“This is the second time we had Shanae sit for us and she was fantastic (again)! We trust her so much and have been very satisfied with the level of care she gives our pups.”

“Having Isabella at our house was such a huge relief. We were gone for a week and she sent lots of pictures of our dogs and stayed in contact with me the whole week. It provided such a peace of mind knowing our dogs and our home were well cared for so we could enjoy our family vacation! I will absolutely book her again in the future!”

“Alonna was great! Very responsive, good communication and took really good care of my Great Dane, Ozzy! She left my apartment in perfect condition. Will definitely book again! I highly recommend her.”

“Daniel was great with the fur babies. He was very responsive and sent lots of pictures. Both babies are long haired and he cleaned up all the leaves they brought in. He left the house cleaner then when he arrived.”

“Teagan did a great job watching Niko and left my apartment immaculate. Very kind and provided regular updates for Niko which put my mind at ease and let me enjoy my trip to the fullest. Definitely found a long term dog sitter!”

“Annie always does a phenomenal job! We had her stay at our house for several days, she gives regular updates and goes above and beyond to be a great pet sitter. Would highly recommend.”

“Ashton was a great sitter and met our needs last minute even. She was very communicative and updated us a few times a day on our dogs with pictures and their various activities. Our dogs are very used to someone being home a large portion of the day and she stayed home with them the entire time which was very appreciated. We will definitely be booking her again!”

“Great communication, went about and beyond, showed up early when I miscalculated our departure time and did a great job at keeping in touch to let us know the pups were good. We will use her again!”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for our German Shepherd and Husky during our week away. From the start, she was communicative, attentive, and clearly experienced with larger, high-energy breeds. She sent us photos and updates, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were gone. She also handled our German Shepherd perfectly, even on his more stubborn “butthead” moments — with patience, confidence, and care. It was obvious she knew exactly how to read him and respond appropriately. We came home to happy, well-cared-for dogs, and that means everything to us. We will absolutely be using her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring sitter.”

“Emily was fabulous! My dogs loved her from the second she met them. She gave updates each day & they were well taken care of! We are so happy to have found her & will be using her when we go on future trips!”

“Ranekqwa stayed at our house while we were out of town for a few days and we could not have been more pleased with how she cared for our dogs and our home! She was willing to come meet our dogs twice before the booking to ensure she would be a good fit and was comfortable with them. Above and beyond! She sent pictures, and updates throughout the stay which made us feel so comfortable leaving our dogs with her. She clearly cares for animals as if they were her own and is a kind, caring, and friendly person. We can’t recommend her enough!”

“Genellle is always so amazing with our senior dogs. Extra care, great communication. We always enjoy ourselves when we are out of town because we know they are in great hands!”

“Courtney was fantastic, start to finish. She was great with sending updates and pictures, and I never had a doubt that our dogs were well taken care of and loved while we were away. Courtney even did some extra cleaning at the house that was certainly above and beyond. Would recommend her without a moment’s hesitation, though selfishly I’d like to keep her calendar open for our pups.”

“Victory did terrific job with my three dogs! Victory administered thyroid medicine for one of my dogs twice a day. Victory was also wonderful with my puppy, and total she had three dogs and did an amazing job. Thank you!”

“Robert did a phenomenal job with copper. Very communicative each day. I can tell she was well cared for when we got home. Copper’s behavior when we arrive home from a trip can be a clear indicator of how she was cared for.”
“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review for McKenna McKenna was absolutely amazing and a true lifesaver for us. We reached out to her last minute after an unexpected situation with another sitter, and she stepped in without hesitation. From the moment she arrived, we felt at ease knowing our dogs were in good hands. Both of our pups have medical needs, and McKenna handled their care with professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine kindness. She kept us updated with messages and pictures, followed their medication schedule perfectly, and made sure they were comfortable, safe, and loved. Her reliability, compassion, and willingness to help us on such short notice meant the world to us. We could not be more grateful and would highly recommend McKenna to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to watch their pets. We will absolutely be booking with her again in the future!”

“Aleigha was great with our dog, Leo! She was super personable and attentive, and kept us updated throughout the evening with pictures and messages. We felt totally comfortable knowing Leo was in good hands. Highly recommend her!”

“Jenna provided excellent pet sitting care for our dog and two cats while we were away for 9 nights. Including an unexpected medical condition with our dog. She kept us informed on the pets and provided pictures regularly. We have used Jenna multiple times previously and highly recommend her for your pet sitting needs.”

Natalia was so amazing watching Gunnar and staying at our house while we were out of town. She was so incredibly sweet and caring with him, and we could tell right away that he was in great hands. Gunnar absolutely loved her and was so happy and comfortable with her! We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and would 100% recommend her to anyone. We will definitely be reaching out to her again to watch Gunnar!

Lori was great! She stayed at my house for 4 nights and took great care of my pup! Her communication was good and I received an update every night with photos from the day. When my flight was delayed, she offered to come back and help! Will definitely use Lori again when she’s available!!😊

Having Isabella at our house was such a huge relief. We were gone for a week and she sent lots of pictures of our dogs and stayed in contact with me the whole week. It provided such a peace of mind knowing our dogs and our home were well cared for so we could enjoy our family vacation! I will absolutely book her again in the future!

Once again, we LOVE Annie! She has taken care of our two reactive pups for the past two years while we have been on vacay, and she is absolutely amazing with them. Annie sent us daily updates with pictures, kept up with our dogs’ schedules & medications, and treated our home like her own! Couldn’t ask for a better person to take care of our pups!

Gracie was great! We have a dog that gets medicine multiple times a day and has reactivity issues- it was no problem for Gracie. She kept us informed and let us know when she would be gone longer than expected up front. We did not worry about our dogs at all while we were gone and they both seemed happy and well taken care of when we got back. Our home was left in good shape as well, which was much appreciated. We will definitely use Gracie again.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Mount Holly walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Mount Holly maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Mount Holly choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
