“We had Sarah come for two 30 minute visits Thanksgiving so we could participate in the family fun. We have a 1.5 year old very active Labradoodle so we needed someone who would play with and buddy up to Lindy. This was the first time having Sarah watch and check on our girls. We knew after the initial meet and greet we had picked a winner since she has a large dog of her own and a bubbly personality. The visit went great. Sarah was prompt on the visiting times and asked many questions during the first visit to make sure we were happy with the job she was providing. From the pictures we got they had a fun time playing ball in the yard together ! Glad we have someone close and flexible that can help as a surrogate. We will use her services again before Christmas and are conifers our babies will be in loving hands.”

About: I’ve had dogs since I can remember. I’ve just recently introduced a cat into our dog family and it’s been such a pleasure caring for my babies. I would love to do the same for someone else! I am available at the moment to work any day weekday and weekend, I currently have no restrictions to when I can not do it. I enjoy doing enrichment activities with the animals and playing with them to stimulate their mind. I also like to cuddle with my dogs whenever they want chill time.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for about 10 years, mostly my own (now senior) dogs. I also had a dog who was special needs (partially blind and deaf), and unfortunately passed 3 years ago. I am always open to taking care of your pets! I’m normally the most free every day but Wednesday and do not mind spending the night with your pets! I cannot currently house pets in my own home, but I’m always free to stay at your home! I drive, so only staying for a few hours at a time is also okay. Since I have senior dogs, they often “forget” they went outside, so frequent potty breaks (including in the night) is a must. I also give my dogs medication, so if your pup needs oral medication, I am 100% okay with that.

About: I have cared for dogs as long as I can remember ! I’ve never lived in a home where there isn’t some type of four legged friend around! I myself have 2 German Shepards who I have trained myself. I have experience with puppies, older dogs who need a little more attention, reactive dogs, everything under the sun truly ! I work a 8-5 job and am available between 1-2 to check in or walk pets ! I do not work Fridays so I have full availability Thursday- Sunday ! I have a fenced in yard that the pups could potentially enjoy to run there ! I have multiple parks that I frequent and am familiar with that I take my dogs to ! About: I have had dogs throughout my life, but over the past 7 years I have taken care of several dogs for up to a week at a time, staying at their homes. This has included a couple of senior dogs requiring extra care. I now have my own dog and can’t stay overnight, but would love to check in or walk dogs of any kind! I’m in medical school, and my current schedule is quite flexible. Right now, I can do mornings sometimes, and my evenings and weekends are often open/flexible. I will be completely respectful of your home and ensure that I’m spending quality time with your dog. I’m happy to play with them, let them out, and/or take them for walks. About: For my entire life, I have grown up with a dog in my family home. I have experienced first hand how to care for a 2 month old puppy and a 13 year old senior dog. Since the age of 16, I have also watched family friends dogs, either doing overnight stays or routinely check-ins with the dogs. As a graduate student, I have classes on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. On those days, your pup may be home for a few hours while I’m in class, but I’ll make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and potty breaks before I leave and as soon as I return. Outside of my class schedule, I have a flexible routine and spend most of my time at home, so I’ll be able to provide lots of companionship, playtime, walks, and cuddles throughout the day. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
