to pickup mail, water plants and trash bins, etc. We look forward to speaking with you soon! We both work remotely and are digital nomads! We are currently in the Brentwood East Bay area but since we work remotely & own a car, we can take care of your pets anywhere in the Bay Area! We are flexible and adaptable to all schedules 😊 We make sure to have all of the safety precautions in place and ask the important questions (and behaviors we need to be aware of) in order to provide your animals with the safest and best care - keeping them safe, healthy, and happy! 🙏
About: I have been a professional dog walker and pet sitter for 7 years and have cared for many animals through the course of my life ranging from mice and snakes to mastiffs and great danes. No animal is too big or small for me and your beloved fur babies will be well cared for and spoiled when given permission! I have worked with puppies and kittens as young as 3 months to dogs and cats over 15 years of age. I can offer lots of exercise and engagement or if your fur kid just liked to lounge, we can do that too! Whatever you and your fur kid needs, I'm your guy! Right now I have a lot of free time while looking for employment so my days are wide open. I do doordash in the evenings around 6-9 but those can easily be rescheduled when necessary. In my clients home, whatever my client needs I am willing to provide. If you need oral medication administered, specific dietary instructions for your fur babies, mental or physical engagement or maybe you just don't want your pet to feel alone, I'm your guy! You let me know what you need and I will provide that!
“Christina was just the best! She is super communicative and gave us great updates on Odessa along with pictures from the walks they took together. Odessa really bonded with Christina and was always thrilled to see her for each walk. We would certainly reach out to Christina first if we ever need dog walking again.”

Best in the biz!”

“Fawnn is absolutely wonderful! She came to meet my little family before setting up a walk and made sure she was familiar and comfortable with my dogs. She was super understanding and accommodating of my insane and ever-changing schedule. Thank you Fawnn for taking amazing care of my dogs and for being so sweet, responsive, and lovely! The kiddos adore you!”

“I have never used a dog walk service before but was going out of town and thought it would be a nice treat for my dog who was already having someone come to feed and take him out for bathroom breaks. Vanessa did a great job and I just know my dog was so happy to have someone take him for his walks. Vanessa was professional, on time, communicative and took adorable pictures and wrote a description of each walk. She even offered to come meet Bruno the day before the walk. Thanks Vanessa! ?”

We had an amazing experience with her as our dog walker/sitter. She is incredibly good at handling dogs and immediately made ours feel comfortable—even when they were anxious. She truly personalizes the care to each dog’s needs, walks them often, and treats them as if they were her own. She is also very flexible and understanding with scheduling. We had to change our hours on short notice, and she was more than willing to accommodate us without any issues. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing our dogs were in such caring and capable hands. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate, and attentive dog walker/sitter.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
