About: Growing up on an urban farm in California, I’ve always been around animals and pets my whole life. Moving to DC over 7 years ago was a milestone, but I missed being around dogs and cats. This is my opportunity to connect and for your pet to get the best care possible. As a deaf person, I rely on body language to communicate with pets. This means I am very observant and thorough with my tasks because I am more in tune with them. Every movement, turn of their ears, swish of their tail, even their smell, all means something to me. This is especially true in seniors and puppies. I have some experience working with seniors and understand that they require a lot of attention and special requests. I also have experience working with puppies, and have both the patience and the energy to care for them. I can match the energy of your pets, whether they want to play for hours, or chill on a couch (or both!). I believe that all pets deserve both mental and physical stimulation- after all, they are intelligent creatures with minds of their own. I look forward to your pets brightening up my days :) I’m currently searching for a better career opportunity while taking the time to care for myself. This means I am generally available during the traditional work hours during the weeks and weekends. I enjoy early mornings to myself and long bike rides— your pets would be a great excuse for me to bike around the city even more. I will first meet your pet before anything else and get to know you & them. From there, we can discuss details that your pet may require from me, such as specific behaviors to watch out for/address, spots to avoid, medicine, favorite toys, treats, and more. I will also ask you for your pet’s typical routine so they feel secure. For overnight stays, I will communicate as often as you’d like, whether that is hourly updates with pictures, or at specific times. Whatever works for you also works for me :) If anything comes up, I am always available via text.

“Lindsay is awesome! On time and super communicative. Her comfortability with Kai and overall experience is very comforting and Kai loved her. Looking forward to booking again soon!”

About: Not only do I love animals but I do provide feeding, ensuring a safe environment, lots of cuddles and playtime :). I have about 2-3 years worth of pet experience from dog walking, dog/cat sitting at clients home and boarding inside my home. I currently work full time during the day but I still make time to tend to my furry friends. During the week I am available for any service like dog walking, drop ins ( for potty breaks, to be fed, go on walks etc ) On the weekends I’m available for any service including overnight. If overnight is needed during the week please communicate that with me so I can try to accommodate as much as possible. I care for each pet by understanding their schedule. Understanding their routine in terms to feeding, exercise, potty walks etc is very important. One thing I like to do is observe and learn the pet. Once you take the time to learn you’re able to learn preferred activities/items and their routine.

“Poor Nengi unfortunately fell ill on the 3rd day, but still arrived to care for Zuri! I felt so guilty! She communicated clearly and worked with me to get my substitute settled for the last day of care.”

“Nick took great care of my cat Oreo and made sure she got all of the attention she deserves to soothe her anxiety while I was away. Nick is very responsive and communicative. Highly recommend!”

“Jocelyn was absolutely incredible! She was able to do drop ins with my pup over the holidays with absolutely zero issues. The daily notes were the absolute cutest and made me feel completely at ease. Jocelyn watched closely after I provided some holiday treats to ensure my little guy was tolerating it well - keeping me updated and making appropriate changes. Jocelyn even left a note and a kind toy! I genuinely could not thank her enough and would absolutely book again. It is attention to detail that will always stand out!!”

About: Starting at age 5 I had two dogs: a Maltipoo and a Cavapoo. They were the best dogs I could’ve asked for, but they passed away in 2022. My family has also had a Norwegian Forest Cat for 5 years. Throughout my life I’ve also volunteered at multiple animal shelters and sat for friends, family, and strangers. I have experience with training puppies and taking care of senior dogs. I love all animals, and they seem to love me too. I currently work remotely part time, so I’m able to work from anywhere. I can take breaks to walk, feed, and play with your pets as needed! I tailor my pet care to each client. Certain animals have certain needs, likes, and dislikes, just like us. I have a baseline care routine for cats and dogs, but I’m more than happy to adjust.

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life, from growing up with cats and birds to caring for my shy rescue husky. I’m comfortable working with nervous dogs, senior pets, and administering medication when needed. My focus is always on creating a safe, relaxed environment where pets feel loved and care for. Pet care is women into my daily life. I plan my mornings and evenings around my husky’s walks, feeding and playtime. I’m organized and flexible, so I can reliably fit your pet’s care into my routine and make sure they feel happy and safe while you’re away. Pets feel most comfortable at home, so I focus on maintaining their usual schedule and environment. I carefully follow feeding times, walks, play and medication instructions, all while providing gentle care and plenty of affections to keep them calm and happy while you are away.

About: I’ve had pets all my life and lost my French bulldog 2 years ago and I understand the stress of leaving your pet with a sitter. I’ve had puppies and taken care of elder dogs that need constant supervision or medication. I work full-time but have flexibility to work from home some days. I’m home on the weekends and have flexibility to make sure your pet is not left alone for long. I have a big fenced-in yard and lots of space in the house for your dog to roam. There are many nearby parks and trails for long walks.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind since I was 12. Neighbors, friends & family have relied on me to walk, feed, and bathe their pet. I’m currently working part-time, so I’ll have plenty of time to play with your pups! I’m available for boarding on weekends, and weekdays after 5. I have a fenced yard with my adorable dog Princess to keep your fur baby company. I can easily crate your dog if needed. Thx

About: It has been a while, but I am back to pet sitting. I used to board and pet sit on Rover for years and left for a while for other jobs, but hoping to start it up again. Ever since I was young I have had pets. From dogs, to cats, to lizards, I have had them all. I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes and ages. I have dealt with dogs and cats with anxiety, medical issues, as well as puppies and those that have issues that come with age. I also regularly volunteer at the local animal shelter and have had trainings there on how to deal with dogs from all walks of life. I am happy to play with animals, provide general care, help them get some exercise, or to just hang out with them to provide company. Animals have always brought me joy and I would love the opportunity to hang out with your pets! I work partially from home and can be flexible on those days (Friday through Tuesday), but I am expecting to be furloughed soon which which free up my time more every day of the week. If boarding, I have a fenced in yard and live in a residential area. There several small parks around that I could walk your dog in as well. I do have a dog at home that is friendly with other dogs, but can also easily separate her from other boarded animals as well if that is preferred.

He has stayed overnight at our home multiple times, and each visit he showers our two dogs with love and attention as if they were his own. Mount Rainier dog parents share their Rover experiences
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Madelyn is truly amazing! This was her first time meeting my senior pup, and I was a little nervous - but she instantly put us both at ease. She was gentle, patient, and so kind, and my dog took to her right away (which never happens on the first visit!). It’s clear she genuinely cares and understands how to work with older dogs. I’m so grateful we found her - we’re already looking forward to the next walk. Highly recommend!

Abigail took such great care of my two floofs in the afternoons. They loved her! She was available last minute multiple times, took them on great walks and wore them out just enough for a great afternoon nap. I got comfortable enough with her that I didn’t even worry anymore and was able to focus on my work. Very kind and reliable sitter!

Nicolas was great with my recently adopted pup! I was nervous about leaving her alone for a long stretch but he took great care of her and sent helpful updates. Also asked thoughtful questions and was sensitive to our needs, which put my mind at ease. Thanks, Nicolas

Words cannot adequately describe the level of care that Olivia gave to our fur baby Nala. Olivia updated us via text and photos each visit and when an incident that was not her fault occurred she reached out to a vet and treated our dog according to the vet's guidance. I cannot believe we got so lucky first time using Rover! We hope to stay connected to Olivia because she's not just a stellar dog sitter she's a great person!

Mike was amazing with Scooby! He watched him for a couple of weeks and took great care of him the whole time. He was very helpful, easy to communicate with, and made sure we stayed updated every day by sending videos. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing Scooby was in good hands. Highly recommend Mike to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring Rover 🙌🏽

Shreya provides really thorough updates and photos from her drop-ins. Really appreciated hearing how our pup was doing while we were out of town briefly. We had a small issue with the Rover app, but overall a great experience and would book her service again!

Seanna was a great drop-in sitter. She was attentive to our dog and followed our instructions. She also took good care of our home by bringing in mail and packages. Her communication was top-notch - she was prompt with reports cards and alerting us to any issues.
