Angela was wonderful with Elmore! He’s normally very timid with strangers and hides. He allowed her to pet him during her 2nd visit, and was his normal vocal self. :) I appreciate her approach and am happy he was happy to see her. We will definitely be hiring Angela again in the future.

About: I have had dogs all my life. I also was a successful breeder for 15 years before giving it up. I am very knowledgeable about dog behavior and needs. I also foster dogs at times in my home. I have just lost my best buddy of 18 years. Do not want to get another so decided I do pet sitting and love on your pet. I am retired and have plenty of time. I have a fenced yard and a doggie door for dogs to go in and out as at will. My yard is a decent size so dogs can get exercise.

About: I have been caring for animals in my personal life as far back as I can remember, and I’ve also worked with them professionally for the past 6 years. I have emergency medical, standard medical care for chronic/acute conditions, and physical therapy experience for dogs. I currently work Monday through Friday, standard work schedule. I have base access! I will be able to drop by before work and after, if housed with me they will be alone for a bit during the day, but I will spend each evening/night with them. I have a large fenced backyard and have 2 dogs at home. They have always gotten along with other dogs and I’ve never had an issue with them starting fights.

About: Obsessed with animals is basically my personality 🐾💕 I’ve spent years caring for all kinds of pets and livestock, including being involved in 4-H, where I learned how to handle and care for animals of all shapes and sizes. I currently have two pups of my own, so I totally understand how important it is to trust someone with your babies. I also have experience caring for dogs with special needs, including administering medication for diabetic pets, so you can feel confident your pet is in safe, capable hands. I’m super reliable, attentive, and treat every animal like they’re my own—lots of love, patience, and belly rubs included 🤍 Pet care is naturally a part of my everyday life! I have two dogs of my own, so my daily routine already includes feeding, walking, playtime, and lots of attention and love. I structure my schedule to make sure I have plenty of time for pet care, whether that’s morning and evening visits, drop-ins throughout the day, or overnight stays. I’m very consistent with routines and understand how important it is to keep pets on their normal schedule. Because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, caring for them never feels like a task—it’s something I look forward to and prioritize in my week 🤍🐾 Your pets aren’t just pets—they’re family, and I treat them that way 🤍 I always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in a calm, loving environment. I follow your pet’s routine as closely as possible and pay attention to their behavior, needs, and any special instructions you provide. About: I’ve had many pups in my life but right now I do not have any pups living in my home. I’ve been enjoying spending time with all my rover friends! My home has a fenced backyard and a common area dog run. I work from home so I will be around to play, give treats and go on walks all day! Dogs are allowed on the furniture and beds here. Working from home means I will be hanging with the pups almost all day every day except for errands. Walks every couple hours and lots of snuggles on the couch! There are no children in the home. I have a fenced yard for running and playing. I have a large kennel/crate inside the house in case your pup needs it and have lots of toys and dog beds for lounging. Stop by for a meet and greet if you would like before booking! I typically only leave the house for an hour or so a day to use the gym down the road. The pups are free to roam my home as if it was their own while I am out. Doors stay locked and no one enters unless the pets are secured so no one darts out the door! Food stays off countertops so there are no human snacks available to be snuck. Poop is scooped after every go!

This was my first time using Rover as I’ve been skeptical and hesitant to use online pet sitting services. However, the experience with Angela has made me much more comfortable with using Rover. I enjoyed that I was able to do a meet and greet with her beforehand and introduce my kitty to her. Angela was very informative in the updates provided which reassured me that my kitty was in good, caring hands. As long as she’s available in the future, I will be rebooking with Angela. I highly recommend her 😊

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Mountain Home stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
