“Ally was great with our cat. He is normally very shy with strangers, but took treats for from her on the first visit. He was his normal chatty self during her 2nd visit. Ally was great with communication and very professional. I appreciated getting multiple pictures. We will definitely hire her again!”

“This was my first time using Rover as I’ve been skeptical and hesitant to use online pet sitting services. However, the experience with Angela has made me much more comfortable with using Rover. I enjoyed that I was able to do a meet and greet with her beforehand and introduce my kitty to her. Angela was very informative in the updates provided which reassured me that my kitty was in good, caring hands. As long as she’s available in the future, I will be rebooking with Angela. I highly recommend her 😊”

About: Obsessed with animals is basically my personality 🐾💕 I’ve spent years caring for all kinds of pets and livestock, including being involved in 4-H, where I learned how to handle and care for animals of all shapes and sizes. I currently have two pups of my own, so I totally understand how important it is to trust someone with your babies. I also have experience caring for dogs with special needs, including administering medication for diabetic pets, so you can feel confident your pet is in safe, capable hands. I’m super reliable, attentive, and treat every animal like they’re my own—lots of love, patience, and belly rubs included 🤍 Pet care is naturally a part of my everyday life! I have two dogs of my own, so my daily routine already includes feeding, walking, playtime, and lots of attention and love. I structure my schedule to make sure I have plenty of time for pet care, whether that’s morning and evening visits, drop-ins throughout the day, or overnight stays. I’m very consistent with routines and understand how important it is to keep pets on their normal schedule. Because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, caring for them never feels like a task—it’s something I look forward to and prioritize in my week 🤍🐾 Your pets aren’t just pets—they’re family, and I treat them that way 🤍 I always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in a calm, loving environment. I follow your pet’s routine as closely as possible and pay attention to their behavior, needs, and any special instructions you provide. Whether I’m in your home or mine, safety is always my top priority, and I want you to feel completely confident leaving your fur babies with me.

About: I’ve had many pups in my life but right now I do not have any pups living in my home. I’ve been enjoying spending time with all my rover friends! My home has a fenced backyard and a common area dog run. I work from home so I will be around to play, give treats and go on walks all day! Dogs are allowed on the furniture and beds here. Working from home means I will be hanging with the pups almost all day every day except for errands. Walks every couple hours and lots of snuggles on the couch! There are no children in the home. I have a fenced yard for running and playing. I have a large kennel/crate inside the house in case your pup needs it and have lots of toys and dog beds for lounging. The pups are free to roam my home as if it was their own while I am out. Doors stay locked and no one enters unless the pets are secured so no one darts out the door! Food stays off countertops so there are no human snacks available to be snuck. Poop is scooped after every go!

Ally took great care of our kitty crew, was available on short notice too! She seems to have a good feel for our cats' different personalities which range from super friendly to antisocial with people they don't know. Definitely recommend, will request her services again!
Angela is so kind and took excellent care of my kitty girl! She's a very anxious and untrusting kitty but Angela was able to build an impressive amount of trust with her while we were away. I'm so glad to have found a great sitter for our baby and I'd recommend Angela to anyone!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
