“Maila 🐶 was very well taken care of! They came to check on her twice a day, fed her, played with her, and made sure she got time outside with her ball 🐾🎾. She felt comfortable, cared for, and loved while we were away. Thank you so much for taking such good care of her — we truly appreciated it! 💕”

“Danielle did great with my dog! My dog has high energy and isn’t often left alone. Danielle did not seem phased by my crazy girl and her antics. She was dependable, left a detailed report with a lot of photos, and loved on my girl which made leaving her a bit easier! I definitely recommend Danielle and will book her for future needs!!”

“Julia is the best! She’s been regularly taking care of my Great Dane puppy (who can be a bit of a handful) for the past year and is absolutely phenomenal! Julia’s very friendly, trustworthy, reliable, patient, and caring. I can tell she treats my dog with the same compassion and love she gives to her pets at home! We love having Julia in our home!”

“Jessica was an amazing sitter for my pup! She asked a lot of questions about his diet and routine and made sure he was well taken care of. As an old fella he’s a little particular and she was very accommodating, I could see from her photos and videos that they were fast friends!”

“Lauren is always super quick to respond and so easy to work with! My dog loves seeing her when she comes to let her out! Lauren also takes such cute pictures of my pup, I look forward to them every time!”

“Again Erin made my pup's day by dropping in on them when I had a long day out of the house planned. She allowed me to slide the schedule a little bit which really helped. This made her visit line up with dinner time and I'm sure the girls love it. Thanks again Erin.”

“Juliana is wonderful, with the animals and with communication. She gives great updates with pictures and I always feel confident my fur babies are taken care of when she’s with them. Highly recommend her 🫶”

About: I have been taking care of pets since my late teens from volunteering at shelters to pet sitting I've done it all! I've taken care of pups from Chihuahuas to Cane Corso's. I also have years of professional experience after working as a receptionist in an animal hospital to now helping manage a dog boarding, daycare and grooming facility in downtown Austin! I do work full time in Austin Sun-Thurs 9-5 however before work, after work and on my days off I have fully dedicated to making sure your pup is loved and well taken care of, however that looks like such as hour long walks or cuddles on the couch, I can do it all! I am trained in Pet CPR However I have not updated my certification, I treat your fur babies how I expect mine to be treated. In way that keeps them safe, happy, and healthy. I will also send daily updates to let you know how everyone is to keep your mind at ease.

About: Hello! My name is Jade and I would love to meet your furry friends! I started Rover a few years ago but had to stop due to time constraints from my full time job, but now I’m committing all my time to pet care. Currently, I have three cats and two dogs, who are all rescues. I’ve had both of my dogs since they were only a few months old. So I understand the trials and tribulations of puppyhood…puppy training, crate training, obedience training, and leash walking. Hiccup and Paris both love other dogs! They have experience with dogs of all sizes! Hiccup is more of a cuddler and couch potato. Paris is higher energy and loves to play. They would be so excited to have a dog come stay with them. Feel free to set up a meet and greet! I stay at home full time now and my husband also works from home. So your pet will have constant adult supervision during their stay. I have a fenced backyard and a fenced play area in my neighborhood. I also live really close to a large public park with walking trails.
“Michelle is awesome! I needed someone last minute and she was available and willing to help out! It was my puppy’s first day home alone so I was super worried about her having accidents in the crate. Michelle was super understanding about that and willing to clean up and give her a bath if needed, which took away some of my stress! Michelle did everything I asked her to do for Lola. Later in the day, I saw (on my furbo) that Lola woke up and was crying to go to the bathroom but I was still an hour away from home so asked Michelle if she could go do another drop in visit right away and luckily she was able to! She saved the day, twice. Michelle also responded right away to the request and messages. I will definitely use her again whenever we need help! You should too!!”

About: Animals have been at the center of my world for as long as I can remember; I grew up in a family that owned cats since before I was born, and I’ve been learning how to care for them since early childhood—even hand-rearing a newborn kitten when I was just 12. Today, I care for my own two cats, look after four more for senior family members, and have regularly dog-sat a friend's Corgi for nearly two years. I'm currently working a flexible schedule. So I have plenty of opportunity to help out with your pets and whichever needs they may have. I have a great dog park at my apartment. I have all of the necessary skills and equipment to take care of your fur baby. I also have 2 cats that can keep your pet company, but I can easily isolate them if necessary.

I can’t recommend her enough! We reached out at the last minute after another sitter failed to show up on time for our dog’s critical medication schedule. Our dog, Melo, has severe epilepsy, so his medication timing is extremely important. On top of that, I had several delays on my end while trying to finalize everything, and she was incredibly patient, understanding, and kind throughout the entire process. She never made me feel rushed or like I was inconveniencing her, which I appreciated more than she probably knows. She arrived earlier than when she said she would, gave Melo his medication on time, and even stayed for slightly over 30 minutes instead of just giving meds and leaving. That extra care and compassion meant so much to us and gave us real peace of mind while we were away. She truly saved us in a stressful situation. If you need someone dependable, compassionate, and trustworthy-especially if your pet has medical needs- I would recommend her without hesitation. We’ll absolutely be booking with her again.

We love Grace and Alan! Bo was super excited to meet them and show them all his toys! Communication with them before, during and after the visit was perfect! I felt 1,000% comfortable leaving Bo in their care!! Bo even played tug o war with Alan which is a workout in and of itself! We will most definitely be scheduling more visits with Grace and Alan!

We used Michelle a second time so that we could go out on a long date night in Austin. This morning, I reviewed the security videos from last night to see how it went and came to the unfortunate realization that Michelle + treats + FURocious children = FUR babies. They were trying to bark and growl at Michelle, but they were wagging their tails and eating treats out of her hands. Michelle did a wonderful job taking care of our kids.

Christopher did an amazing job watching beaux. My dog beaux loved him and was very excited to meet and spend time with him. Christopher was also very helpful and communicated amazingly throughout the visits. He would send constant updates and pictures making the time away from my dog much easier! Thank you for all your help Christopher!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
